Just a little update since uploading, I went by how most news sources pronounced her last name and I should know from past cases I’ve covered to not do that. I apologize for the mispronunciation, I verified afterwards the correct pronunciation. It’s easy to make simple mistakes when you’re only one person. Also, no disrespect was meant by the term “fetus”, it just means the baby was not born yet when the murder took place. Sometimes just saying “baby” can get people confused and think she had been born already. Either way, everything I do is done with respect first, I promise that.

Her boyfriend's family knew. At least some of them. So they closed ranks to back their son's story, even though they knew it was a cruel lie. He was probably only in Connecticut long enough to post the letter before returning to them. I can't prove it but I would bet on this and I think they should be investigated.
I was thinking the same thing. His family reassured her family, and that’s one big reason why they didn’t look for her. That alone warrants investigation.
This is heartbreaking. I just feel so badly for her mother that couldn’t understand why her daughter just left like that. She probably died believing her daughter didn’t want to be in her life. This case is so sad 😞😥 I'm so glad they finally got Evelyn's name back and that her family finally knows what happened to her and she is finally receiving long over do justice.
I hope her killer receives a just punishment from his fellow prisoners. A large majority of prisoners are protective of kids. In fact the mere mention of child abuse tears them into a frenzy. He’s going to be feeling what he did come back three fold because you know what, karma always find you and when it’s bad karma it hurts a lot.
Well, that's barbaric. You're hoping that someone just minding his own business is going to feel so enraged that he becomes a murderer and another person is going to get murdered while serving the sentence given by our justice system.
@@stoppit9 barbaric? yes I guess so, same way one would describe the murder of a 15 year old mother to be and her unborn child! Glad that the family no longer has to believe that she ran off and never wanted to contact them. I can understand them not involving the police based upon that letter. Anyway, Luis convicted himself of Murder during that interrogation.
Emily Grace is the name of one of my bestie's daughters that shares a birthday with me. I love that name and I am so glad her family can have some closure. Also, thanks to the nephew Luis for sharing with us all. It makes it so much more real when you can hear from the family.
Hi Gabby so glad to hear that Beth Doe is finally identified. So sad that so many young boys and girls go missing, exploited, and killed. With DNA tests so glad that some cold cases are solved. Hope you stay well and safe 🙏😷
RIP Evelyn and Emily Grace 🌹🌹Forever young. Finally her family get answers,it’s such a tragedy it wasn’t the answers wanted and too late for her mum.So so sad. Well done Gabi a lovely (not sure that’s the right word for it) presented case.
Even if Evelyn's family had gone to the police ASAP, I doubt it would have made a difference. The cops would have said she's a runaway & not investigated much. That happened in several cases from the 70s where a teenage girl disappeared (even without a baby & goodbye letter).😔
Hi Gabby, First of all, I ABSOLUTELY ADORE your channel and the content you present. I rarely comment, but I felt compelled to do so in this case for one reason. I feel that the reason is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT (although given the status of this case, maybe it could help in other cases.). I feel with almost 100% CERTAINTY that the writing on this young lady's hand, was STRONGLY INDICATIVE of a partial LICENSE PLATE NUMBER, given the letters followed by the numbers. I TRULY TRULY FEEL AN EXTREMELY STRONG CONVICTION that this was the purpose of aforementioned writing on the victim. Thank you again for ALL THAT YOU ARE DOING!! The time, the hard work, the research and your dedication does NOT go unnoticed. God Bless you and your family. Lots of Love from the Middletons in Michigan Gabby 👏👏👏👏👏✌✌✌✌✌✌✌💯💯💯💯💯💯😻😻😻😻😻💛❤💛❤💛❤💛
This is quite a devastating case, yet I'm so excited to see a video of a case close to me. I'm from the Allentown, PA area. Thank you for bringing light to this case.
Your focus on the cases makes you the great youtuber that you are, your channel is one of my favorites, there are not many out there who cover vintage cases, the stories and times are so interesting, you go girl :)
I remember seeing Cayleigh Elise cover Evelyn Colon's/Beth Doe's case as well, I'm also really happy that she's been identified and that a suspect in her murder has been arrested. I hope Cayleigh has heard the news and knows that her video helped get Evelyn Colon's case and so many cold cases like hers back into the public spotlight.
Cases like this are a large part of the reason I pursued studies in forensic anthropology. We are all affected by the tragedies of such cases, but very rarely are we able to do anything to resolve the mystery. I had to give up my studies formally, but I have continued to learn on my own. It is a wonderful moment when a case as old as this is resolved. Thanks so much for the follow-up and for bringing us the resolution! Evelyn's family chose a beautiful name for her baby girl. I thought of her as Estrella since I learned of this case.
Great job Gabby. You do give people a voice, whether it's the victim and/or the family. Can't wait to see Luis Sierra rot. P.S. love the new hair color and great lipstick color to compliment it.
Don’t judge the nephew or the grandmother back then that is the way it was I know because I grew up in the 70s and I’m only about two years younger than Evelyn would’ve been. My heart goes out to the nephew and the family ❤️ Great job Gabby, and please do a part two😎
Hello Beautiful!!! You're such a gem, so glad you uploaded today! The hubs left for a 2 month job and you have perfect timing! Hoping you are well, my dear, love and peace ❤ & ✌🏼
Gabby...thank you for doing such a great job on this case,it has bothered me for years. I am sure her family appreciates all of your hard effort. To know that she has been identified and her family informed is such a great relief. Thanks again Gabby...very well done.
I can't imagine not reporting my family member missing based off a letter that says I'll reach out if I need anything and decade's go by but also knowing there most likely is abuse going on!
These cases give me hope that we can finally give name back to The boy in the box and St Louis Jane Doe. My heart hurts for those children. I hope they can get some justice in future.
It's been quite a while since I was this early for one of your videos. The title alone makes me very happy and grateful for her family, and for her memory. Yet it's also so, so heartbreaking... May there be love, health and light for her loved ones. I wish them all the best.
Evelyn is surely looking over your shoulder as a watchful angel. Further the work you have done also brings out our feelings for Emily Grace. Gabby, take care of yourself.
I just want to say you did a good job covering this case, as dark as it is. Glad the family reached out to you, my condoles goes out to them. This case is sad all around. She was so young and that neighbor saying he feels sorry for this murderer, I am honestly confused and I work in Law Enforcement, trust me the ugly side of human nature is very ugly. Feel very bad for her and her family, that is where my feelings are. Glad she got her name back and her family knows what happened to their loved one, even though it was not at all what I know they wanted to hear after all those years of missing her.
Another heartbreaking story of precious lives lost. Thank you for sharing and for spreading awareness of the red flags of domestic violence and the outcome that may come of it 🦋🌻
I just remembered you posted. Kiddos are in bed. I’m glad you did this case. Very respectfully done. Poor momma and baby RIP I’m glad you have your name back. Good job Gabby.
This is a much more comprehensive discussion of this case than at most websites. I still don't understand why they did not report her missing. She was 15. I'm sorry but yes it is easy to judge. Once at least several years had past, the police should have been contacted. I'm glad there was a resolution.
Great video as always ! I wonder if you would look into the case of Richey Edwards? He was in a famous band here in the UK in the 90’s and disappeared without a trace under very mysterious circumstances.

I hope he spends what time he has left in prison. I’m glad Evelyn’s family now knows she didn’t choose to leave them... but I have a feeling they kinda knew that in their hearts...just didn’t have proof until now. ❤️
I was literally researching her online when the identification was announced. I got so excited! I’m so happy she got her name back and that her killer will get justice.
I remeber caleigh elies covering this years ago! im so glad she's got her name back
This case is so sad 😞😥 I'm so glad they finally got Evelyn's name back and that her family finally knows what happened to her and she is finally receiving long over do justice.
I'm guessing that's what kind of karma he deserves... 🤷♀️ I've heard it said that karma has a tendancy to come two fold.. Seems fitting, after all he got to live most of his life free.. 🤔
Heartbreaking end. So happy there will finally be JUSTICE for Evelyn and her unborn baby girl. Praying for her family. I will donate as soon as I can!
Wow. What was done to her and her baby is horrific. This story is absolutely heartbreaking. I'm glad they finally identified her.
I am grateful that she got her name back. Truly a sad case. I hope that now she and her daughter can rest in peace and that the family will be able to find closure and answers thanks to the arrest that has been made
Glad that the family no longer has to believe that she ran off and never wanted to contact them.
A very moving story, and yes, please do a follow-up!
Most detailed and intimate portrait of this case! Good job girlie!
Heartbreaking story 💔
Hi Gabby so glad to hear that Beth Doe is finally identified. So sad that so many young boys and girls go missing, exploited, and killed. With DNA tests so glad that some cold cases are solved. Hope you stay well and safe 🙏😷
I made a donation. Thank you for the work that you do ♥️ Evelyn’s family, I am sending you love and prayers
Technology has come so far and I'm glad she and her family got justice.
Love the hair!! Thank you Gabby 🥰❤
Gabby this is one of the sadness cases i have ever heard just knowing bout the baby im so glad she has her name bk RIP to both 🙏🏻
This is quite a devastating case, yet I'm so excited to see a video of a case close to me. I'm from the Allentown, PA area. Thank you for bringing light to this case.
That’s so sweet that they came together and picked a baby name 🥺🤍
Your focus on the cases makes you the great youtuber that you are, your channel is one of my favorites, there are not many out there who cover vintage cases, the stories and times are so interesting, you go girl :)
Also your hair and your eyeshadow and lips matching is so pleasing
Oh WOW! The strawberry blonde look is amazing. ❤️💃
I remember seeing this case on Cayleigh Elise channel. I am so happy she got her name back.
I always love how much effort you put into your cases!
This is just so heartbreakingly sad...
So sad and sick at the same time. You truly felt this case, always know when your hurting when your doing a certain kind of case. Bless you xx
Never been this fast. Un saludo desde Buenos Aires, Argentina!
I just want to say thank you, Gabulosis, for all of your videos. You are always very respectful of the victims and their families in your videos and they are well researched and put together. I have been a subscriber for a while now and have never seen any disrespect from you towards anyone and I appreciate that. Also I wish I could give every single person who has had any wrongness done to them a great big hug and tell them I love them. 🙂
Sending my prayers and love ❤️🙏🏻 too her family
omg !! just got out the shower to see this ! this case is one that’s always stuck with me , i’m so happy !
this case has stuck with me ever since i first heard of it, and i'm so glad that her identity has been discovered and she's getting justice.
I couldn't do much on Social Security, but I donated and hope they'll get them home soon. Thank you for sharing.
You did a wonderful job covering Evelyn's case. That is such a horrific way to go. I feel so bad for her family. I will keep them in my prayers. 46 years is such a long time to receive such information. I am sure on some level there must be a relief in having them both back. You really do have the right kind of heart for doing this work. My prayers are with that family. Thank you for sharing this. I always feel better when they are found as opposed to going forever and not knowing. Thank you Gabi
Honestly your video was the first time i heard this news. It really put a smile on my face. I am really happy for the family finding out the truth and being able to bury her and her baby's bodies.
Gab, you do wonderful work I commend you for the awesome work you do.
I remember when the body was found because I only live about 20 miles away from White Haven. Every some Often I wonder If we would find who she was. just about a week or so ago the store came out in our local newspaper. I was glad that they found out who she was. But I felt sad for her too. Thank You for this story.
Hi new subscriber here! Just wanna let u know I love your channel and you do a phenomenal job!
So sad. I'm glad the family has gotten some justice. I'm going to the go fund me to donate as soon as finished watching this video. ❤ from NJ. Love your videos😊
I've just found and subbed to your channel. So this was my first watch....I'm now excited to watch many more from you.....your consideration and empathy is so evident. Thank you and here's to many more 😁🇬🇧
Tragic. I hope that the person or persons responsible receive the worst possible rest of their lives.
Very thoughtful and respectful presentation
I just returned back to YT as a subby...I enjoy your channel - you address older cold cases and you present them very well and I want to say thank you for giving voices to cold case victims.
I've been a fan for less than a month , but I love your content. I am a history nut , mostly military , but also other topics and you have caught my interest. keep up the great work.
