I’m American. I’ve watched a lot of anime, read a lot of manga. Between that and Hollywood movies over here, you guys win hands down. The potential for creativity alone puts it on another level, and this one especially… for the record, my all time favorites are the three from 2017: Houseki no Kuni, Made in Abyss, and of course this one Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou. All three have made me cry hard, all three have consistently stuck in my memory as some of the best stories I’ve ever seen. This anime is one of the turning point in my life. It gave me a sense of life. It taught me that no matter life gives you, you should step forward. After reading the manga, and seeing their struggle, i feel like a piece of shit if I can't even do as much as them. The stair scene and when they got on top and find nothing. For me, those scene ( in manga) really give impact in my life. It makes me want to live my life and giving up is a foolis and cowardice move. When they keep on climbing the stair until they can't feel their feet. Really a masterpice and a road of rollercoaster with soothing ending. Good night, Chito and Yuuri
I feel something uneasy about this song, it's like, peaceful. But at the same time it has vibes like someone is on their death bed, dying, accepting everything in the past. The song feels close to death, something that I would hear on my last day.

Damn...I felt that 100%. The song at face value is very charming and nice...but its also haunting in a way. It's enjoyable to listen too but it doesn't raise your spirits, it makes you feel somber. Perfect microcosm of the show as a whole. I love everything about the show...but I have a hard time convincing myself to re-watch it.

Haven't seen the anime yet, but the manga is one of my favorites. If you have only seen the anime, you should totally get into the manga to see the journey to its end. Truly beautiful and genuinely one of my favorite endings to literally anything.

Love how this single anime united some folk to one. I see Russians, Koreans, Spanish, English, Portuguese, and of course Japanese, just in this video alone. Pretty cool huh. The manga and anime were the first pieces of art in media that managed to make me shed a tear a little bit. I love Girls' Last Tour.
Though the rest of the soundtrack carries this same somber yet hopeful tone, I'm convinced this song in particular is just one of "those" songs ... The kind that are so completely special and unlike any other that nothing really even compares. The melody is reminiscent of military marches from the early 20th century, yet it's juxtaposed with two young girls singing the lyrics... The way the two voices perfectly harmonize and fade in and out of sync is just sublime. Similarly the lyrics are somber, heavily foreshadowing the ending of the manga which I don't think I need to remind you was sad as fuck... Yet the singing still sounds upbeat, with an almost childlike innocence. What amazes me most is the depth and complexity to the meaning and sound of this song... Fundamentally the entire thing is acapella with only the sound of raindrops keeping time, every other part of the melody is just two voices singing, yet it doesn't feel like it, it almost sounds like an orchestra in how precise the harmony is. Truly one of a kind. It's no wonder the scene in which it plays is regarded as the best moment in the series.
Few months back I finished the Manga I was oddly enough at peace I expected to cry or left in thoughts like in the five before but somehow it didn't feel sad and neither did I All came to an end. As it always was going to. I hope that wherever the two potatoes are that they are happy with the choices they made. Rest easy now that your journey is over you two. You deserved it for such a long time
GLT was such a cute anime. expected it to get dark real quick with themes of war and whatnot, if not dark right off the bat. but after watching, it never delved that far if at all into the lore or of the war that ravaged the cityscape. However, that's what i love about this cute lil' anime. it focuses less on the complex convoluted lore of the world, and more on the relationship between Chi and Yu (If i got her name right), and their adventures into the unknown. They also experience amenities that we take for granted. They ate a fish, which they seem to have barely known what a fish even looked like. They had baths, which we have basically every day. They saw the stars, which we barely even look at it's so commonplace. All in all, this anime is so adorable, i might just come back to it later for it's comfortable vibes. P.S., Chi x Yu and you can't convince me otherwise.

All I have to say is that I can't compare this to anything else this is the best that has ever impacted me, nothing can beat this beautiful fucking animanga.. I really won't forget it especially seeing all these videos reappearing in my recommended.. it really has changed me.. sometimes I think to it whenever I make decisions how the girls would handle things

Tkmiz (the mangaka) said on his Twitter that the Blu-ray sales weren’t good which is why there won’t be a s2. Highly recommend you read the final 2 volumes though they’re my favorite things in general esp the final one is the best thing I’ve ever read.
even if there is S2, they wouldnt have much material left to work with
@@Balpindo they’d have exactly 6 episodes worth (s1 was 12ep and 4 vol. there’s 6 vol overall). They could do a movie but I doubt that will ever happen sadly.
