I just picked up Bias FX 2 Elite today and it sounds great. Would be cool to see you do some Trivium and Machine Head tones but regardless awesome video Nik!

When he was in doubt about the 5150 and the Dual Rec patch on the Bullet tone I was like well they used both, like the Dual Rec on the left and the 5150 on the right and for the leads so it makes sense why you would be in doubt.
As I remember, they use 5150 only. Amp goes through Mesa V 30 cab with sm 57 mic.
They used the Dual Rec during the Scream Aim Fire

Actually Drive + Insane 5153 V2 Amp combination on Gojira sounds very simular with their tone in their live DVD Called "L'enfant Sauvages". People who know that DVD will agree.

Could be great some tones diferents than modern metal tones(big part of them are 5150/mesa boogie + ts9/808)
Maybe blues tones like bb King or classic metal like firsts Metallica albums

Gojira's tone was muddy in The Way Of All Flesh but in the mix it was tight but was fizzy in From Mars To Sirus
But in Magma they used less guitar tracks and made it more tight but had less body or at least i think so
People always put some boost like a 808 but they dont have one. It's the entire band that make them tight (also a good gate)

Why didn't you change the Cabinet Models? That can have a huge effect on the frequency response & eq.

I love how despite Neural DSP & other companies putting out extremely high quality digital amp simulators, Positive Grid still regurgitates the same overly digital crap while charging way more than any of the other companies (I.e. Neural).

I wrote to Overloud, Positive Grid and Mooer and asked about AUv3 support for TH-U mobile, Bias FX 2 mobile and GE Labs, respectively. They wrote back the following:
- Overloud (June 8, 2020): Currently the app doesn’t support IAA nor AUv3, however we are working on it and in the next weeks we will release a new version (same app tho) that include the AUv3. So you won’t need to purchase it again.
- Positive Grid (June 11, 2020): We will not support AUv3.
- Mooer: No answer, yet. (June 11, 2020)

I enjoy this video. However, I don't think the Disturbed sound you tried to make sounded like the guitar in Stricken. Stricken sounds like it has more treble and less mid and bass than the tone you made. Perhaps mess with the EQ more?
Can you make a video about how to do all the apps to guitar setup thing you do? Or with your computer because guides online suck

What BMTH song was that
I personally enjoy Bias FX 2 and dig what you can do with it, but it's too limited in terms of compatibility with DAWS at least as far as I'm aware. I couldn't even use it in Pro Tools (I might just be too stupid since I got into Daws and stuff just recently). I also think they should expand on the recorder which would serve as an alternative to certain other programs.
Bias fx 2 works with pro tools. Maybe you need to learn more

With it being an iPad, he is probably using an iRig adapter and just connecting to the iPad using a lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter. Then you just plug your guitar in to the quarter inch input jack. Then you can just use the headphone out to listen to the app audio. Or you can get a 3.5mm to quarter inch jack and plug directly into your audio interface. You can also just wire to a set of speakers using an aux cord.

Lee Maila used a Marshall JCM 800 boosted with an OCD overdrive, you can try with a Boss SD 1 too, he has a rig rundown video.
If you already copied his settings it’s not going to sound the same, you have to factor in the guitar as well.
What do you think about the iRig?

If I have Bias FX 2 on my MacBook Pro do I get the phone app with it or do I have to buy it separately?
If you have the premium editions you get the apps included.
Also if you buy the iPhone version it is not the same as the iPad version unfortunately..... a bit stupid but that is what we have to deal with if you don’t get the premium versions.

Huge fan of NIK, but my exp with bias fx 2 is..its a scam...as soon as you buy some good metal stuff, and save some good tones, they block you from them and tell you, you have to buy bais amp...Ive had nothing but trouble everytime I tried to start this shit..total frustrationnn...:(

What song did you play in the BFMV section?
I think he made it up on the spot. It sounds so familiar, but as far as I know, it’s not in any of the early BFMV albums. There’s some songs that sound kind of similar but it’s not what he played
