Problem is the majority of Nascar fans have a serious case of Hamlin derangement syndrome. Nascar could pay a team to "accidentally slip" into the 11 or cause an ill-timed caution. I live in a state where there is no competition. Always goes the same way so we have not seen even one commercial. I always feel sorry for the people living in "swing" states during election time. They have to be getting bombarded 24/7.
The teams are not getting the long term commitments from sponsors they did in years past and they need more income than ever to keep putting cars on the track every week.
