  • Traditional rainforest healer and Kogi Shaman Mamo Pedro Juan and Kogi political leader Santos Sana comes to speak at Google from Colombia. The Kogi Indians of northern Colombia have been called "The Dalai Lamas of South America" because of their wisdom, their pacifism and their unequalled respect for tradition. Living on or near the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, their traditional lands range from the snow fields atop the mountain down to the coral reefs of the Caribbean, meaning that they are one of the few indigenous cultures in the Americas managing highland, lowland and marine ecosystems. In fact, it was the Kogi who, in calling attention to melting glaciers over twenty years ago, served as some of the first harbingers of climate change.
Now the Kogis have joined forces with the Amazon Conservation Team (ACT) and the government of Colombia to protect and manage their sacred sites, protect their culture and resist climate change. This talk, presented by the Kogi's extremely eloquent political leader and one of their Paramount Shamans, will share details of their inspiring progress to date, their uniquely intertwined vision of conservation and spirituality, and the special significance of the lands and reefs that they seek to permanently protect.
    Additional information at Mongabay: news.mongabay.com/2013/0528-co...
The photos of the Kogi were taken by Richie Rey, Liliana Madrigal, and Brian Hettler.

Thank you, i feel their messages, i'm doing my best to preserve a piece of land here in Romania, at the beginning of the project i used to speak a lot about conservation to friends in the city and to the villagers , then realized how naive i was, people are not truly interested and it takes plenty of energy and time to convey messages about preservation and reforestation while i have a lot of work. My experience taught the right people will come at the right time and collaborate with us, i mainly need to do what i feel ,and be pacient..Sometimes i think we went too far with destruction and only a miracle could save humanity, because the elites have done a very good job in brainwashing masses. I will carry on with aquiring new lands for plantings, and praying a lot..

I think solidarity is the way to go. I'm not against open borders, just digitally, not physically (except for exceptions). If people can learn to survive where they're located, then they won't need to migrate and can build the world around them to not require help from others. Glad you're helping with that. I'm not saying never move either, just good to avoid it if necessary except where one's able to go - out of respect for others. Then building together can work better that way - from less mixing except with the mind. Then it avoidd ruining the environment, spresding disease, and losing ancient cultures

What a great honor to be able to attend such an important meeting. We need to listen to what indigenous cultures are saying. I could only imagine what it is like for them to sit on the top of a mountain, looking down, and seeing what other human beings are doing to the Earth and to each other. I would imagine that from their perspective, things have become so bad to the point that they would come down to confront what has been happening to the planet we share and to human awareness.

+Rosemarie Montague so true. I'm so happy we are pulling together. I have always agreed to them, subconsciously... never understanding why people do what they do... devil's grip on humanity is incredibly sole reason as to why it is the way that it is. love the devil, love all enemies, it is the path of salvation. love every second... no matter what it is. love all things. no reason to justify it. don't seek a reason. just do. love is truly the highest vibration we are able to emanate. super important. i love you so much. I am so loving this :)

He just made me realize something very important abt the separation of Church and state!! wow. A shamanic leader and a political leader. Now that means the shamanic leader does have a say. in things. Yet, I find that today in the so called societies of separation of church and state, there is a lack of shamans so to speak , guiding the people. So this is a big difference. So i beg to insert that in the comparison he made.

Deeply moved by the kogi people. If anyone wants to help.... it starts at home, in your home and heart. Slow down and sit on the earth. Listen. You will begin to hear. .. i believe that civilized living is not realistic in any way. It is actually a very unwell way to live. Who's heart and soul is actually truly happy in this younger brrother civilization? Then really what have you got to lose to gently let go of this way of living? What little thing will you change today to move into creating an empowering future for all of life? You could change one thing a week. All it takes is some quiet contemplation to see what you can change. We have creative minds so lets find the highest empowering solutions! Empower yourself today. Today will you stop buying products in plastic-find an alternative ? Start to simplify your life so you realize how little you really need? Do you really need all these products? Perhsps you may see that living a simpler, humbler, more outdoor life requires less money. So perhaps no need to work and run around like crazy. Or become respectful to all life. Or be gentle and loving to yourself? Or start to clean your mind from all the brainwashing and limiting beliefs we have been fed since birth? Let go and create a more beautiful world one breath at a time. One step at a time. .... power lies in us folk not the so called governments and companies etc. There are much more of us. And we are the ones giving them the power by supporting them ( buying their products and saying yes to their ways). Why dont we use our human intelligence to empower every being we cross paths with for the highest good? Only the most beautiful shall be the result!!! And so it is!!!!! Listen to your soul and follow it with courage

Well said, I am starting get really enraged every time I hear "Climate Change". Also, remember it used to be called "Global Warming" before after ten years later it was clearly shown that the earth had cooled over the last decade. Menwhile, massive problems with pollution continue while these hoaxsters talk about CO2 and carbon-taxes.

@@montetown5741 the reason it's 'climste change' is because it's more than global warming. It's global cooling too in some areas due to the ocean conveyor belt going away. Then it causes other issues. I agree that thinking about the outcome and not source is not going to help. I'm with you on calling it global warming and will call it that again from now on.

Thank you very much for sharing , I do feel due to all the translation from Kogi to Spanish , then to English ,
that one loses lot of the underlying essence of meaning of what was said by the Kogi Mamo this will always be a challenge when the expressive essence" of native languages are reflected through the essence expression structure of our own language ,I feel many of the Kogi consepts get lost due to cultural "Ethos" viewpoint struggles, "How we see, or fail to see" relations to our world, the Kogi have spoken upon the importance of teaching the younger brother there science, but our mechanistic world view, puts many barriers in the path to trying to building bridges to this viewpoint sharing, It comes down to how our peoples "ethos" relates or connects, to our intimate Relations to the world around us, to us things are "separate" the Kogi "See" a layer of interconnection and relations from there peoples deep memory's and ancient "ethos" the structure of our science can not "yet" see. but I feel it is true our technology and there teachings can be combined with a lot of meaning so that our peoples can see first hand what the Kogi are relating to when they explain there relationship with the links that enable balance in the natural world.

I have an natural energetic spiritual multidimensional bond with the Kogi people and I realized that during the first time I saw an video with and about the live and history of the Kogi people because I have seen through my spirit hearth eye the connection the Kogi have with the way they see the warning signs of mother earth in the bubbles in the sea , the deformed sea shells they use to activate the phyto nutrients in the coca leaves they chew , the drying out of the high altitude vegetation due to lack of rain on the mountains of the Sierra Nevada De Santa Marta caused by shifting wind patterns and the lack of precipitation that is caused by the shift in the winds and the changed surface tension of the water in the sea due to chemical pollution and changed acidity , the changed behavior of the animals in the forest jungle and of course the grave robbing by these looters that desecrate the graves of these very important shamans that have been buried there on very specific places to balance the energies of mother earth , I saw through my multidimensional spiritual energetic hearth eye that every thing that exist in this three dimensional physical existence on this planet and beyond is connected by the multidimensional energetic spiritual etheric golden energy threads and later I found this video where the Kogi are placing an gold thread along the Caribbean coast of north Colombia and I knew that I saw what they see ! , see the video : ruclips.net/video/ftFbCwJfs1I/видео.html , but what an annoying female translator , she doubted the Kogi expression "reading of the bubbles" with an very ugly smirk and she fondled the microphone so much with her left hand that was not holding the microphone and creating very annoying scronge rumble sounds in the recording , never ever use this female translator with no microphone handling technique ever again !!!!!!!!! Listen to the message of the Kogi because it is one of the most important one in the world and prevent it from being abused by the globalist satanists for the green house hoax carbon footprint my ass !!! , it is the changing of the acidity and the changing of the surface tension of the sea water and the diyng of the phytoplankton that generate oxygen what will cause the most damage because it will damage the cloud formation so river water pollution and sea water pollution has to stop , gaseous discharge in the atmosphere is dissipated by the atmosphere in to the universe , the whole atmosphere has an osmosis exchange with the space in the universe , geoengineering by polluting the atmosphere with the so called chemtrails spraying is also an very bad practice done now for more than over twenty years on an global scale and that poisonous spray is raining out of the artificially made clouds and runs of in to rivers and polluting the sea water : www.geoengineeringwatch.org/

I love how they say, ¨there are no Aztecs today, there are no Incas¨!! lol. Wow. amazing. It´s like because we don´t act and look as we did 500 years ago, we are no longer they? I beg to differ my dear gentleman, whom I think you are and I am excited to hear what you have to say. Nonetheless, it is of utmost importance for those belonging to former British colonies to understand miscegenation. Intermixing doesn´t mean a race dissappears. On the contrary, It is more like adaptation. And it is possible to be both cultures. I know it is hard to understand because the British never ever mix wherever they go and ccolonize on Earth. It´s like being bi-lingual. Today, Mexicans are becoming more and more in touch with the Aztecs aspect of who they are, so much as to realize they were not even called that! It was Mexica! And we are re-becoming this nativeness every day in every way because the intermarriage politics of the Spanish has cleared the way for this path of self realization today. As people of two cultures. So yes, we are just beginning to reclaim our aztec, zapotec, mayan roots, but it is a path for a long time . So don´t confuse that they no longer exist, the symbol from that Aztec Civilization is on our current Mexican flag!! I think it is just hard for you to understand natives evolving, since the politics of the British who founded the USA and Canada made for them to stay in the past, to have no mobility or to be seen in the world. They did not want to share the stage or the earth with them. So sad the state of the US and CAnada in their (lackof )understanidng of America and what it really is. Ignoranlty saying, Ämerica, America¨when they didn´t even discover America, the spanish did. Adn they took the WHOLE thing in. That is how latinamerica perceives it. A continous evolution. The US and Canadian models Will die out because they did not evolve together with the other people of the land. Instead , selfishly only letting themselves progress and keeping them in a lack of progress by taking away their integration into society. So sad. Viva Mexico! Viva America libre!!
