Just...wow. The lengths to which this lady went to give her grandfathers name back to him, get some justice for him, and to be able to lay him to rest properly...this man is blessed to have such a tenacious and loving granddaughter. Much love and well wishes to this family from Oregon. What was funny in a strange way is when this girl, Gabby Petito, first disappeared and it came out that she allegedly had a RUclips channel (I have never looked as I try not to follow current cases on social media as much as I can), my eyes got Roger Rabbit big! I would also I have probably opened it fairly quickly, unless it was placed in my care and I wasn’t given permission to open it. But that’s just me, I’m rather old-fashioned in someways.
It feels like the grandmother probably did it and enlisted her 16 YO son to bury and then dispose of the body so it wouldn't come back on her. Of course, that's my gut talking. I doubt there will ever be a conclusion or an arrest in this case since all the major players are dead. I admire Shelly for her tenacity and for giving him back his name. Rest in peace Mr. Mulvaney.
What I really dont understand is, why after keeping the remains hidden for so many years did the stepson just leave the footlocker behind with his friend?? He clearly knew, that his stepfather's remains were in it, and that the trunk would easily be traced to him. And he cant have expected his friend not to open it. Like, did he want this to happen?
Gabriel, how did Shelly's father know that it may be her grandfather in the trunk?? I went back a number of times to find out if I missed that link. Please let me know, did Shelly's mom have some inside knowledge of her stepbrother or mom killing him. Great story!
2 years too late, probably, but... Maybe because it was the stepson's trunk? ("Huh, that's my wife's ***** of a stepbrother. Maybe that's where her dad went.")
