Thanks Bevan for sharing another great video of yours , that set was in appalling condition but hopefully the RTM will eventually restore them to a much better condition again , I'm not too sure as to why the power car was in the middle but I guess that's where it ended up after some shunting before the transfer began.
I lived in Orange and well remember these sets operating from Orange one day to Parkes then next day operate to Dubbo.and so on.They were meeting the Central West Express from Sydney which stopped at Orange then back to Sydney.Steam locos first then Diesel Locos.

From time to time, when I'm driving past the steel works at Port Kembla, the little old 48 class shunters will be on the tracks moving cars around.
It was 12 or so years ago at the museum thanks to some volunteers
