- First, this is just a 2S test run..... 3S run coming soon.
Body is a Pro-Line Protoform Cadillac ATS
Paint work was inspired by Eddie Van Halen's Frankenstrat guitar. When i seen the body, I seen the paint work.....
The Chassis is a Tamiya TT-02 Type-SR that I just rebuilt after a touring car race, where I wrecked it.
Power comes from a Zeee 7.4 volt 2S 5200 MaH 50C Lipo
A Castle Creation 1406 Sensored 6900kv motor
a Castle Creation Copperhead ESC
Gearing is ALL Tamiya, 29/64 (pinion is steel & not Tamiya).
Contact foam tires, either 30 or 34 shore.. and are 26mm wide
Radio is a Futaba T4PV

This is just for fun, I'm using stuff I had sitting around (the body I bought just for this). After I get a good 3S run, the motor & 64 tooth spur comes out, the pinion comes out and its going to be my parking lot touring car again.. Touring car racing is fun if everyone uses close to the same gear (motor turns, Lipo pack & C rating & No Gyro's). 4 or 5 guys running any chassis they want and try to stay with gearing close also, what a blast. Skill & Tuning come into play...... Anyway, I'm talking too muck...

Thanks brother Mark!!! Yes sir, only hit 55 but it wanted more but running out of real estate fast. We might try a run in the road just off the parking lot... We shall see.... 3S is going to be flipping nuts.. Rob said he shat him self with his brushless run, that has to be a smushy ride home, LOL.

Thanks Craig!!! I'm a bit shocked it went that fast on 2S and ran that well. Body does hit some stones here & there but that's parking lot running.
Oh, wow, Uncle Bob, that was an awesome run! It ran straight like a bullet, very nice, and a decent parking lot, you got there, too! Asphalt seemed a bit cracked but nice enough...
And that body looks so cool!
Thanks man, It's a High School parking lot but we are looking for a bigger one or a long straight road less traveled. Most parking lots for schools are well maintained but our roads are not. Thanks I think the body did come out ok.
Dang! 55 for a first run! 3s is gonna be a rocket! It looked good out there, nice and straight and not squirrely!
All off the shelf stuff anyone can buy... No custom CNC parts, no funky ass diffuser, no custom hand built chassis or parts... My thought, cars like that need there own class, an Unlimited Class. All parts for something like this should be commercially available for everyone, custom is custom... that's a whole different class..

Thanks Darren.. I cant wait to try 3S but also very nervous, this is my parking lot touring race car chassis. I'm using foam tires and trying very hard not to do donuts or slide the car a lot to save the tires as much as I can.

Thanks Jeremy, using what I had sitting around (other than the body) I was surprised at the speed really.. It's frightening knowing how fast these "Toys" can go. On to 3S and to find a road less traveled.

Thanks dudes and dudette!!!!! The parking lot (car park, you know, the place cars go to play and hang out, LOL) just isn't big enough, we (Kevin & I) run out of room just before hitting peak speeds, I'm thinking of using the road.... Oh and Kevin (MadmustangRC) pointed out to me that my motor is not 3S compatible, imma gonna do it anyway!!!!! Look up the specs, I did, Castle Creation, Product #: 060-0058-00, 1406 6900kv motor, only shows an input of 2S.......

@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC A lot could happen, first this isn't the everyday TT02, It's my TT-02 Type SR, and it's my parking lot touring car race chassis. And shit!!!! I'm responding to the wrong damn thing.... Yeah, it's only a motor, the motor was bad when I got it too (it was new) and it came with the esc I sent to Rob, It would get so hot after 5 seconds of power, even the motor wires to the esc got hot... I could not send him a junk motor... So a few months later, I bought a new rotor for it (same kv) and now it works.. Fingers crossed it don't burn up on 3S. Oh get it ran over by a car, done that before too....

Thank You kind sir... It's a High School parking lot right around the corner from Kevin's house & @ 15 mins from me (at mostly 55 mph), it's not that big when your car moves that fast. What we need is a back country road less traveled so we have more room to "Stretch Our Legs". I guess we will have to take a day and drive around to see what we can find. Oh an old foam tire racing trick... get a few tooth picks, some CA glue (or rc rubber tire glue) and glue the whole side wall of the tires, use the tooth picks to spread the glue, don't need a lot of glue.
Respectable run-time on 2s and I imagine 3s will be bonkers 😂
Thanks Peter... That might look like a big, wide open area, but I'm (we) are running out of room fast.... I still not hit max speed. We are talking about using the road next time, we just need 2 spotters, LOL. Yes Sir, 3S will be something and new to me, I only use 3S in my TXT-2 truck, my daughter used it in her Konghead with a old Trinity Speed Gems 2 Quartz 19x2 motor.
55 and that car looked planted too!
It sure was James, it seemed to run true. Only time will tell for how long.

The diff covers are cracked where the screws go in to hold on the damper stays (been that way when I built the car). I might do it again just so I know how fast it can go...

Oh "going to OUT* run"... I got confused for a second... LMAO. I want another try or 2 with 2S but a much longer run up, Then I'll go to 3S.
OK, for that to be just a test on 2S and you reached a speed of 55mph😯😯😯💯💯👍. The next run on 3S is going to be insane, I think you may need a longer stretch of road to get it up to full speed I'm going to guess 63mph on 3S.
I was thinking the same thing.... The parking lot just isn't big enough to open these cars out!!!! We are just about to reach peak speed but have to slow the cars down a few seconds sooner than peak..... I am thinking of trying it on the road....

3s is gonna be fast
It was fast on 3S, but crashed and ejected the gps and the gps ejected its battery... Broke the diff covers and I called it quits, after all, this is my touring car...

@@jemshobbies Nice, I'm just using pretty much stock gearing... 29/68 at the end... I'm not a fan of over gearing my motors, learned that the hard way back when I raced (that was brushed motors at the time, No brushless then)... You & your son are well on the way to over 100, Good Luck Guys!!!!!
