This get two thumbs and two toes up! Ok seriously most of us can't afford $20,000 in gear, and honestly the BIAS FX 2, and BIAS AMP, along with Jam Up pro will give us everything we could possible want. A $39 dollar adapter and we are rocking. Upgrade to a better MIDI interface to have an IK stomp board, and add a Mic, etc and you are all set for less than a mid range Marshal head and cab. I agree please make this a series. There are a lot of folks who went this route because we are bedroom artists, we don't gig, or teach or have the funds for a real rig. The stuff you can do with speakers, mics within the software is pretty awesome too.
gold3npimp I know lots of folks that have 30,000 plus in guitars alone. Start throwing in different pedals, three or four amps for different tones and yeah you will far exceed it. I couldn’t even get to 3K in gear. So for me the whole setup will be less than 500, and the tones available will be equivalent to thousands in amps, pedals, and gear.
@@aiden_macleod Lol get the fuck outta here, those first 4 albums sounded fucking badass compared to the often overproduced and fake sounding shit that comes out nowadays.
@@aiden_macleod These are 35 year old albums. The guys had limited studio time and everything was recorded on tape. Nowadays everybody sounds the same because you just press a button and you have a set guitar tone and you don't even need a real drummer to record an album.

Yo everything u done in this vid helpers me make a tone of my own😂 talking bout eqs, stuff I didn't even know I had to mess with to change sound and tone
I recently started re-exploring Bias FX and Bias Amp on an older iPad 2 using an older Apogee Jam 30 pin interface. I re-setup my iPad 2 and it allowed me to download older versions still compatible with iPad 2. It's an amazing combo for a dedicated guitar rig. Even presets I make using multiple pedals, compressors, eq's will only peg CPU at 50-60%. Plays in background too so RUclips lessons and tutorials can be jammed with easy. Bias FX and Bias Amp (version 2) need tweaking to get the best sounds but starting with some popular downloads of amps from the web is a good starting point, then tweak away. They can sound absolutely amazing. Been able to dial in many artists tones from Niel Young to Lynch, to Andy Taylor or The Edge, to Brian May or Robin Trower or even as seen here - Slipknot, Meshugga, and more modern metal sounds. 80's hair metal or thrash sounds are easy. Zep, Sabbath, Cream, Hendrix - it's all there if you tweak settings

Yo Nik, I saw that you reacted to Poppy. You should check out her song Scary Mask ft. FEVER 333. I think it's her best metal song. I know you normally react to newer stuff but I still highly recommend it.
It’s pretty neat how a program on the computer can mimic an entire amp with presets. Does this app and your amp go hand in hand? I have a fender mustang 3? That came with a CD and the app has everything the amp has plus community made effects.
Hey Nik can you do a quick run-through of the actual setup to use this? I have have a 1/4" jack to USB cord that I use for rocksmith that I plug into a lightning to USB adapter to then plug into my iPad and play through Bias. However, the only way to get live monitoring is through the iPad speakers (since there's no headphone jack anymore) and if you use Bluetooth there's a crazy lag. Anyways, how are you monitoring? Are you using a splitter? A different input thing like an iRig? Or something else? Cheers
I’m going to tell you (being an android guy myself). Buy an IPad because the only thing that android has is “deplike” and a few others if you have an up to date interface like iRig2 or something of the sort.
Hi Nik, great video. I have a question for you, when I try to use drive or distortion with Bias FX 2 in my IPAD I get an ugly sound like static or feedback very loud, imposible to play. I use de IRig (the first version) do you think that this is the problem?
yo dude. 2 questions. where do you come from (i mean your name is Popović) and where is your video about shredders of metal. btw congratulations, you earned this esp and other shit
can you explain how did you connect your guitar and which gear you used? your ipad is connected to monitors directly or through a sound card and computer?
Jonathan Lustig There’s many options for connecting your guitar to your mobile device. I’d recommend the iRig because it’s cheap, portable, and easy to use.
Which iPad do you have? I'm using an older iPad 2 and an Apogee Jam interface. IK Multimedia also makes an interface called iRig. I'm using the Apogee Jam because I've had it for years. It uses the 30 pin connector. The iRig, I think, uses the microphone/headphone jack connector. The new Apogee Jam uses the Lightning connector. Any class compliant USB audio interface will work with the USB to lightning or older 30 pin connector. It needs separate USB power from a powered Hub to work though. Apogee Jam and iRig do not need USB hub or USB connection. Apogee Jam I highly recommend. For older or newer iPads. It has a gain adjustment for guitar 1/4" cable connect and is very small. Use a full range speaker or plug iPad into a powered PA for best sound or use headphones. Bias FX with Bias Amp fully upgraded is expensive but worth it. I've duplicated a lot of sounds from Metallica, to Hendrix, to Niel Young to Andy Taylor
Well, standard tuning is EADGBE; buy a guitar worth more than $500 and an amp worth more than $300. Now, all you’ll need is a headset, some heavy picks, a guitar strap and a book of tabs from your favorite band/artists.
