A few years ago I spent 4 days there on our trip to Italy. Everyone told me how insane we were, how crowded it was, how touristy it was - they couldnt have been more wrong. It takes half an ounce of effort to find quiet spots in the city and I always say its like vacationing on a movie set, its that beautiful. Going back next year and taking 5 days this time around
I left 1 day ago after staying 4 days, the place is a dump. It stinks, the canals smell like sewerage it’s busy like I’ve never seen before. Would never go back wouldn’t recommend anyone to waste their time whilst there are way more amazing sites to see with far less people.
We found it was so much more worth it to walk around Venice instead of using the water taxis. Venice is easy to get around and not very big, plus you get to see so many sights just by walking to your destination!
Venice is insanely gorgeous, but can also be hard to navigate if you don't know it well, which can sometimes be overwhelming. Thank you for making this! It hits all of the main points you want to see, with some hidden wonders tucked in there. It also makes Venice more accessible and way less overwhelming for people like me. Angel, you rock!
The great thing about Venice is walking the city, getting lost, coming across great restaurants, and finding your way back to your hotel. It’s wonderful.
It’s fun because those people saying Venice is quite crowded, are the same that effortlessly wait 4 hours in line for a DisneyWorld attraction. Actually, by just using parallel streets and exploring a little you’ll surprisingly see that Venice is empty in most of its parts. For what concerns the magnificent Saint Mark square, simply go there in the morning or in the evening to see it completely empty. Enjoy and respect this porcelain city
I was lucky enough to go twice in two months. A lovely friend has an apartment on Guidecca right on the canal The first visit I had a weekly travel pass and it was pure heaven The next trip I had a pass again and used the vaparettos to go all over even out to the Lido People say it's too busy - that's like saying it's too beautiful I saw my visits again in your video Thank you - it was excellent One thing I'd add - go up the tower at San Giorgio for quite the most spectacular wide view of Venice It's better and cheaper than the Campanile
This is so comprehensive! I fell in love with Venice this year and would love to go back and see even more. It is definitely magical in the morning without the crowds there.
If you ever want to spend 4 days in Venice, the apartments are called Rialto suits. It is near everything. You are 1 minute away from the Rialto bridge The rooms are enough for 5 people. St. Marks Square is 3 minutes away. I definitely recommend the Rialto suits apartments.
I've watched legit hours of videos on Venice (and Italy in general) leading up to my 2 week trip next week. Yours are by far the most helpful in everything that I've seen, I particularly appreciate the explanation on waterway transport. Looking forward to watching your other videos on Rome and hopefully Florence and Naples. Great work!

We’ve booked our first trip to Venice, going first week in May for 5 nights, staying at Rialto hotel, right next to the bridge 🥰 can’t wait, it looks amazing ❤️
how was it? I just booked a stay at the Rialto for next year, so I'd love your insight on how well you were able to access/find the hotel from the vaporetto.
@@stephanieschultzdbasilvers5758 Hi, we’ve had an amazing time, we did book a junior suite room & we got one overlooking the grand canal, which was lovely till nighttime. There was a bar right underneath our room, booming music till 4am, so we moved to the back of the hotel, only looking at a wall but so peaceful 😁 the roof terrace is amazing, take a nice bottle with you, there’s a supermarket near, & watch the sunset, it’s stunning 🤩 All the hotel staff were fab, really helpful, brilliant location with lots of restaurants nearby, we just wandered around till we found which we wanted, but always went a different direction each time & tried loads of different places, amazing food,my favourite was the seafood spaghetti 🥰 have an amazing time, it’s magical ♥️
I was lucky to have lived here while I studied to receive my Master's degree from Cà Foscari. Frari church is a definite must-see experience. Besides the Assumption, there are impressive sculptures like the Mausoleum of Titian and the tomb of the sculptor Antonio Canova. I always enjoyed getting my morning coffee with the locals at Cafe Doge. The coffee and pastries are excellent, just outside the places frequented by tourists. The tip on purchasing day tickets over single-use is very on point. This way, you can always use the Vaporetto when tired of walking or during the aqua alta. On a side note, the traghetto is a cheap and quick gondola ride, but I would like to let you know that you are encouraged to stand while crossing the canal. Thanks again for the wonderful tour and memories of an unforgettable part of my life!
Thank so much for this great Venezia tour, I’ll love this magical place and going back soon, for sure I’ll use those special two days pass , Grazie ciao

Thank you for sharing your experience in Venice. By the way, would it be better to buy the train ticket at the station instead of buying online to go to Milan?
thank you for subscribing. Buying tickets online on my phone saves me time at train stations and then the tickets are on my phone so all I have to do is show the conductor a QR code on my phone. Also, there are often online deals that aren’t available at the train station through the official Trenitalia or Italo apps.

We are going to Venice, Italy in a few months. Your video helped me figure out what to do there for 5 days before boarding the E. Mediterranean Cruise. I am now one of your subscribers.
@@TheTourGuyVids Thank you for the advice.
How do you book a tour? My husband and I are going to be visiting March 28-April 12th. We have a couple days for Venice and I want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks so much! You made this video really easy to see how we can do this.
All tours can be booked online. Here you go: thetourguy.com/tours/venice
