      Though in Tolkien's later writings, the Blue Wizards came in the Second Age year 1600, roughly the same time as Glorfindel and just after Sauron forged the One Ring. Their task was to cause disruption against Sauron in the East and South, though nothing is heard or seen of them again.

    Additional info, Durins Folk actually intended to send an army to aid Celembrimbor, they were joined by an army from Lothlorien led by their lord at the time Amroth. (For ease I will refer to this allied army as the Combined Host)
    Before they did so however they first prepared the defenses of Khazad-Dum. Saurons army marched far quicker then Durin and Gil-Galad had anticipated and by the time the Combined Host arrived Eregion had already fallen and Elrond was evacuating survivors.
    Arrived too late they resolved to at least save the survivors and attacked the army of orcs that were chasing Elronds host.
    There are two accounts of what happened, in one Sauron was forced to cut his chase in order to face this new threat and routed them. In the other the Combined Host were able to catch up to the orc army chasing Elronds Host (due to their superior knowledge of the land) attacking them in the rear and completely routing them.
    Regardless of which account is true their action caused Sauron to lose the trail of Elronds Host.
    Enraged Sauron ordered his army to chase the remains of the Combined Host, who were able to retreat back to Khazad-Dum and so Sauron tried besieging Khazad-Dum which failed in the end.
    Durins Folk still suffered however as later Gundabad would be taken by Orcs, Ered Mithrin was raided, contact was lost for some time with their kin in the Iron Hills and the Northmen who they were allied with (the ancestors of the Men of Dale) greatly diminished due to the wars fought in their lands.

    • @richardthomas9497
      @richardthomas9497 Год назад +2

      @@nvmtt I recall that Aldarion and Erendis' reconcilable differences over the sea and his voyages, caused them to separate. Thus Ancalimë was their only child and daughter.
      Though Ancalimë was beautiful, she was also a very bitter woman, instilled into her by her mother. This would also cause strife in her own marriage with Hallacar. She would even forbid her own serving-women to marry, though her husband would secretly arrange their weddings causing Ancalimë to become more bitter and hateful to Hallacar.
      After becoming the 1st Ruling Queen of Númenor, Tar-Ancalimë would reign for 205 years (the second longest after Elros Tar-Minyatur). Unfortunately, Ancalimë would abandon her father's policies; sending no aid to Gil-galad. Only after her son Tar-Anárion took the sceptre, were Tar-Aldarion's policies reinstated.

    • @richardthomas9497
      @richardthomas9497 Год назад +3

      @@Enerdhil I don't where get the idea of Aldarion "commited adultery with his lust for sea?" Like the sea is a physical mistress in the way of Erendis?
      Besides, Aldarion went on his first voyage 46 years before Erendis was born, 75 before they first met, 113 before their engagement and 145 before their marriage.
      From Aldarion's first voyage to before his marriage with Erendis, he'd already been on 6 voyages over a period of 38 years.
      I don't think its fair to blame Aldarion for doing something was passionate about. At first, Erendis was supportive of Aldarion when she performed the rite of "The Green Bough of Return" a symbol of good fortune, that was traditional done by a close female relative of the Captain. Even more profound, Aldarion's father Tar-Meneldur forbade any of his family to bring the bough to the ship. When Erendis did this in their stead, it was the day Aldarion fell in love with her.
      Later, Erendis would refuse to either set the bough or send one for Hirilondë, another great ship.
      As for marriage, Aldarion was heir apparent, was expected to marry and carry on the family line.

    Although we consider the corruption of the númenorians to be Sauron’s doing it is an often overlooked fact that the tale of Alderion and Erendis ultimately began the decline as Ancalime cared little for middle earth and therefore began the decline in elf-numenorian relationships. It would this culminate in Sauron’s arrival to Númenor

    • @richardthomas9497
      @richardthomas9497 11 месяцев назад +4

      Tar-Ancalimë's son Tar-Anárion would restablish his grandfather's policies, and reconnect with the Elves. Leading to the assistance in the War of the Elves and Sauron, during the reign of Tar-Telperiën (the second ruling Queen).
      It was during the Númenorean's peak, where they were so powerful that Sauron's forces cowered before them, the origins of their downfall began to fester. While living long lives beyond the men of Middle-Earth, the Númenoreans began to grow jealous of the Elves' immortality and became more grasping of life, which ironically shortened their lifespan. This was what Sauron capitalised on, after he surrendered and was taken to Númenor.

    • @wildfire9280
      @wildfire9280 11 месяцев назад +2

      It’s more like the time of Aldarion and Erendis set the stage for the decline to set in, but did not itself start the process.
      Disregarding that, Sauron’s supposed corruption merely amounted to an aesthetic change that ripped off the veneer of “good, Eru-fearing Edain” for all but a select few. Naturally, Sauron did the only sensible thing with them and encouraged their countrymen to give em the ole Jimmy Raven.

    • @durshurrikun150

    I can imagine the PTSD the noldors felt when they saw another massive army of orcs. Although it's surprising that Sauron managed to go from Mordor to Eriador and yet the noldor still failed to prepare.
    the sindar really did hold a grudge against the noldor considering that none of them came to their aid. The woodland realm just minded their own business while all this fiasco was happening.
    maybe the sindar were not given a ring of power. that's why they pissed off and never sent aid.

    • @wildfire9280
      @wildfire9280 11 месяцев назад +3

      If I remember correctly, it was said the Sindar were occupied with defending themselves. This war was partially a victory for Sauron in that, outside of Eriador, he now threatened all remaining free peoples who had previously been out of Mordor’s reach. That development set the stage for the Northmen who would later become the Dalish, Lake-men, and Rohirrim to ally themselves so closely with the Longbeard dwarves.

    Many in Númenor saw Aldarion's voyages as frivolous pursuits, that distracted his responsibilities to the Númenor and his already troubled marriage with Erendis. Then, when Aldarion's father, Tar-Meneldur received the letter from Gil-galad stating how his son's voyages gave hope to Elves in Middle-Earth against the rise of Sauron. Soon afterwards, Tar-Meneldur would surrender the sceptre to Aldarion, making him the next King of Númenor.

      @marcbartuschka6372 Год назад +4

      Here I disagree. The Numenorians in the Show are so far not as bad as the Numorians had become even before Sauron set foot on their shores. While for a time they were friendly towards the people of Middle Earth, there was always a racist undertone in that relationship (with the terms high and middle or lower men), and in later years they demanded tribute and service and were not friendly teachers. Ar Pharazon was just the end of trend that has started long before him.

    • @AB-gk8cs

      Yea, but the Ring of Powers (in an over-ambitious attempt to condense hundred and even thousands of years into a tv-serie) show more the late Numenorean, who were - while still a force to be reckoned - probably not of the same calibre? And to portrait the Numenorean as haughty, arrogant and sometimes even racist is not so fare from the books - given how they (and later also many of the Gondorians) did look down on "lesser men". I agree that it is a pity that they did not adapt the "real" story - but to be honest - I have my daubt that this would have been possible. Certainly not as an life action series. If they would have gone animated, perhaps...

      @@anni.68 galadriel was supposed to be in her forest kingdom ruling with her husband. she shouldnt even be present to talk with celebrimbor and sauron in the forges. moreover, the show says that her husband had been lost and never found. so basically, how would he rule lothlorien with her during that period? again, we just saw sauron remake mordor with some sort of volcano nuke while this says he took control of mordor before ever meeting celebrimbor as anatar. and then they removed his name as Anatar entirely.

      @@anni.68 I havent read the books, so i dont actually know when galadriel leaves eregion for Moria. I just saw that in the video he mentioned the event way before Anatar came in there. Even then, you say she left without celeborn. In the show, we see celeborn has been missing since the start of the show. that doesnt add up either. Do the books mention when he was found?
      Mordor was there, but we see nothing of the "control" of sauron as the video speaks off. In fact, until the volcano exploded, the numenorean expedition had the mordor army on the run. and mount doom was supposed to be the work of melkor, not some random dark elf general.

This should let us know that Eru had always intended rulership of Numenor to be handed down to the first born child. Maybe this is where evil started to creep into Numenorian society.🤔

      It wasn't and won't be Tolkienian.
      Galadriel may have been a warrior type when she was young and living in Eldamar and maybe when she left her motivation was to be the ruler of her own Elven Realm. She fought off the Fëanorians from her cousins at Alqualondë. She likely fought in several of the skirmishes and wars in the very early Years of the Sun. What McCay and Payne did was they took early Galadriel, pre-Celeborn, and transposed her into the Second Age, so they could have a strong female character, single with no kids, who could fall in love with Halbrand. This is total blasphemy to those of us who honor Tolkien and his Legendarium.

    This is the part of middle earth lore that the Amazon show "Rings of power" is making a fan fiction of.
    Honestly tho, if they didn't have the liscensing or W/E you need to be allowed too make a proper show, why didn't Amazon make a show that takes place in Harad and and Rhun, or even the Dark lands, there is very little information lore vise about those places, they could have even made a story around the blue wizards and their journey.

      @resileaf9501 not completely, but when it was, it was obvious.
      For instance, on a different WoT video they mention Moiraine, a member of the Blue Ajah. However, after using her name once, the narrator proceeds to call her by "blue ajah". Not "the blue ajah member does this" but literally "Then, Blue Ajah did this..". However, she gets mentioned by name once more before it becomes Blue Ajah again
      2. The Dark One was named the "Black One" then called Dark One again.
      3. Multiple easily pronounced words are mispronounced, sometimes in different ways each times it was said.
      It was actually eye opening watching it. Also, the pictures used in the videos were AI generated
