- Today our 75-year old Women’s Best athlete Joan MacDonald is here with a quick Arm & Shoulder Workout. This 10-min session includes exercises that target all the major muscles in your upper body. This workout requires no equipment - only a sofa, bench or something similar near by is needed. Don’t forget to start this session with some warm-up exercises.
If you train your upper body regularly you can build lean muscles and make strength gains. Without strengthening this area, your lower back muscles often have to compensate for your arms and shoulders, which can result in strain, unexplained pain or an overuse injury.
