You posted this video right on time brotha! I was about to pull the trigger and buy this for customer cars but now after watching your review that’s gonna be a negative. Great video and thank you.
Thanks brother 🍻 Yeah I hate to give this stuff a bad review - especially when it seems like a lot of other people had good results - but it was just crazy slick on my mats. Glad you found it helpful though.. let me know if you find something else.
Thank you brother.. very much appreciated. Agreed.. right now I'm going back to cleaning without a dressing but still on the lookout for something not slippery.
I use Adams CS3 to maintain my WeatherTech mats. I’ve also used Solution Finish and I think it worked really well to bring some trashed WeatherTechs back to life. Also used Solution Finish on Crown Vic rubberized floors and it worked really well. No slickness out of it.
@@JZ_Cars thanks man.. I use the DJI Mic (version 1) and then do some post processing in Davinci Resolve. It's pretty good right out of the gate but I'm kind of an audio nerd and like to mess with EQ, comp, etc.
@@AlwaysSummerGarage yes plastic. Ie: exterior trim, wheel wells, tires. Interior: plastics, floor matts. GUF is a great product. Results are always phenomenal. I just personally like D3 renew more. It lasts longer. To clean any surface after D3 renew has been applied. You only need a good ph neutral soap. D3 lasts at least 1 year or longer
Yep, a lot of people seem not to but it didn't work out for my mats. Tried different applicators, different product amount, wiping down with a towel, letting them sit overnight and they were slippery either way. Any chance you have weather tech mats?
I had the same experience as Mike. I used it on 2 different sets of floor mats and they came out perfect. Not slippery at all. Not debating your experience...just adding data. I really like Guf.
@@BabyBackManiac nah man I appreciate the input. This is going to turn into a thing where I have to know why it's slippery in some applications but not others. What kind of mats do you have?

Great vid and appreciate your detail in the product! Making these rubber mats look good is definitely hard(er).

Something about those WeatherTech mats.. anyone whose used gummifix on them says they have no issues with slipperiness. I'll give the CS3 a try 👍
@@AlwaysSummerGarage My method is to use CS3 as a drying aid on the mats. Probably sounds weird but it works good for me.
@@JZ_Cars Hey man I'll try anything to get a finished mat without the slickness lol. Appreciate the tip 🍻
@@AlwaysSummerGarageHey fella I’m curious what your mic setup is? Your audio is excellent.

GUF is a great product! Have you ever tried D3 renew? Great products as well, non slip as well.
Well I got a whole bottle of it so I gotta figure out how to make it work on something haha. Have not tried D3 but I'll check it out. Thanks!
@@AlwaysSummerGarage Guf is an outstanding product! Love using it! But D3 renew is less expensive & lasts longer
@@ThisOldDetailingDude do you use GUF on anything besides mats?

Interesting.. thanks. I'll try GUF on some other stuff since I have plenty left.
I used this product on Mercedes Benz rubber mat and they were slippery
Yep, same. Sorry you wasted your money but glad to hear I'm not the only one. I feel like most people love this stuff, but it definitely did not work.
I didn't find them slick at all after using GUF

@@AlwaysSummerGarage Nope. Used of few different pairs of Husky Liners.
