Functional incontinence is when an individual has trouble physically getting to the bathroom… due to things like arthritis or Parkinson’s disease. Overflow incontinence happens when urine leaks out due to the bladder being too full. A common cause of this is BPH.
My urologist said I have “incontinence” because I _retain._ I have IBS-C and we found out the hard way that because the same muscle(s) that control #2 control #1, I retain #1 when I’m constipated. It sounds odd to me that she’s diagnosed me with “incontinence” when that word is supposed to mean “involuntary leakage” and I can’t get my bladder _to_ leak depending on what I consume. Is she correct???
I was told kelog done can cause more damage until Dr can see why it leaks when standing up bent over it leaks we my a it is it? Wheelchair user. We sit and very seldom stand. What is it
Hello, i reach the bathroom in time but has im trying to sit down comfortably on the toilet , the urinating happens automatically. I have to change my clothes , Is this urge incontinence? OAB ? Thanks 😊
As one who suffers from sudden urges to urinate and on occasions not able to quite make it to the toilet and get seated in time, I believe this is urge incontinence and an OAB problem. I'm a little too embarrassed to consult a medic at the moment, but have watched videos on the subject and am trying to retrain my bladder; showing some signs of improvement. I find, as a grown woman, wetting myself like this really humiliating, as I'm sure you do.
