      It should grow healthy, once you find an area very bright were it will receive 1 hour sunshine, and water only when it is really dry

    i'm about to do the same with mine, its got no pup, just a single stem thats weak on the bottom causing the top to tip over, so i've decided after reading and watching videos like yours it to hack it six inches from the soil up and get some root powder, and replant it, then cut the 6' stem in to 2 inches pieces and plant them with the node downwards and pray they all do well. thank you for your video, unlike most, you showed from start to finish while most showed halfway to finished.

    Hello thanks for having me, I am I need of some help PLEASE, I BOUGHT one of these today from Wal-Mart because I felt terrible for the plant. They truly allow so many you die because they have no clue how to take care of them Btw im in BALTIMORE Maryland, anyways I wish I knew how to show you a picture of mine. I pray im able to save it I've had to cut so much AWaY from the plant from being ripped and or dead.
    I know nothing about this plant is this anything like a Philodendron or maybe a succulent? Id love if you could give me a few pointers. I truly thank you very much..

    Hi there do you have an update on this like you said you would? I am wondering how long it took for the babies to root? Also when you potted them into soil? Thanks in advance!!! :)

    • @mariasplants
      @mariasplants  4 года назад +1

      It depends on the temperature of your home, the plant may take to root from 3 to 7 weeks. Once i saw roots i put it in soil and sold the babies, I will make another update soon

    I think this is the plant I have. It's still a bit of a baby and was growing well in a small mason jar but I've noticed the past few days the leaves yellowing at the bottom. I'm sure it's because I've overwatered it, the soil is very moist (I'm still new to houseplants). How do you suggest I save it? I wanted to put it in a pot because the mason jar is small and also doesn't have holes for drainage but with it yellowing and being moist I'm worried that doing that now might make matter worse? I'd love some tips! Thank you!

    • @mariasplants
      @mariasplants  6 лет назад +3

      Change the pot and put new soil and put 2 cups of water and wait till the soil looks totally dry to water it back, Just don't over water and you will be fine and put it in front of a sunny window, it should at least get 2 hours sun daily

    • @TeeSoFree
      @TeeSoFree 6 лет назад

      Thank you so much for the tips! I've put it in a new pot with new soil and cut off the 3 yellow leaves and it's standing up nicely. Hopefully this is a good sign.

      Mine is from one that the roots got rotten, But i cut it and put it in water to root, Once roots showed i put it in soil, and that is the same plant i have. Maybe were i lived in the past it was not happy, and at my new location it looks happy. I will be uploading an update soon on the dumb cane

    I had one that grew 6 feet tall. He started leaning so I tried to change the pot. He immediately died. Now I have a baby that's growing nicely but unsure of how and when to re-pot. Suggestions?

    Hey
    My diffenbachia keeps other getting thinner with yellow dying leaves or it’s not responding to what I do for it. I put it in indirect light it start to dye. I put in no light and it starts to dye. I reported it into a bigger container and it’s gotten worse. What am I doing wrong with this plant. Help please

    • @mariasplants
      @mariasplants  5 лет назад +1

      Change the location, and put it in direct sunlight, it should take some sun at least for 1 to 2 hours, and don't over water, it's better to water when really dry...
      Try changing the soil to NEW potting soil

    • @victorialouise41
      @victorialouise41 5 лет назад

      Have you tried feeding it organic fertilizer? Yellow leaves mean that you are watering it too much. Wait until it is completely dry before watering. Good luck!

      If you saw the whole video, you would know why...the bottom stem was way to thin and top too thick, once i cut it NOW it's actually flowering, which soon i will upload the video.

      That's exactly what I was thinking too... I've been growing dumb canes for over 15 years now and I would NEVER have ripped off the roots like that... It was doing beautifully where it was with plenty of room for the roots and plant to continue growing happily. It made me a little bit sad to see the roots be traumatized like that. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

    I need help my Dumb Cane is dying. I have re potted the plant. And only water it one a week but leaf is yellowing and brown. Help

    • @mariasplants
      @mariasplants  5 лет назад +1

      Check if there is any bug or mites, wipe the leafs with alcohol and when repotting did you see if it had roots? if not you will need to put in water to grow roots. Don't water till the soil is really dry, Over watering could cause the yellowing of leafs
