Hi.
As a human myself this race of Middle-Earth has always appealed to me

Can't wait for you to cover the Numenorean Army of the Second Age
The Easterlings didn't use elephants. That was the Haradrim who have no ties to the Easterlings. The Haradrim are also known as Southerons.
This may be a question of definition. In the Second and Third Age they were known as Haradrim, but I doubt the name was ever used in the First Age. In that days when (quite elven-centristic) Beleriand was see as the realm that matters, of course all men east of the Blue Mountains (and even more those beyond the Misty Mountains) were "Easterlings".
@@marcbartuschka6372 still no elephants
A series on the Mass Effect Universe would be legit!
I hear you
I concur!

They houses of hador, beor, haleth and legendary feats is my favorite part of book silmarilion.
Man, I really do love your guys' Tolkien videos.. you bring them all to life and in such a concise way, that it makes it a bit easier to follow the enormous amount of characters and locations that Tolkien invented. You're the best at this style of presentation and it works greatly for Tolkien.
*_"An Aliance once existed between Elves and Men. Long ago we fought and died together. We come to honor that allegiance [...] We are proud to fight alongside men once more"_* -Haldir, the Elf, LOTRS movies
This alliance referenced by Haldir was the Alliance between King Elendil of Arnor and King Gil Galad of Lindon against Sauron in the end of Second Age which ended in the defeat of Sauron,in which major men powers of Arnor and Gondor(governed by Elendil sons Isildur and Anarion)with all Elvish kingdoms(Lindon,Rivendell,Lothlórien and Greenwood/Mirkwood realm)ganged up on Sauron which had done a premature assault on Minas Ithil(Morgul).
It had nothing to do with First Age and Haldir didn't fight in Helm Deep in the books,
1@@kermitthethinker1465 *I quoted "LOTRS MOVIES", never said Books* .
I am verse on the lore, thanks, have read the all books, including Hobbit and Silmarilion. Haldir doesnt exist in the books, first of all. He is not refering to the second age necessarily. Haldir could be referring to the friendship or aliance between the Mithrim and the first Edain, the friendship between the house of Beör and the elves of Finrod. It could be to the alliance between men and elves from the first age that fought against Morgoth rather than anything between the Numenoreans and the elves.
I like that quote because its an indirect reference to the firsr age friendship between the Edain and Elves of the First Age.
@@Alejojojo6 Haldir does exist in the books,he is the one who receives the company of the ring when they arrive in Lothlorien was Haldir and his brothers two brothers(one was called Orophin and I am forgetting the others name).
10:03 "Secretly sent an orc"
What, a single one?
He was a Terminator Orc, so pretty badass
House of Beör was granted Ladros to live which Finrod originally settled before founding Nargothrond, they didn't settled the whole of Dorthonion which was ruled by Galadriel brothers(Aegnor and Angrod).
Also the 1st age Easterlings were not same as second and third age Easterlings.
Yes, but some may have been fled back into the east when the War against valinor destroyed Beleriand and joined the people there.
@@marcbartuschka6372 they fled back to Eriador and became the Dunlendings and the men of Eredwaith.
@@FoD163 it could be the Hillmen of Rhudaur,if I remember correctly the Dunlendings are associated with the House of Haleth not Bëor
I love these videos. Really shows just how much one has to consider when it comes worldbuilding. They're a great lesson and example rolled into one.
Do you have any plans for Dune universe. With your animations it could be great one.
Seconded!
Considering Dune is hugely defining to the genre of science-fiction, as Lord of the Rings is to fantasy, I'd say a lore series of Dune is overdue. Especially with the recent film adaptions.
Have very much enjoyed this series of armies detailing what they have. Terrific stuff !
considering your LOTR videos are awesome may I suggest analyzing the battle of Beruna from the Narnia series?
Amazing work man. It is clear that you studied Tolkien's world intensely, and you speak with knowledge. I always find your videos entertaining and really informative. Keep going! ⚔️
Nice work dude thanks
Thank you for this upload!!! Your work is phenomenal
This is another well-made and excellent video. It is definitely going into my favorites playlist.

I really like this kind of content! :)
Humble request for Malazan Marines.
Just Malazan lore in general.
Could you do a video on the Helldivers universe?
excellent video.
Wonderful !!!🤗🤗🤗🤗
Up until I started watching the W&W vids I always took the Middle Earth men for granted and didnt even bother or care for them. Maybe it was because this world already had fantastical elves and dwarves and humans were, well, humans.
But deep diving further through these vids its fascinating to learn of the diffrentiations like the houses of the Edain eventually becoming the Numenoreans, the formation of the Easterlings, and the foundation of the Rohirrim.
Hey guys. Just reminding you that a look into the lore of the Legacy of Kain series would be awesome.
I would love to see a Documentary on what Uniform and Armour was worn by the men of Gondor in the War of the Ring.
Nice
I'd be interested to know why/how/the discussions around the Eldar giving up large swaths of their land to these short lived hewmons- like, seriously, they were just cool with it?
I guess it was mostly because the Eldar simply had no the people to use the land for themself. Their number were limited and I doubt it grew much in that years, so giving away land they only claim but could not really populate was little problem. Like the Gondorians of later ages gave what would become Rohan away (ignoring the people who already lived there).
It wasn't that big of a area, they gave Ladros,Dorlomin,Lothlann and Brethil,it a very small area.
assassin's Creed lore please next
And continue the what ifs series
Love your videos! Anymore Conan lore in the works?
Is there going to be anymore Wheel of Time content being released soon?
Not soon, but yes
Try middle earth Far East place and blue wizards
I wish you do Cyberpunk Corporate and Unification Wars.
Before the Third House of the Edain was called the House of Hador, they were called the Folk of Marach. When they entered Beleriand under Hador's great great-grandfather Marach.
I wish Wizards & Warriors further luck in future videos, and hope they'll one day cover the fantasy and Sci-Fi worlds of anime/manga.
Emeldir, wife of Barahir led their people to Brethil.

Where are the videos of first law series.
I am waiting for them.😢
I think it would be a good idea to cover dune. It is "trending" now and even most of the book readers do not read the lore encyclopedias
quick question: why did you guyst abandon the Wheel of Time lore series?
Will you be continuing the star wars lore series?
Yep!
@@WizardsandWarriors amazing can't wait, keep up the great videos.

When is First Law part 3 coming?
Not sure
My one and only gripe with this video is incredibly nitpicky and I think its a great video, I enjoyed it thoroughly. That being said, my only gripe is with some pronounciations. Bay-or not Bee-or and some other ones, but hey if thats the only complaint i have this is an excellent video

Not sure if Thingol was Noldor? Dont think he ever went west
Thingol is a Sindar elf, but he was the only one of them to ever see the light of the two trees, since he was one of the original ambassadors of the elves to the undying lands before the elves migrated
2nd age men were OP.
Yes,but first age men did amazing things without been super human due to Valar blessings to Numenor.
English subtitle please?
done!
Should be noted men of the 1st age were way more powerful and longer live than their descendants in later Ages.
Numenorians are the closest thing to the 1st age men in the 2nd age.
By the 3rd age, only limited bloodlines still have the might of the 1st age among men.
The Men of the First Age lived the same lifespan as ordinary Men. Bëor the Old died at the age 95, which was considered old at the time.
It was their descendants, the Númenoreans, that Men lived lifespans at 3 or 4 centuries.

“swarthy” 🥴
The Age of Men is over.
How repetitive is tolkien.
Beor house = Noldor
Halth house = Nandor
Hador house = Vanyar
Easterlings = Dwarves
Em... no the Easterlings and the Dwarves have nothing in common and the Vanyar are few, the Hador are a lot.
Easterlings = avars?
@@Alejojojo6 esterlings are of short heigth, stocky, they have most trade with dwarves, and half of them served the dark side.
Both vanyar and hador are blonde, tall, strong and figth as falanx.
@@aurelian2668 why just avars?
People and cultures *influence* each other. These men have little traditions or knowledge of their own. It's a lot like how the Germanic bands got influenced by Rome for hundreds of years, took up their arms and ways, and fought for them for land and prosperity. It's called 'Noldorization' in a good essay about it.
Tolkien knows this and drew this parallel. While nowadays we know the Germans had their own strong culture and traditions, Tolkien was influenced a lot by Roman annals of the migration age, and it shows.
As Andreth says to Finrod-
“We may be “Children of Eru”, as ye say in your lore; but we are children
to you also: to be loved a little maybe, and yet creatures of less worth, upon
whom ye may look down from the height of your power and your knowledge,
with a smile, or with pity, or with a shaking of heads”
You are mixing Second Age narratives with First Age narratives, and Eriador and further east with Beleriand (e.g. "the Alliance of Dwarves and Men in the North came early in the Second Age", Dwarves and Men).
Where are you getting the Easterlings as using Elephants?
I understood this as a preview to later ages - the easterlings and southlanders of the second/third age.
@@AB-gk8cs The title says "in the First Age". and the video was attributing Second Age actions in Eriador or further east as happening in the First Age in Beleriand.
@tar-elenionmaranwe1275 its not that complicated. He spends m9st 9f the video talking about the first age and previews the second age near the end.
@@mEmory______ You are right it is not that difficult. And he is attributing Second Age actions in Eriador to the First Age in Beleriand before 5 minutes is complete, such as the Alliance of Dwarves and Men, which as I quoted from Tolkien, is a Secomd Age thing....
@tar-elenionmaranwe1275 idk I don't see the issue, just because there was an alliance in the second age, doesn't mean there wasn't one in the first.
In Middle Earth, humans can stand their own against supernaturally strong dwarfs and agile elves because of plot.
Listen a 2 minute ad read might not seem like much, but whwn tbe video is onky 20 minutes long, that is now 10% of the content is just an ad. Any other medium and you would be chastised.
Mostly wrong...
