“We are just gonna throw a bunch of random tools in a room and you fuck with them” God forbid the game encourages creativity and allows players to find their own ways of tackling the problems. There are plenty of genuine things to criticize about this game, but it’s so obvious that he sucks at the game and isn’t willing to give anything a chance. 4:55:39 This comment got one thing wrong. Going to the Deku tree makes getting the Master Sword much easier by giving you a marker on the map telling you where the Master Sword is at all times, as well as permanently reducing the Light Dragon’s altitude. It’s not necessary for the tear method, but it is an alternative method of getting it. Edit: Though maybe the tear method also reduces her altitude permanently. I didn’t use that method, so I am unsure.
@@Dovahkiin914 I see it as just leading up to the Deku Tree quest. She did fly low in the area of the last tear but I sidetracked and didn't get on her right away and then she got away and started flying way high again.
I never saw the light dragon till I got to one sky island in the south that it flies by. I thought it was just another normal dragon so I glided to it. I then accidentally got the master sword on account my stamina was just high enough. 😅
I just figured you had to go via the Deku Tree. It makes sense--I don't know where the Master Sword is, so I'll go to Korok Forest. There was a week-long break in between where he was getting clapped on SF6 and stuff so his tiny mental stack presumably overflowed that information out of his head. Ok. I've finished the video now. Great job with it. As per usual, the one bit of wisdom Phil would really learn a lot from is "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." All game people been telling him that he needs better armor, stats, more health, whatever. Weird how Phil will explain that needing certain healing items for the last boss is unbalanced while never mentioning that being able to bring a near limitless amount of healing items into a battle trivializes it
Zelda series doesn't recognize the "Grandfather paradox". Totk (my head canon) works off the idea that even if Zelda traveled to the past, the events from BotW still happened, and time traveled Zelda wouldn't have been able to influence the events. He’s mad at every single thing the game asks you to do, even if it’s optional. When he says “i don’t want to waste my time, why are they disrespecting my time, i just want to play the game”… what PART of the game exactly?? He hates every moment of it.
2:24 well unlike you phil, link has the triforce of courage, so no, he wouldn't be making a trail of piss like you would
he looked at the pot 12 times before finding it this man cannot play a game without a guide
“We are just gonna throw a bunch of random tools in a room and you fuck with them”
God forbid the game encourages creativity and allows players to find their own ways of tackling the problems. There are plenty of genuine things to criticize about this game, but it’s so obvious that he sucks at the game and isn’t willing to give anything a chance. He’s literally relying on his chat to tell him what to do with everything in the main campaign. Phil, you clearly just don’t like video games.
Massive props for editing this together by the way. I can only imagine how long it must’ve taken. I can’t blame you for probably not wanting to do another one. This was so well done! 👍
2:08:40 He wants the classic "Megaman! Megaman! Shoot lemons to your enemies" LOL
As a long time Zelda player, I have seen 9 year olds play better than Phil.
No I got all the tears but she was still flying way too high until I went to the Deku Tree.
@@jamesv337 figured. Seems the Tear method is an unintentional alternate method, from what I’ve seen and heard.
I saw clips with him and the Master Sword and I wondered how the hell HE beat Phantom Ganon in that tiny room without ragequitting. Go figure his dipshit fans told him how to skip that part.
Complains about the first enemy, terrifed its going to hit him.
Locks on, downs it, breaks his weapon. The enemy CLEARLY drops its weapon.
"I DONT HAVE A WEAPON" then somehow manages to find his mastersword before the branch.
Phil has an uncanny ability to proceed in the least optimal way possible in every game. His name should be fucking Murphy, because he is his law incarnate.
3 minutes in and I already have to pause out of anger. This is a masterpiece.
Lmao “the first game didn’t even matter guys”, “oh look gotta kill those dragons again.” Like Phil I know you are smooth brain but please for the love of god you fucking idiot
When he was shocked at the dragons and said they killed them in the last game I felt my soul leave my body. Phil truly has negative brain cells.
1:37:11 Everything is stupid says the guy detonating a timed bomb right next to him.
The person telling him there was a time limit to getting that last Dragon Tear played him like a fiddle. 4:56:10
Watching him fight the second (aerial) Kogha battle was painful, especially after he complained that the first was too easy.
Even after someone told him to fuse weapons he still didn’t get it
The best part is that he doesn't go after Kohga again after that fight. He doesn't explore much of Hyrule or the depths in 2 months. His armor is shit, his weapons are shit, and his IQ, you get the gist.
@@GravityFaizthe part where he struggled with the hot air balloon shrine was where I realized his IQ was in the negatives. My 8 year old little cousin completed that shrine in just like 2 minutes.
Its amazing, he always talks as if he's trying to make deductions and figure things out but there's just nothing going on inside that head of his.
3:34:45 DSP complains about getting killed in one hit while ignoring onscreen tip telling him how to enhance armor.
Him looking for the cooking pot in Goron City hurt me both physically and psychologically😬
I'm so glad I don't stream games. For some reason I completely blinded on the location of the Goron general store and it took me way too long to find Goron spice. Making mistakes is human, it's how you react to said mistakes that separates humans from pigroaches.
@@NIMPAK1 I can understand not being able to find the general store, even I get a little lost in Goron city. But my man Phil legit stared at the pot 5 paces in front of him for a solid 10+ seconds and still couldn’t find it💀.
@@Dovahkiin914 lol
Another thing is that while I may have awful observation and navigation skills, I was also able to understand puzzles that most people apparently had trouble on. DSP on the other hand is awful at everything.
How does this man play Switch games without knowing the difference between R and ZR?
This is the same guy that was surprised when Wind Waker HD offered Pro Controller support.
Also it's insanely funny that he completely wrote off Zonai builds because he couldn't stick a fan to a wooden plank to save his life, and then gets completely smoked by Kohga's Zonai builds
Having done every shrine in the game myself without any prior knowledge, it causes me physical pain to watch Phil just completely miss every puzzle solution. If this dude was valedictorian I must be a genius.
I just want to say, that this is beautifully edited, so much effort put into it unlike other TIHYDP creators, this is truly a masterpiece so far, thank you for all the hard work you put into this!
"He's a complete moron!" and you're controlling him.
1:30:10 watching him put the bow away and taking out a melee weapon was like watching a human go backwards in evolution.
I used to think Arin Hanson of Game Grumps was the undisputed king of complaining about self-inflicted problems with a game but my goodness does this guy take the cake. The commenters were right. Skill issue.
Arin does have that problem but he's not even in the same galaxy as DSP
I still say Arin is a very strong contender for this kind of video.
I feel like when arin does it its funny but when dsp does it u can tell he thinks the games at fualt
In some games, Arin is worse, like Majora's Mask and Sonic Adventure 2.
@@daethalion1725there are videos like this on Arin.
He somehow gets stupider with time.
He's starting to get dementia/becoming senile. His brain's riddled with gout and gin after all.
My eleven year old daughter breezed through most of this stuff. This HAS to be a work of some kind.
Nope. As someone that has watched several DSP-themed TIHYDPs over the years, I can tell you that he's *always* been this incompetent! 😆
He was actually acting like a toddler during the Ganon fight, it's the final boss, it's not supposed to be easy.
Tbh it’s still pretty easy which is actually sad that he sucks at it so bad. The one thing about Zelda games I’ve never liked is how easy the bosses are most of the time and Phil somehow miraculously sucks at every one of them.
he wants every final boss to be like the one in BOTW
1:25:14 shows that he knew how to throw items THIS FAR BACK. and still somehow forgot when it came to the more recent bomb throwing.
There was a week-long break in between where he was getting clapped on SF6 and stuff so his tiny mental stack presumably overflowed that information out of his head.
The throw-materials controls are actually super unintuitive but just admitting that he forgot would really diminish the salt mines we're working on here - but he can't do that, has to be the game's fault, dood...
3:01:30 I don't think most people understood what to do for this exact part of this shrine. I just stacked all the wheels up and glued the orb to the top, climbed the stairs, and took it from there.
No Phil, you didn't lose Ultrahand..that was Magnesis in BotW which allowed you to move only metallic objects 🤦🏻♂
DSP is one of the least imaginative people I have ever witnessed.
I can't believe he beat the game. I thought he would've rage quit on the final boss. Or even sooner.
"It's a puzzle boss, this is stupid."
The entire boss fight was literally a final test of skill, something he clearly has issues with.
This is gold, you can go to any moment and something dumb is happening. Thanks for the video.
The funniest recurring joke is how he constantly forgets how to throw materials lol.
in one of them he kills himself with a bomb flower
2:33:09 this is the funniest jump cut I’ve ever seen
… it’s actually more of a reveal than a cut, but it’s still hilarious. Why is it angled like that?
in phils case it this the a funniest cut ive ever seen. i can't get over the fact he started sluring his words by saying how is this a fun.
I love how his chat are the biggest short bus riders ever but he needs them to hold his hand
4:13:08 You CANNOT make this shit up ROFLMAO 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
That Hero's path reveal told me everything I needed to know.
looks like the first attempt at a low% speedrun
Anyone got a timestamp?
@@screensshot5040 5:32:27
@@xvnz Thanks
And wow, that is actually ridiculous. This is what he calls "a waste of his time"? Just shut up
Well now I gotta say DSP does have talent...Nobody can make you laugh while being so infuriated at the same time
He needs to get an entirely new hobby. And a job.
Ok. I've finished the video now. Great job with it.
As per usual, the one bit of wisdom Phil would really learn a lot from is "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." All game people been telling him that he needs better armor, stats, more health, whatever. And instead of taking a little bit of time 3 weeks ago to get said upgrades, he just skips it and gets himself stuck in a boss fight that's just pissing him off.
He plays every game like this. Every. Game.
4:06:29 he said "I'm gonna do everything in the dumbest way possible" and then did the puzzle the correct way you can't make this up
“I don’t know what to do”. Code for: chat tell me what to do
How does one forget how to throw items 4 times in one playthrough?
DSP's built different (derogatory)
@@GravityFaiz for years ive been convinced its all a play and he’s messing with us because it works. Theres no way someone can be this incompetent right?
@@GravityFaizif you mean retarded, then sure
DSP is very regarded
Great to see an early TIHYDP, but six hours is way too generous. This game was Phil’s new Need For Speed Payback level of TIHYDP
every time DSP laughs sarcastically I die a little inside.
I think Phil used fuse once for the tutorial and never again and wonders why his weapons do nothing
This shit has been fucking killing me all week. Thanks a million for uploading it and editing it so well.
Watching phil should be considered cruel and unusual punishment
2:09:30 " you need time to play this game..." well I've been playing it for about 2-3 hours per week, you can still make heaps of progress if you understand the basic mechanics of the game
WPIG needs to react to the boss fight at 1:50:50 - 2:09:00 ish
Bruh compared to DSP here I was practically Doom Guy vs Ganondorf. I ripped and tore Ganondorf a new one and then some after the final phase XD
Man, I thought I was struggling when I B-lined it for Kakariko village at the start of the game, didn't have a paraglider when I met Impa in the hot air balloon, and forgot about my ascend ability when I found a ledge too high to reach, had to relearn my dodging timing, and of course was throwing my weapon when I wanted to use ultra hand from time to time, but in comparison to this guy, my gameplay was smooth
doesnt press A for tulin's gust.
oh this doesnt work and now it his fault i wont make it
3:59:07 - 4:04:56 I lost brain cells watching Phil trying to complete the shrine like that.
Edit: Watching Phil fail at games in general makes me lose brain cells.
Weird how Phil will explain that needing certain healing items for the last boss is unbalanced while never mentioning that being able to bring a near limitless amount of healing items into a battle trivializes it
3:00 the entire first game is NOT pointless
if zelda was the (spoilers) this whole time, then who was holding back calamity ganon during the events of botw?
Zelda series doesn't recognize the "Grandfather paradox". Totk (my head canon) works off the idea that even if Zelda traveled to the past, the events from BotW still happened, and time traveled Zelda wouldn't have been able to influence the events. Not to mention how the game sets up the "hidden past" and BotW Zelda would have been non-the wiser to her future time traveled self anyway.
Just imagine if it had ended in an ragequit, would've been so poetic
No doubt we're seeing this on his best and ESPECIALLY Worst of 23 with how much media been blasting him
I still can't believe how much he rushed this game, now look at what he playing, SF6 and Gta 5 for the THIRD TIME
I get serious second hand embarrassment when a grown adult gets vocally upset over stupid shit. DSP is lethal to me.
“So the the previous game was useless cuz the calamity is now gone” NO SHIT THATS HOW GAMES WORK
Except it's literally not even true
