It's actually a little longer than that. Mueller found evidence of this crime and couldn't prosecute 45 at the time because he was in office. The case was basically frozen until the time when he was no longer president. That's the reason that this case could move forward now without any statute of limitations being tacked to it.

I think an especially crushing blow for Donald Trump would be jail time for contempt of court. But, this will do for now.
Just think...Trump violated pre release orders/bonds for 2 cases. Even if he only gets fines Chutkan and/or Willis can jail him if they wish to do so. Glenn covered that on his channel.
If this judge puts him in jail, he will appeal,stop the proceedings and probably require a new jury. But, judge chutkan told him if he broke a law, he goes to jail. Once he's found in contempt b/c of gag order, she can jail him and NY trial goes on.

I cannot for the life of me understanding why Trump has remained free. ANYone else would have been bum-rushed to jail. The worst thing about this is that it looks a lot like the law doesn't apply to the rich as it does to the poor. The sheer DAMAGE he has done to the US is unimaginable.

That includes gov't employees, law enforcement, the media, and the great unwashed public.
