After tuning the Aprilia RS 660 to Victor Ruvalcaba, Dave put the suspension back to the stock settings and began the suspension tuning process for his pace and riding style.

Can you guys please do a similar test on a street triple rs? We would call you over to India but, yea, that's not happening any time soon. Having a dave moss review and tune is absolutely, insanely priceless. There is no reviewer on earth, including some fantastic journalists out there, who have the kind of insight dave presents in this video or in any of the test & tune videos tbh. Companies should be paying you to do this, tbh. Or giving you free bikes. I think better if they paid you ;)

Looking forward to being home again soon. Track day providers have contracts with suspension tuning companies, so I would not be allowed to touch any bikes.

Every dealer should setup the bikes ergonomics when you give them 4 million dollars for a bike worth 6k... it should come already sprung for the buyers weight too just saying
What is recommended setup for RS660 if I'm 92kg with gear ? When I'm in the corners leaning more a feel the bike chatter in stock setup. Thanks a lot.
Srt sag in the 30-40mm range front and rear, Set damping at 50% of the total range, then assess traverl used front and rear. Adjust preload as needed to optimize travel.
Hi Dave if run wide, does that mean we have to add the compression and rebound clicks in?
Running wide is shock too soft so we add preload. If it still runs wide we look at rebound being too slow next.
@@CatalystReactionSBW Dave you adjusted the forks when the rider came in and reported the chatter was gone but the bike was running wide. Was the rebound closed slightly at this point? Ive heard or read you say before that if rebound is too fast you can get an under steer effect out of the forks, I’d like to just verify as I take notes of this info for when tuning my/friends bike. Thank you in advance!

@Yirlani Demo bikes are available at no cost. They suggest you bring your bike as you may only get a couple of rides (RS and Tuono).

Dave Williams, editor, replying here. It's a royalty free track called "New Tires" from the RUclips library. Can't chance using real music anymore. Even music we used for "free" back in the OnTheThrottle days from bands that just wanted exposure have now been sold to rights companies, and all those videos got demonetized. Well, they get monetized, but all the money goes to the rights holder (which is no longer the band).
@@CatalystReactionSBW i would file appeals on all of those, your permission to use pre-dates any contracts they’ve made since then, whether they like it or not. Worth trying and making it clear you have permission from the rights holder at the time. Nobody goes after Sony for putting a song in a movie just because rights were sold afterwards. Messed up how they screw with youtubers
