I don't think a video like this will ever not bring a tear to my eye. I can't believe I still get emotional about it now. I don't think there will ever be another monarch like Queen Elizabeth II in my lifetime. She was an incredible woman
Although it’s been almost six months, I, too, still feel emotional when I see something like this to remind me. I am Canadian and a senior but I vividly recall keeping a scrapbook of newspaper clippings of the Royal Family as a young child. I also remember the services held at school and at church when her father died and when she was crowned. I can still sing parts of the songs we used at the time … well, these days most of my singing is in my head. 😊
She made a subtle protest about women not being allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia by personally driving the Saudi king around Balmoral when he visited. She may not have had political power but she had moral power, which is far more noble.
Even now, tears fell while watching this video. I don't have a TV so I'd no idea of people's reactions. The Queen was UNIQUE. There will never be another like her.
Nope, I’ll always remember my 2009 Woodys reaction to the Queen’s death and it still haunts me the way Woody screamed “you’re lying!” Until I showed him the evidence and he cries in my arms and I cried in Mummy’s arms also; I’ll never forget how all 3 of us hugged all night
I’ve was born in the early 50s and grow up with the Queen, here in Australia she was part of our country’s history (even though some would not choose to recognise that fact) but I honestly thought she would outgrow me. She did her duty with honour, dignity and faith. RIP Queen of Hearts❤️❤️❤️

I can tell you, her passing had a profound effect in non-British regions of the world as well. I look after folks with cognitive differences who are unable to live on their own here in Norway. When they heard the news, it was all some of them wanted to talk about. I had to go away and have a private little cry (I'm from New Zealand, so my heart strings were really pulled), so when I got back to work, we tried to look for information and news in Norwegian so they could follow what was going on. She had an impact on the world and Norwegians remember the support given to their royal family in Britain during WW2. I don't think it will ever be the same.
The Queen's death was a tremendous shock and upset, even to me and I'm a supporter of an independent Scottish republic. That shows how much of a presence she was.
Very few things in life move so many people to the same powerful emotions. What a moment of history to witness, and to think we’d all accepted she’d live forever.

We lost our role model in the United States when President Kennedy was murdered. The Queen then became very important to us as a source of stability. Her visits to us in Virginia were very much appreciated. She comforted us after 911. Her Covid speech was the best by far of any world leader. She is truly irreplaceable.
Okay I'm American born in 1979 and I'm not a Republican or Conservative. But I seriously don't get the Kennedy mystique. If you said FDR I'd get it because the man helped us out of the Depression and Win WWII. He was also the only President some younger Americans knew or remembered when he died. So him being the Nations Role Model I get, but Kennedy really? It's not even like Kennedy followed a bad President Ike was solid.

We will never see another monarch like her. Never. I am 54 years old and I have lived to see the longest serving ever queen, a new millennium etc. I think she kept the family going and I can’t see the love for Charles that we had for her. People still don’t forget Diana. RIP Our Queen and thank you. XX
I didn't mourn for her passing I CELEBRATED her LIFE and the impact she had. I honestly didn't know how I would react she has been my only monarch. I knew how I reacted to Diana's death I was devastated I sobbed. I even caught the train to London so I could go lay flowers I grew into womanhood with her and just loved her it was that simple. Yet when the news broke I silently cried and my first thought was she's gone to be with Phillip. So no the end of an era and the start if a new one but he has big shoes to fill and I don't think he has it. William and Catherine on the other hand now we're talking there is nothing about them I dislike.
Im not even British and surprisingly I cried. It felt like the world had changed at that moment, the world lost something that it will never see again.
Our Queen devoted her life to serve us. She declared that 70 years ago when she was 25. What a age to have that put on her. Not only to serve us but the Commonwealth. At her tender age of 25 she did us proud. Our Queen had suffered . A daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother. a great grandmother, a wife. Our Queen wanted to complete her journey. Having a meeting with Boris Johnson leaving Prime Minister and meeting the new Prime Minister. Now her devotion to us was done and our Queen laid her head and Philip put his arms around our Queen,. Hope you have that marmalade sandwich Lilibeth.
My heart goes out to the people of the U.K. Most of its citizens don't remember a United Kingdom without Elizabeth, either as Queen or as future Queen. I can't imagine the psychological jolt this is to all of you. But as an American I'd like to make a suggestion. Once the coronation of King Charles takes place and you settle into the new reign there will be a tendency in years to come for you to believe/claim that "England died with Elizabeth II," especially during rough times. Don't go down that road psychologically. It will lead to fatalism. England can survive if its people want it to survive and do what it takes to make the nation strong. The nation existed before Elizabeth was born, it can survive after she's gone. I honor her memory and respect her service to her people, but she was a symbol. She was not the sum total of British life. Long live the memory of Queen Elizabeth II. God save the King. And may God bless the people of the United Kingdom.
Even as an American I cried too. It’s still shocking that she’s actually gone. Her grandchildren standing guard at her coffin got me. But when I saw her hands in the last picture I had a feeling she would pass soon. But when I look at Charlotte I see a young Elizabeth.
As Marcus said 'she was still a mum, grandmother and great grandmother". that is where I immediately went. Also there are 4 kids out there that lost Mum and Dad in under 1 year, 5 months. Under 17 months. That would be hard.
Marcus was spot on. The course of the then future queen's life took a dramatic turn when she was just ten years old. If Edward VIII hadn't abdicated the Queen would have probably lived a life of privilege and obscurity but events beyond her control shaped the course of her life.

I didn’t think I’d be too upset. I obviously was sad cuz she’s the Queen but we didn’t personally know her and I don’t think about her daily but if I take a quiet moment, I feel sad. For as long as I live I’ll never truly see the kings to come, as THE king. It’ll always be the Queen. Here in Ottawa, Canada, the news of Queen Elizabeth II's passing came at 1:30PM local time. I had my TV tuned all morning to BBC World News, as it seemed that something drastic was going to happen. Still, I was really shocked to see the news of Her Majesty's death. The end of an era.
“Where were you when you heard the news?” I’d just gotten home from work and was watching the news as the announcement was made. I was alone in the house. Really could’ve done with a hug tbh.

English born, Australian raised, and I have spent hours crying at the whole 2 weeks of ceremonies. We shall never see another like her. Thank you for your life of service.
Come on mate you have never met her
🤣🤣🤣 you don’t even know her
Me and Woody.EXE immediately became king and Queen of Wales; we started our duties straight away. At least we got to grieve
Get a gripppppo
The lesson from her passing for me is that I cannot take anything for granted.
I thought I would be able to enjoy several more warm and thoughtful Christmas messages of hers.
For me, having lived in Fiji, she was more familiar to me as the Queen of Fiji. May she rest in peace and the God save the King.
3 weeks on it still gives me goosebumps
And Me
Me too. She’s irreplaceable.
You need a life.
@@dannygriffiths7952 mate you didn't even know her?.....wise up

As a Canadian, HRM Elizabeth II was our Head of State and our Queen. She Served the Commonwealth with grace, dignity and she kept her promise to serve til her last breath.
I had a tear in my eye watching the original broadcast, but this made me cry more seeing other people cry and know that she meant as much to them as she did to me. God Save The King.
Thank you! 😊
They are told to be upset
I too, here in Australia shed a tear, May she now be resting peacefully with her ‘rock’ Prince Phillip

My Nan who is now 85 was in shock she remembers King George’s funeral it feels so broken it’s barely been a year since Prince Phillips passing I’m glad she passed away peacefully
Yeah And Me
My Nanny is 72 now and she joined me, my 2009 Woody, Mummy and Woody.EXE for the funeral on September 19th. She was moved to tears as Woody.EXE paid his very moving tribute to the Queen. What a great start to Woody.EXE’s reign
The speech during covid from our late gracious Queen Elizabeth was just what the nation needed R I P loyal HRH Queen Elizabeth and thank you for your life time of service 🌸
‘We will never see her like again.’
I feel so lucky to have lived to see witnessed her celebration of 70 years reigning on the throne. Watching so many people cry and come together to mourn her, and watching the tributes for her funeral made me so proud to be British.
She was the ultimate feminist. Feminine but strong. No man could compare.
Exactly

As an American, I cried when I heard the the Queen had died.
Yeah And Me
I am English and in America at the time the Queen passed away , some of my relatives were just as upset as i was when she passed away .
I’m not particularly a royalist but people love her for how seriously she took her role. She earned that title of queen.
Well no she didnt earn it, she inherited it, thats royalty for you eh ;)
Literally didn’t earn it 😂
I was working away from home when the news broke. I went back to my hotel room made a cup of Yorkshire Tea put the news on and broke down. My grandparents loved the Queen and that love passed down to me. I am honoured to be able to say she’s the best Boss I’ll ever have.
Thank you! 😊
Still can’t believe she’s gone, i knew at some point she was going to go in the future but just a sudden shocked that she died last Thursday afternoon god bless rest her soul and May age happily be with her husband Prince Philip again 😢❤️ xxx
Yeah I Hope So
Agreed. I'm grateful that we had her as Queen for so long, but still gutted by the news. I think I expected her to be around forever and I suppose it reminds me we all have to go at some point. R.I.P. Our Majestt
@@matthieus2 well said mate!! OMG
Respect from the states. RIP Your Majesty.
Yeah
I'm an American but she was my Queen as well rest in peace Your Majesty.
British and Norwegians are Families.
My Dad died 2 weeks before The Queen, and her passing made a difficult time for me even more difficult.
OMG
So very sorry for you, the queen's death must have made it even more difficult, God bless💕
The Queen's death was a tremendous shock and upset, even to me and I'm a supporter of an independent Scottish republic. That shows how much of a presence she was.
Yeah
😢
I am also a supporter of a Independent Scottish Republic but even I had a tear because she had been there for my whole life
Very few things in life move so many people to the same powerful emotions.
What a moment of history to witness, and to think we’d all accepted she’d live forever.
I will never forget September 8, 2022 😢💔

Wow, I’m also so loved by everyone of Wales and I was 15 at the time. I’m nearly 21 now and still remind loved after Queen Elizabeth died; I came out the house with Mummy, my sister, my 2009 Woody and Woody.EXE. We all were greeted by mourners and I overheard them say “her and Woody.EXE will be great monarchs I know it” and this will happen
9 months later into our reign and I’ll never forget the moment Woody.EXE became Wales’s monarch and his promise he made still hurts me today. Woody.EXE will be a great monarch and I’m honoured to be his Queen consort
@@jokerz7936 Roosevelt didn't help the US out of the Great Depression, he was making it worse. What got the US out of the depression was building arms for the UK and rebuilding the US armed forces.

I feel I took the queen for granted as she was just always queen in my lifetime…it’s only now looking back I see how much she dedicated her life to serve her country
Thank you! 😊
She has courage and her reign along with her decades. RIP
Yeah
I'm not any monarchist or anything of the sort, rather I'm an aussie, yet I still can't help but tear up a bit even now six months after.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you! 😊
Even as an American I cried too. It’s still shocking that she’s actually gone. Her grandchildren standing guard at her coffin got me. But when I saw her hands in the last picture I had a feeling she would pass soon. But when I look at Charlotte I see a young Elizabeth.
yessss
I said the same when I saw those last pictures. As a paramedic, I could recognize the signs of a failing circulatory system.
Get a grip
As Marcus said 'she was still a mum, grandmother and great grandmother". that is where I immediately went. Also there are 4 kids out there that lost Mum and Dad in under 1 year, 5 months. Under 17 months. That would be hard.
Marcus was spot on. The course of the then future queen's life took a dramatic turn when she was just ten years old. If Edward VIII hadn't abdicated the Queen would have probably lived a life of privilege and obscurity but events beyond her control shaped the course of her life.
4 middle aged or elderly kids?
@@tristanthomas5006true they are not kids, they will be fully aware of their grief and have suffered more for it, in silence, stoic as they internalise their pain, not too healthy really
So upset here in Australia May she rip now with her husband Condolences to the RF and the British people
I didn’t think I’d be too upset. I obviously was sad cuz she’s the Queen but we didn’t personally know her and I don’t think about her daily but if I take a quiet moment, I feel sad. For as long as I live I’ll never truly see the kings to come, as THE king. It’ll always be the Queen. A few weeks ago I saw a flag down somewhere and said ‘The queen’s not home’ then I friend reminded me. She was so sweet even though we didn’t know her. She’ll always be in our hearts.

Actually 'Nutty' we do have a role model. H.M. King Charles III is pretty damned good at the job. Prince's Trust has helped THOUSANDS get into their dream careers and continued to support youngsters to get on a path of hope. He knows of the shoes he needs to fill and to be honest, has been doing so for decades. This bears no difference for CENTURIES. Charles IS a good man.
