@@dyu8184 Doing something requires the knowledge of how to do it and the energy to do it.
If you have depression you start to lack energy, so once your energy levels drop below the energy you need to maintain a normal daily routine.
Then your living space will start to look like that.
Depression sucks and for people who never had it, it is hard to understand.
And from the outside it can be impossible to detect, as you will only see them, when they have energy to spare.

I never judge anybody because I myself struggle hard with depression/hoarding. True there are different levels of it, but we all need help and love without judgment! There are many things that exasperate this such as mental illnesses, physical illnesses, finances. And serious depression. Along with justbnot having people willing to help, or willing to help without berating and judging. Hoarding and being a mess can be extremely shameful for those struggling with it! Thank you for another fantastic Vlog! 💓💗❤️

      @TheKatarinaGiselle 2 месяца назад +1

@@helengren9349 we rescued a cat, and it has changed a lot for me and my family. We've been slowly cleaning and donating daily. What I do is I don't do too much and I focus on one area or section at a time. We still have a long way to go, but even still- knowing I have donated SO much and it will all get good use by others who are also struggling financially like me has made it easier. I will say, it isn't as bad as what it in this video. It's more that I have lived in a small apartment with two kids for ten years, and we have enough for a house. It makes it harder to decrease stuff because all of it is good, and has a use. But it is too much for an apartment. It can make it difficult to decrease, especially when it comes to clothing because we are struggling financially and always have and we can't get to the laundry mat often, so having a ton of clothing is a good thing for us. But I have to really trust that things will get better and trust the process. It isn't easy. I get myaundry done maybe once every 6 weeks at best, if that gives some perspective. Many people don't understand why it makes it so much harder to change the way I am living. But we aren't like dirty. It's more like a home with people with ADHD/autism. Piles and bags/boxes of stuff, but it's all used. We can't afford furniture. I've asked for donations online before when I really was pushed to my limit, but nobody ever donates. I did get help to do my laundry once, but it took begging for like two hours to get people to donate a dollar each. And was so grateful, believe me. What made me beg was we had a flood and I had to use every towel and blanket I owned to try to stop it from ruining the entire apartment and stop the flood at the same time. This happened in the end of last month. I didn't even get my clothing washed, it was just so I could wash the absolutely disgusting blankets and towels, because the last time I had a flood, it sat in a bag and it just never got done and I had to throw it all out. Sorry for rambling, but I don't talk with people often about my living situation because it does bring shame. It isn't like I don't try so hard and work my ass off. But we are seemingly cursed. If I explained just what's happened in the last year, you would be shocked. And it's been like this for the last decade..ever since this crazy HORRIBLE luck began. I have CPTSD, and it seems like as soon as I'm doing well, something else horrible happens, either directly or indirectly in a way that still affects us. It's crazy! Like my man was held at gub point, we had the Philly "Kia boys" try to steal our car and caused a ton of damage in the process...and those are just the first two things that come to mind..so many things happen and they always seem to happen around the same time, never giving us a weeks rest. I don't even live in a bad area! But I am in the first suburb outside Philadelphia. Anyway, I have rambled long enough 😅Dont let me wrong, I try really hard to stay positive and to find reasons to smile and laugh everyday, and to make sure my boys are happy and healthy.

And those people never change, sometimes people need a slap in the face, a good reality check. People do not listen and will not accept help most of the time.
Sometimes judgement is needed, especially in today's world when people are stubborn as ever.
I'm glad I faced the harsh reality and judged MYSELF. Now I'm 27 and will be a millionaire by 30, sometimes you just have to deal with things and stop being so soft on yourself and others. Look at the people who succeed and go much further in life, they dealt with the most.

I learned, years ago, that Japanese people don't often have functions (e.g. dinner parties) in their homes because many people have very cluttered homes that aren't comfortable for visitors. It's much more common to entertain in restaurants or hold functions in community centers or other rental locations.

I was extremely depressed and I lost the will to live, so of course I let the standard of living slip and left taking care of myself and my home by the wayside. It took many years and many revelations before I was finally able to make it right. I wish you and especially your kind friend the best, good luck to you both!!

I read some where that the state of your house reflect how you feel inside. Depression can be debilitating, and it worsens when you beat yourself up for not having the energy to clean, which in turns compounds your energy level and a cycle starts and gets worse. Pretty soon your home becomes overwhelming. Do what you can, and celebrate it. Give yourself love for what you have accomplished and ignore what you haven't. We have to be kind to ourselves and not beat ourselves up.

Yo Nomad... you can use any cup you have around for rice in the rice cooker. Just fill a cup with rice and pour it out. After washing the rice, drain it and fill the same cup with water. Add that cup of water to the rice and you'll have a perfect ratio of rice to water. Some people prefer a spoon of water more or less, but that's personal preference. Try it next time if you don't have the rice cup.

It is because of low storage space. I lived with low storage space and it is hard to not make it look messy. He is chill and the clean clothes were folded.
Get a laundry basket, use an old box for dirty socks to keep them separated, and get a standing hanger for used but not dirty clothes. Also, get a bin in the room next to the bed so he can throw stuff there instead of the floor.
Idk, take this as a video idea.
Glad I discovered you, the video was a great way to start the day alongside coffee.

This is typically a sign of depression, i know this is how i was when i was suffering the most, i just stopped caring about everything. While this isn't always the case, If he is struggling i wish him the best and hope he can manage to pull himself out of it or get the help he needs, i hate to see anyone struggling with depression cause i know how bad it can be.

I was watching a different video of a university student who said that they were in great need of Japanese/English speaking students including for long six month or more trips to other counties. Maybe presenting a idea for class that allows you to cover RUclips. Or even just taking a few courses on editing, photography and equipment could benefit you and the school. Maybe even a grant might be available.

That's a good place for a university student. It's okay if it's a bit messy, he's young. 😜 Great price on rent. 😊 That was so nice of him to let you stay there for several days.
My Mom taught me how to cook rice. Wash the rice and drain the water a few times until it's less cloudy. Then if there's no lines on the side of the rice pot, you can use your index finger (first finger) to measure the water level. Put your fingertip touching the top of the rice and put water up to your first knuckle. It works great. I was also taught to soak the rice in the water for 10 minutes before starting the rice cooker for more tender rice.
Your cooked rice looked great, glad it was perfect! 😃

I’m student lives in this house.
I cleaned my house after this video 😅
Soaking the rice is so important process!
But,I recommend to wash rice two or three times.
The milky white cloudiness in the water after washing rice consists of starch, which, if left in abundance, enhances the sweetness of the rice when cooked!

While this sure is a messy room, the public in my city usually looks this messy and dirty, so at leas this guy is not bothering anyone else with the trash and stuff xD I feel sad for his housing situation though, other than the mess his room seems to be in a pretty bad state like the wallpaper coming off. Also the paranomal activity might be the water pressure being off, I live a dorm and sometimes my sink spits out water randomly too
