So the cops let two guys run off without so much as a “hey, stop” but they immediately jump on the black man who was sitting calmly and complying? I bet these are the same cops that go home and complain about how no one respects them.
That's how APD does. My friend, Gregg, was drunk and yelling at his wife 1 night. His wife called my friend, Max, whose car I happened to be in. Max zoomed to their house and when he parked, he B-lined to their door. I calmly get out and start walking. APD stop ME, frisk ME and question ME. Mind you, the only reason they were there is because someone called the police on my White friend, Gregg. The police even asked ME why White Max ran. I guess I was expected to read minds. For what it's worth, they never did talk to Gregg. Gregg was the proud owner of 3 firearms and when he got drunk, he thought it was playful to practice BJJ on his woman.
It's not even that. Two guys run off on foot, and a black man with a bicycle and backpack is resting on the curb minding his own business. How do you get from trespass call, to pull a gun on a black guy who just happens to be in the area and almost certainly has nothing to do with the situation, to pull a gun on him and threaten his life without asking him a single question? Obvious racism and intentional abuse of authority, that's how.

It's not part of their training, it's the personality types(ESJF, ESTJ, some of the lowest average IQ human brains) who typically becomes a cop. They all end up following the same patterns because they ARE the same pattern...Bring on the ROBOCOPS IMO
I'd call it extrajudicial killing but at least in that case we are talking about some badass who likely is a murderer but we have a process to justice. This is just blue mob abuse and murder.
The cop is yelling "Get on your face!", while he's holding him down on his back. Cop obviously wanted to beat the guy and was trying to make him look non-compliant. I hope the cop has fun in prison.
Why do cops think anyone would willingly lie down in the dirt on their face? These cops are despicable. They delight in doing the most foul things they can do to the people they are supposed to protect.
yes.. this seems to be the kind of game that cops play far too often with young black men.. and of course if he complied in a hurry - cop could have said that was a sudden movement which could justify more violence or a gun shot..
The brute cop wanted the man's face in the dirt! His aim was to humiliate that Black man as he demonstrated his power and authority over him. It wasn't enough that the man was on his stomach on the ground. His face had to be IN THE DIRT! And it made no difference that that ground was full of rocks!
This was traumatizing to watch. I can’t imagine how the man who was assaulted must feel. The fear someone must feel to say “you’re killing me” it just churns my stomach.
Think about it. If you comply, you stop covering up and will get hit again with that pistol, and if you resist you will get shot in the head... Thats why he is just yelling "your killing me" Trying to let them know the extent of his injuries....

All this really means is that police chiefs are starting to see the writing on the wall. As Rayy pointed out this very department has had countless recent incidents. Nothing about them is reformed they're just reacting in self preservation.

He’s even holding him up while screaming to get on his face. How tf is someone supposed to pull that off????
If cops start going to jail, I truly believe things will start to change. Their safety nets needs' to be removed. They need to learn that no one is above the law.

We need a federal "good apple" law were the bystanding cops are charged with the same crimes as the offending cop. Just like how prosecutors can charge the getaway driver for murder when they never held a gun.
Both of those cops belong in prison. The male officer for aggravated assault and the female officer for being his accomplice in committing a felony. Put them both in general population.
The police chief is partly responsible too. She hired and supervised them, so everything they did on the field is a reflection of her leadership and the department as a whole. They wouldn't have been there if their superiors didn't deputize them and put a gun in their holsters.

That is probably the worst case of a "God complex" that I've ever seen.. There was absolutely no need for any of that shit. Yet they want to "investigate" it. I've seen retail workers get fired on the same day they messed up a display, but if your a cop, it takes a while to decide.. Decide or hide?.. you never know which these days. Imagine if the guy had touched the gun or pushed it aside out of fear of it going off by accident, the cop was going to accuse the suspect of trying to disarm him and then proceed to shoot
They should bring those cops out in public and do the exact same to them. Get someone twice their size hold them in a position where they can’t roll over and every time they are told to move when they can’t they get cracked over the head. Oh and have a gun in their face.
Just like a few years back when they were giving conflicting commands to the guy in the hotel hallway before shooting him because their commands were confusing.
The officers committed several felonies and should be charged with violent gang armed assault. Traditionally district attorneys have gone out of their way to mitigate and often ignore police crimes. This makes them part of the problem. The job of a district attorney should be to bring charges against criminals. Their job is NOT to protect violent criminal police because of the working relationship. david
In the 1990s most states implemented laws doubling the penalties for crimes committed against cops. Unfortunately they failed to do the obvious and double or more the penalties for cops who commit crimes and the prosecutors who abet them in their criminal activity.
Also, Haubert had previously been arrested, before becoming a police officer, for pointing a shot gun at a roommate while drunk. He never should have been hired to begin with.

life in prison without the possibility of parole. There was no excuse for this and anyone else would be charged with terroristic threats and if they had done it to a cop would be charged with attempted murder, especially in a state like mine where the penalty for a crime against the cops is doubled because it was a cop. Just ask the guy serving life for shooting a cop at point blank range with his own gun on Christmas day 1994. Four shots fired, four wings hit, and charged with attempted murder. What was the idiot prosecutor thinking? That someone who shoots this accurately (much more accurately than most cops) was actually planning to hit the femoral arteries and letting the guy bleed out? There was no attempted murder there and since in this state the jury has no ability to find the guy guilty of a lesser charge he should have been acquitted because of prosecutorial misconduct in filing that charge.
They saw him in fear and they preyed on it… that’s what evil does and that’s what those cops did!!! So they continued to torture him and beat him and hold that poor man against his will which is called kidnapping too!!!! They need to be charged with terrorism!!!

I'm so sorry that you're re-traumatized when viewing these cops being violent towards Black people. Thank you for your service. I hope change will come - soon, because this use of excessive force by LEOs is unacceptable. The young man was terrified and traumatized as he was subjected to violence, pleading for his life. He must've been confused by the cops' orders, like "Get on your face!" which should've been "Lie on your stomach," (repeated) which had been said seconds earlier, but switched to the officer bellowing "Get on your face!" The victim couldn't process or understand what the cops meant by putting his arms out in front of him - while lying and being held face-down - and seemed to be protecting his head out of fear. He was in no way resisting. When the cop said, "_You've got a gun_ pointing at your head" as a threat, the frightened victim likely misunderstood and thought the cop meant _he_ had a gun on him, hence his answer that he didn't have a gun on him. His squirming wasn't an attempt to obstruct police or "escape," but seemed like a genuine, self-preservation, flight response at being in such an unexpected and unprovoked attack, especially because of the prevalence of violence towards Blacks by police, and last year's BLM movement thrusting this ugly reality into the spotlight. This young man and his 2 buddies looked like they were sitting down, taking a break from cycling, when approached by the cops. The victim had what looks like a lighter in his hand, so having a cigarette or maybe a joint - a ridiculous reason to provoke such an extreme response by police. I can only imagine how horrifying that violent, life-threatening incident was, and I hope those cops get convicted and are given _meaningful sentences,_ to send a message to _ALL_ police, and that act as a deterrent to excessive use of force and targeting of POCs. I hope the young man seeks support, like trauma counselling, paid by victims' services, so he can recover from this devastating threat to his life by LEOs.

Because he was waiting to kill him, and further, he was trying to scare the man into doing something that would justify the killing to his superiors. Pressing the gun into the back of his head is a threat, it's to show that the gun is there and ready to kill you, it's a constant reminder that your life is in his hands, and then the cop starts lying about the situation and saying that you're armed, and acting as if he can't see your hands. That's the moment this guy freaked out and started squirming, he managed to control himself when he thought his life was in the hands of a good or decent cop, but once you lie to the persons face like that while you hold their life in your hand, how they supposed to trust you or any cop about anything? Especially knowing that other cops like that woman, will hold him down and just allow this to happen. She could have said "cut it out, this is unnecessary", but she didn't, she was an accessory to the crime just like in the George Floyd case. Cops defend each other, you can't trust the bad cops and the good cops all protect the bad cops, which means that in reality, they're all bad cops.
So just to update, the cop was actually saying "you have a gun... pointed straight at the back of your head". I didn't hear the second part because the guy freaks out thinking that he heard "you have a gun", and that's what I had initially thought I heard as well. Regardless, this cop was way out of line, I don't know if he was trying to kill the man or if he just wanted to feel powerful or if he thought he was doing the right thing, but regardless we need to improve our police system. Hold cops responsible when they get off on abusing power, and train new cops to do better.
Now, while we have your attention: Imagine how often this kind of policing happened before body cameras and cell phone cameras. Question: Why do a lot of Black people not trust the police?
I'm Canadian and l refuse to go to the US of hate. Rather take my vacations where the chance of being shot is minimal, say a war zone in Africa, or anywhere in the Gaza strip, hell Afghanistan is probably safer than Aurora is.

One of the problems with the expression "it's just a few bad apples" is that the full expression is "A few bad apples SPOIL THE WHOLE BUNCH". So if you're already dealing with "a few bad apples" then your bunch is already spoiled.
And personal liability Insurance held and paid for by each officer. I paid almost $2000 each year that I ran my ice hockey schools and I wasn't even packing a gun. I was held personally responsible for accidents and or injuries. The premium was paid regardless before I or any participants stepped on the ice.
Definitely
not the whole bunch bushel so about 3 bad cops nullify 122 good ones if being pedantic which I here as a coping mechanism
as horrified as i am at the violence that this young man had to endure, it is excellent to hear about these animals actually being held accountable... and not just a paid vacation!!!! good for the Aurora Chief!!!
I am not a man that sheds tears very often, but this video literally brought me to tears when He said you are killing me I don’t know who these cops think they are. I am very blessed that I live in Canada and I’ll have to deal with this BS policing laws and how they perform are very different up here. But I would be lying if I said that all police officers are good because for every one good police officer, there’s eight or nine bad police officers, in very unfortunate that we live in this type of world, where the people that swore to protect, and serve turn out to be the biggest gangsters and gangbangers, and most horrible people I have ever seen. This is mainly why I do not like Cops Another thing that worries me and concerns me is how our police officers supposed to build trust with the community when they do completely ridiculous shit like this
To see a human being beg for his life is a special kind of evil.
how can he "get on his face" when they're holding him in the current face-up position? it's just pure sadism
That's the point! it's the same ploy as them shouting Stop resisting when they pile on to a suspect ana beating suspect who isn't resisting. They already know.
You saw a different video. I saw them grab his arm and try to roll them over.
@@vu7419 What is wrong with you people? I can't make a simple, specific comment without someone replying arguing all sorts of assumptions about beliefs I never even opined on.
The cop is completely mental. Makes you think who the actual criminal is.
exactly
You don’t need to “think” when it’s this obvious.
so are u saying we taking commands from mental challenged cops on the loose with guns+badges
@@Fatty7855 more like take orders from anyone pointing a gun at you. Especially if they have it pressed to your head. No badge required.
These videos are traumatizing. Seriously, as an African American and veteran videos of this sort deeply trouble me!
Yes they are traumatizing. And it deeply troubles a lot of us love. Don’t doubt it for a second.
@@wholeshebang1 We also thought we saw that someone was holding one arm so he couldn't "get on his face".And it also looked like the police officer standing with the gun, had his knee on the victims hip.= again he couldn't "get on his face". Terrible to watch and incredibly important to go on covering in the news.
@@wholeshebang1 dude he shouldnt have been put on his stomach in the first place. That would not have happened if he was white.
you don't have to be African-American to be deeply troubled by these videos.
Thank you for your service. ☮
People in America constantly come up with reasons to why you can’t have human rights
Why did he keep the gun to his head? that's a guaranteed kill shot like he was waiting to kill him
Because he was waiting to kill him, and further, he was trying to scare the man into doing something that would justify the killing to his superiors.
@@TheDevilslayer101 well said! 👌
@@TheDevilslayer101 exactly what I was thinking
So just to update, the cop was actually saying "you have a gun... pointed straight at the back of your head". I didn't hear the second part because the guy freaks out thinking that he heard "you have a gun", and that's what I had initially thought I heard as well. Regardless, this cop was way out of line, I don't know if he was trying to kill the man or if he just wanted to feel powerful or if he thought he was doing the right thing, but regardless we need to improve our police system. Hold cops responsible when they get off on abusing power, and train new cops to do better.
Idk guess they teach executions at the police academy now.
Racists will always have an excuse...
That is disgusting behavior on the cops part. The guy is shocked that the other two ran, immediately got pushed to the ground, and a gun put to the back of his head. That officer needs to be in jail.
Can't say I blame the other two for running, regardless of what they did, if this is how cops immediately respond to someone just sitting there.
I feel very sorry about black american society who always have to face such brutalism of police
I'm in tears, this should never happen to anyone
I know. It's pitiful.
yea, bruh...i cried too...that man thought he was gonna die...he's never gonna get over this...he was way to terrified...
