I can’t believe that I’ve been able to watch this trajectory Tae’s been working on for a few years since it began. He feels this music to his core, I swear, and he’s spectacularly equipped with a uniquely lush, rich set of pipes. These two men blend their differing vocals to perfection, neither eclipsing the other. Tae continues to explore and hone his talent and I’m thrilled to see where he takes it next. No wonder Bing Crosby’s estate reached out to him for the wonderful White Christmas project. I felt and really enjoyed your sincere reaction. 💜 ETA: also a new version with a jazz trio backing the vocals was released a couple of days ago. It’s wonderful, with a slightly different vibe and sound. I believe you’d enjoy it.
I have not been around long in terms of BTS or ARMY anything, but I feel like that Tae's growth is so absurdly crazy, its like his voice was lit on fire and just went to the moon, I could see why too, he is part of that era it feels. thank you so much! I will get to it ASAP!
I’ve always felt that Tae is the most romantic of the group & this song sure fits into that romantic genre. I have a playlist of just Tae songs, his album, his singles & his solo songs on BTS albums & it my go to playlist when I just need to mellow out. He could sing the phone book & I’d listen!!
V did a driving vlog maybe a year or two ago, not sure, but he was playing music off his playlist and one of the songs was a Bing Crosby song that my mother loved and sang all the time. This genre of music fits Tae to a T. One of my favorite songs. It"s beautiful. I listen to it several times a day. My parents woul have loved this song. Enjoyed the rea tion on the music, but you didn't comment on the video which I would have liked to hear your thoughts. See you soon.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
oh thats sweet! I love that, see that seems so much like a Tae thing, I feel like he just has a very deep emotional understanding! I bet she would have as well. oh, thats weird, usually I make some comment on the video, how did I miss that?
Taehyung’s interpretation and execution of lyrics feel as if he’s lived through that experience. And even with inner turmoil, there is a sense of acceptance.
@@Killdeer25 Thank you for agreeing with me😅I think Park Hyo Shin’s delivery is impeccable and classic. For Tae’s birthday, I am wondering if you have time to react to his duet with IU, Ending Scene. It seemed he used his vocals as a woodwind or brass instrument. I’d love to hear your thoughts on his vocal use. I respect your experience and knowledge. Also, you have a beautiful tone and a commanding voice.
The whole concept here is just amazing. The vocals and music are really sublime and crafted with care. Both voices blend do well. The video is pure art and how it ties into Pygmalion and art coming to life and inner darkness etc. it’s wonderful noir feeling short film. His acting is stellar. How they keep topping themselves with projects they made 2 years ago then just save it up for us during this long military service. Most. Spoiled. Fandom. Ever.
I agree with what Kristen said, I kinda hope he gets back into acting, because I thought he was so good in this, he has a gift! Again, I agree, I think they have done so well with keeping us up to date with everything, even in Military.
OHHHHH Park Hyo Shin's voice will blow your mind. He has had to deal with a lot of crap, again most of it to do with his agency. Brilliant but sticks to the same type of song, (no dancing in the kitchen with his tracks (the few that I know anyway hahaha) a lot of idols love him and all try his song "Wildflower" , (him and Kim Kyung Ho but thats for another video) This is a must for you as you did seem impressed. Try the live version where he is just sitting on stage and the audience is just all around him looking up mesmerised and he is utterly drained at the end. You liked this one Aaron!
yeah, honestly, I think I might have to check out his stuff, there is a few artists I have slowly cooking on my burner that will make their debut on the channel that is more along the Park Hyo Shin side of singing, I will try and do a live stage, I think this will be super awesome to check out!
@Killdeer25 Yep defo the live stage of Wildflower for starters. Kept my fingers still, (no typing out other names as you will get to them eventually haha)
Park Hyo Shin is a phonomenal voice. This man was forced to sing in a certain style when he debuted years ago, and it really disguised the true beauty of his voice. He decided to change it, and what a treat for us that he did. I've never seen a singer that has trained his voice so technically that you can see individual muscles in his face and neck working to create a flawless delivery. Check out his "Wildflower".. It floors me every time I listen.
if I am not mistaken, it is based on the greek mithology story of Pigmalion, as one Army said, but as anything with art it is open to interpretation. I particularly like how abstract Taehyung's videos are, he really is a wonderful storyteller, but with a very conceptual imagery I agree with you, his voice is very classic, but not all the song is sung by him, also Park Hyo Shin sings here 😊
yeah! Park Hyo Shin was amazing here, he is very classical sounding, I could see that comparison now, I guess I have been focusing on the wrong ancient civilization lol!
Well this is gorgeous. The feature sounds like he just recorded a duet with Judy Garland and then caught a time machine to our time to do a duet with V! I honestly thought for a minute it must just be Taehyung singing a duet with a recording of an old Hollywood singer like the last one with Bing Crosby. Park Hyo Shin's tone and phrasing sounds just exactly like singing from that era, while Tae's voice and phrasing does capture that era but still somehow sounds modern, less old fashioned and maybe a little darker, edgier, bleaker? He exactly captured the mood of the mv which was really quite dark and unnerving underneath the lush romantic vibe. It's brilliantly done really. I hope Tae continues to pursue acting in the future because he's very gifted at it.
I agree, very Judy Garland era of voice Park Hyo Shin has, I really liked that roundedness he has, its perfect. I agree, I think this really suits him, I know this seems kind of a weird comparison, but the more Tae goes down his solo stuff the more he reminds me of Kyungsoo, because its not the typical idol music and seems more like they had wanted to pursue this kind of music
@ I can see the comparison between Tae and Kyungsoo with going in a completely different direction from their groups for solo work. Style-wise, Baekhyun does this old Hollywood sound more often than Kyungsoo but I don’t think he contributes to songwriting much whereas Kyungsoo does.
I think you might be right, I just feel like out of every idol, it feels like they just don't really care to make idol music solo, I almost feel like it's a whole different person, especially Kyungsoo, like sometimes after listening to his solo stuff I'm like, "it feels weird to see him doing EXO music" lol
@ Interesting. I think for me, because it was Kyungsoo’s acting that brought me to kpop, and his first solo album came out within weeks of me getting into EXO, I listened to it all the time right alongside theirs so for me it almost feels like part of their discography. But you’re right, it’s very different from EXOs music. More so than the others except maybe Suho. His rock vibe is pretty different from EXOs music too. It’s interesting, the choice to become an idol instead of a solo artist. Maybe there’s a bigger chance of making it as an idol. It certainly can’t be that it’s easier to become an idol. Trainee life is insane. But maybe statistically higher chance of making it big as an idol first? I don’t know. But I’m super glad they did both! I can’t imagine their groups without them!
@@Killdeer25 Good! In the USA I think Vegas is a great place to go. Lots of other things to do, it's not too expensive, and the entire town turns into Boraegas. For the time BTS is in town. The town turns purple, the fountain at Bellagio plays BTS music, the hotels offer BTS packages, and every where you go you hear flocks of ARMY in the wild chanting and singing!

absolutely! I agree, I feel like you mix in that old romantic soul and some of that old jazz warmth he puts out, its just the perfect recipe for real
