hey so, I'm a heavy equipment mechanic and one trick to get bearings to go in is to throw 'em in the freezer for few hours. when you take them out install them promptly before they have a chance to warm back up to room temp. maybe even heat the bb a bit but NOT with a torch!
A threaded rod a couple bit washers and two nuts you could make a squeeze press to install those bearing without hammering them or harbor fight make a tool that goes over them bearing so you wont chew of the bearing hammering it in.
@@Fax_my_pants a rubber mallet can’t knock bearings in. The hammer works fine it’s just a little risky. As long as you tap it evenly around the outer part of the bearing it doesn’t damage anything.
So many things work better than a hammer. A c clamp with some blocks of wood would be a cheap easy option. Also use more grease. We all start some where nice bike hope you ride it hard

I’m running the 8 spline because it’s the only chrome crank I have, and I’m not really thrashing my bike. I do have 48 spline cranks, Èclat tibia/odyssey calibur. They just need paint, and it’s snowing rn
I just ended up with a rhd hub, and since my sprocket is guarded, and doesn’t hit the ledge, it’s fine. Also, I don’t want to pay $360 for a new hub when mine is perfectly fine.
@memba berryare you grinding on the same side as your drivetrain? If so than I recommend hub guards as you will be damaging your chain/driver. If you only intend to grind on the non drive side, there not absolutely necessary but I do still highly recommend them.
whats going on with the cinema hub guard i have the same one came with my freecoaster pretty sure it goes under the frame unless ur doing some whack spacer shit edit: lol just scrolled down
I have a hard time believing you actually RIDE this bomb-proof bike like it should be ridden after watching you assemble the hub guard (and for bb- use rubber mallet). Beautiful bike though
Those of ya putting in your bottom bracket don’t use a hammer any store that sells tools has an isle that sells nuts Bolts an washers get bolt the size of your spindle get 4 washers the size of your bearings and two nuts it will cost you 4$ and you can re use it forever don’t ruin. Your bearings
What's odd about it? I was learning feebles at the time and wanted to avoid damaging anything, as all my friends at the time were also breaking stuff while learning to grind
@@Luka5s_s13 i like to think i ordered the last one in stock because as soon as i grabbed it, no stores had it since lol. The green still looks sick tho
Id never ride a bike built by this dude. Beat the bottom bracket bearings with a hammer?🤔 rear hub guard install wrong. Smashing the cranks thru the bearings. Didnt see him install the spacer between bb bearings. And he didnt tighten the bars in a star pattern. The way he did it can crack the stem
Nice!!
Thanks! I love the frame, it’s the only bike with the perfect geometry for me.

Ho------LEE------SHIT! This is the single best piece of video ever recorded...EVER! AND...the best bike of all time in the universe.
Thanks lol
Awesome video!! Love the camera angles
nice build, definitely upgrade those cranks as soon as possible, they’re cheap and when they break the medical bill will be a lot more than a new set
Bmx cranks don't break easily, you gotta put a lot of force, weight and pressure to break them, even if you have a 5$ set

At 4:34 I didn't know that you have to fix the chain protector out side the frame! I thought it should be inside close to the wheel sprocket!

Pensé lo mismo, y luego el hubguard. Facepalm. Aun asi el frame es hermoso.
Pone las. Guardas por fuera qué rayos quien las pone por fuera
When you build a bike always clamp it by a seatpost .A cheap seatpost works great as a dummy post for builds .

As an advice, better to fix the chain sprocket on the place you don't grind,
Example: you grind left, the sprocket should be right.
& vise versa.

argument getting a BSD over an S&M frame? Better quality or just personal preference?
Didn’t get an s&m because it’s like $600-$700 and the bsd had the geometry I liked.
