It always infuriates me when rapists and murderers get away with their crimes for decades and get to live into old age. But there's a tiny bit of comfort to be had here, by imagining Lindy's killer sitting in the airport, probably having believed he was in the clear this whole time, just to be completely caught off guard and his whole life destroyed when his past finally catches up with him.

It's a relief when cases like these get solved, but so infuriating that some killers get to just live their lives for decades, marrying, having children who probably have no idea who their parent\spouse really is.
And to think he was their neighbor! oh gosh... to think that Lindy's husband might have greeting him good mooning and such when he saw him... I hope her husband remarried and had children. This is so sad. She seem like such a great person.

I was wondering what became of Lindy's husband, too. How devastating this must have been for all who loved Lindy. Wherever her husband is now, I hope he has been able to move on while relishing memories of the time he spent with Lindy, and I hope the arrest brings him some peace.

I have a theory that Lindy's murder could be linked to two different cases in the state of Delaware. The first case is the June 1980 disappearance of Anne Manchester, a 26-year old University of Delaware student who disappeared from her apartment in Newark, Delaware while studying for her finals. The second (and I think this one has the stronger parallel) is that of Linda O'Day. She was a young woman who was found stabbed to death in her apartment on June 1, 1981. She had last been seen alive after a night of clubbing with her friends. When I saw a picture of Linda, it really struck me that she had the same kind of reddish brown hair that Lindy had. Both cases take place within an hour of the Lancaster, PA area so I really wonder.

Not only are the victims cheated of a future, but their families, and their children suffer as well. There is little doubt he did more that he got away with. The voyeurism ("peeping Tom") crime particularly (and he probably did so in Lindy Sue's case before raping and killing her that evening). It is not unusual that voyeurists go on to commit rape/murder, even though most people shrug off voyeurism as some kind of minor creepy thing. Back in the 1970s particularly, if a woman was raped, she was most likely murdered (so as not to identify the killer). This changed in the 1980s, where more rapists did not kill the victim, and got away with rape (usually claiming the victim consented).

Hi Gabulosis...(I was going to type "Gabbi", but thought it might be presumptuous)...My own personal opinion on this case is the guy should get the death penelty right away. He had half a decade of life after doing this crime, which is a fair sight more than any other death row inmate, and honestly, I don't want my tax money to provide the oxygen tanks he's most likely sucking on in lock up. I'm not a cruel person for thinking this, cruel would be to turn him over to her survivors. An option I wouldn't dismiss out of hand, though.
On to other business, I'm wondering if you have any cases like this that cover American minorities with a focus on Native Americans. I've only ever heard about the brutality inflicted on this section of America, and never any satisfying justice for any of them. Memphis seems to be trying by arresting a handful of bad cops, but that's an on-going thing and most likely to end in disappointment.

Did this murder haunt him his entire life? It wouldn't seem so, considering what I read about his Facebook page. I know this site is about victims, and rightfully so, yet I can't help wondering what made a monster like this in the first place? How did he live with himself all these years? Did he regret what he did, or simply regret being caught?

His wife stayed with him after he was spying on a woman naked in HER salon?!? 😮 She's far more forgiving than I would be! 🤢 Eww!

Wow 🙌 altho I'm sure it could have been solved much sooner. Very sad, her smile and friendly face make it all the more devastating what she went through, & then the waiting so long for justice. BUT, appreciating the solving of cold cases is truly where I want to sit with it. We can't change any of what happened, but answers, finally answers!!

It is a wallpaper from Amazon, search “vintage wallpaper” and you should find it ☺️

05:28 That headline pisses me off so much. I don’t know if it’s a student newspaper, but in any case she deserved to have her name prominent on the page...

I always wonder how come those monsters Just continue living their lives normally just like the rest of us! Like decades as nothing happened! I still till this day think of a aggressive big bird that i had to k*ill cuz it attacked me and my 10 months old son and that was in 2017 and sometimes i cry i feel horrible

This case is heart breaking, a woman with her whole life ahead and a killer that is just... why? Like to kill someone in such a brutal way... why.
This was the first time I've heard Norwegian Elkhound on a channel not dedicated to dogs and it kinda broke my heart a bit. I love the breed and they are such a joy. I hate that she never got to experience that connection that is special to those dogs. I'm a Fur Mom of 4.

I remember first hearing about this case years ago via Cayleigh Elise! So good to hear that it's *finally* been solved! 🙏 I love that all of these older murder and doe cases are being solved now. Technology can be kinda scary, but this is one of many ways it's been put to *good* use.
Also: You are one of my absolute favorite RUclipsrs-and I know life happens sometimes-but feeling spoiled lately with the videos you've been able to put out! Older unsolved and doe cases have always been most fascinating to me, and you are the only YTer I know of that strictly sticks with those types. 🖤🤍
