i think for me what i really hate most about the game is that there is just a clear lack of miscellaneous places to loot. meaning if you dont go to the major POI's. youre just getting scraps and not getting lucky with at all. the cement plant on dam is the most contested area because of drills they got for 200k+ on the auction house making a very reliable money intake meanwhile less important POI's barely have anything useful. The map is also quite clearly funneling you into chokepoints making it harder to rotate around the map... its very much not a solo friendly game.. yes its good that there is no team dmg so people cant just straight up kill you and take your loot but overall im 1000% with you on the AI PMC's. it needs to go badly and is not welcome.
It's kinda funny, because this is EXACTLY the issue Tarkov had in it's early days. Shoreline was worthless if you didn't go to resort (once Resort was actually added) for so long. Customs had a massive chokepoint and the best loot was in Dorms. Woods had a tight chokepoint if you didn't wanna go through sawmill, and there was nothing but sawmill, basically. They recognised the issue, fixed it, and now the maps give you a lot more reason to go to many places (Sometimes too many places) so it's funny seeing a Tarkov-type gamemode hitting the same issue again.
I agree with choke points and POIs. Everyone rushes the safes but there are a few places you can loot and find higher value items. My buddy found a 3 mil laptop in a random flight case outside of a POI. I hear that in the EA version that china has, they are trying to fix this problem . Hopefully they fix these issues because the game itself plays well for the most part
They defenitly need to get ridd of the useless world chat and put proximity chat in game, especialy in Warfare mode, it's fustrating to have other squad next to you and not be able to talk to them, to try to organize a push, a defense or somthing. I think it would be great.
Will i agree with your suggestion, coordination really hasn't been a part of a battlefield game since BF3 or BF4, when they had a commander position. I think that's where battlebit and Hell let loose shined - the VOIP... And every non-prox chat game since battlebit has felt almost lonely.
And one other thing he missed about the gun loadout. If you want you can export and import builds just by adding a namestring from anyone. It ads everything they have on the gun and even will apply their calibration. So instead of looking at what they have or getting it explained. You paste, search, add and buy the parts.
I'm excited for this! I really hope EFT can take a long hard look at this and give us some REAL QOL features. It seems all of their gearing systems in EFT are half baked and needs some real improvement.
Having played the previoust test quite a bit the forced matchmaking is what I didn't like as a duo/solo player as well. If they added a queue that was up to 3-man but no matchmaking I think that would help as you would have a lot more solo/duo players queueing. The bots also don't seem to 'extract', they will just roam a small area over and over till a player crosses their line of sight and then will chase them down which can feel really bad as a player because it is all risk with no reward like late game player fights when everyone is trying to extract
I feel it lacks The Killer feature. Like you said, Tarkov makes it believable. Generic middle of nowhere shiny city is outdated for a long time, you don't feel like someone actually lived there. Also hideout now plays a big part, if it plays a role of storage plus rewards claiming, it's not a hideout, it's just a game menu.
That's a weird ass nitpick, what about the things that actually matter like gunplay, map design, gunfights? I know Im playing a game I could care less about immersion, gameplay over everything.

Factory is the only one that has ambient story follow up via a movie combination. Story just needs more backing. Currently your just given quests to murder and loot for rich clowns lol
I'm not talking about the story, I don't give a flying fuck about Tarkov's story. I've sunk hundreds of hours in Contract Wars, I was there when Nikita (back then his name was tfender) used to milk players for potential Tarkov stories/quests/lore by organizing BEAR vs USEC story competitions in Kongregate forums. I died in the lumber camp in the Woods extension thousands of times before Tarkov was even a glimmer in the devs' eyes. Back then, when I was a 20 year old dude, it was truly all about gunplay, map design and competition. Now, after 15 years (and 1700 hours in Tarkov), I am more fascinated by the physical details and the overall feeling of the maps. Remove all the guns and the scavs and quests and everything from the game and I'll probably add another 500 hours just walking around in the rainy shoreline sunsets. There are not many other games like this. Not sure if I'd classify this under 'beauty over brains' but I don't think Tarkov combat is based on brains. It's more about who's prepared better and that gets stale quick.
Just remember Airwing marine thinks bots are only added to make matching faster. According to him 64 players is to hard to fill a lobby without bots lol .
The game has so many amazing features AND is greatly optimised for me personally and I am someone who has a 700€ Pc and it works amazing no crashing stuttering and good ping all the time. It has amazing potential and the devs actually care about the players and the feedback from what I have seen on the discord I’m glad it exists and I hope they keep improving the game.
Haven't watched the entire video yet but I'm guessing I'll agree with most, if not all of it. Tried the BF mode a little and it was surprisingly fun. Also tried the extraction mode but it never peeked my interest. Not a fan of the whole ability thing. Also I felt like there was no loss if you died. I just didn't care when I died. Also it's a little too CoDish for my taste. Good alternative for DMZ(if its still a thing?) players or people who want a more arcady EFT. Will definitely play the BF mode when the game launches.
I have a hard time imagining that this game is going to blow up but it's certainly what I'm looking for. The Demo runs well and the gunplay is pretty good. The TTK is quick even with armor but that's good or bad.
Just turn in fill and it works fine as long as you are playing the modes that require 100k gear score which is honestly not that much. Normal lobbies will give you the worst teammates imaginable.
The main problem I see with this game is that it looks very generic, fake camos, weird textures and models. Maps that put you literally nowhere in the world, everything looks very out of place. Dunno if its me but I just felt bored by the game just watching your streams.
I played for two days, it looks really nice on the surface, but the gameplay does get hollow, the battlefield mode just felt like a demo of 2042. I appreciate it the ease of access for kits. But outside of a lot of quality of life features, it's just a cod/bf clone trying to ride on having an extraction mode that everyone wanted from DMZ.
I play solo perfectly fine, like you said all you have to do is shoot when they go down. Genuinely could care less about immersion, I know Im playing a game, the gameplay is fun and thats what matters the most. Tarkov is not fun but I acctually have fun on Delta Forces extraction mode.
Yesterday Saturday I kept killing 3 man teams every match but they had the same kits now I know they were AI. I thought it was weird but I thought maybe it was a bunch of dad's playing on little tv's. Nope just bots. I'm glad I didn't ruin there games now that I think about it.
They should lower the recoil, cause this isnt belivebal for Gunowners at all, next to this cut the hopping out, cut the slides make the gun feel heavy but accurate Ww3 did it and its great
havent seen player bots in 3 days now. and delta force have been pretty open about them. i thnk its understandaple that they have been there in testing cause no one wants to wait 10 minutes for a game
The ai boss is like aimbot had a baby with artificial intelligence and made the boss. Dude fired 3 shots hit both my arms and 1 in the head. In like 1 second.
I love the game but the fact that you are forced into a trio is a dealbreaker for me. You get 3 randoms that have varied quest progression so you ping your quest on the map and nobody gives a flying fuck. You are either forced to stay with your team, or you can go alone. Then the 2 people who play together will stay start flaming you because you left them but you just wanted to do your quests. I hope they add a Solo Q.
Idk for sure, but I’m willing to bet they’re both Chinese/tencent games. The majority of the Chinese developed games (Tencent most likely being involved in some way in each) I’ve played have had very similar ui elements to other Chinese games of the same genre. You know, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it 🤷♂️

The operator focus, the squad focus, and the bots are such massive turnoffs for me. Im only recently a Tarkov fan and I want more realistic...or i guess the better term is "grounded" gameplay. I hate the idea of these super abilities like seeing enemies through walls and such. its so stupid and pulls me out of the immersion
There are some things in this game that are pretty stupid and I don't know why anyone should think that's "good"? If you can/should/may ALWAYS take the cheapest price in the loadout builder, why does the game have different prices for items at all? The whole point of the system in EFT is that you learn certain things, including flea market prices and manually selecting items. So it's unnecessary to have different prices when there's an automatic function to always get the cheapest price. I myself have learned a lot about weapons, weapon parts, ammunition and equipment through Tarkov and have dealt with it outside of it. If all of this was thrown at me like that, it wouldn't be worth a second look. What isn't mentioned is why you should actually loot? Just to sell the things and use the money to buy new equipment for the raid...which can be done automatically and there's no reason not to do it automatically? That's a catch-22, isn't it?! In Tarkov you can use it to build a hideout and make some things (that aren't available otherwise). The comparison with Tarkov is completely flawed. And when I saw Delta Force videos, I immediately thought of ABI. The same graphics, the same sounds, the same menu and the same "loot system". Except that ABI is a bit slower than Delta Force. Congratulations to the developers for marketing the same game twice by leaving out some QoL. But both times it's just a generic shooter that no one will be talking about in 2-3 years.

To me, this 100% feels like a “console” extraction shooter anyway. Everything is simplified just enough to make it easy to get into as a newcomer to the genre, while not being as simple as DMZ. Oh, and cause of the inclusion of the other game modes ofc.
I like the fact that Delta Force is its own game ... Not trying to copy EFT or Arena Breakout.... It has operators which is exclusive for itself. It is not going to be for everyone who came up from EFT, but will teke the part of the playerbase....

The BF game mode is authentically really good and a great intermediate experience while players wait for the next BF game. The game mode I cover in this video is not the best. The quality of life stuff in the menus is the best part IMO.

ABI also has the loadout editor on match start, but iirc DF has an option to save up to five pre-defined.

didnt play the extraction mode but the battlefield type modes were boring imo. the maps were small and kinda suck

you can uncheck squad fill when you matchmake. lots of people go in as only solo or duo, you'll just be potentially fighting other squads

Everything is simplified just enough to make it easy to get into as a newcomer to the genre, while not being as simple as DMZ.

I like the fact that Delta Force is its own game ... Not trying to copy EFT or Arena Breakout.... It has operators which is exclusive for itself. It is not going to be for everyone who came up from EFT, but will teke the part of the playerbase....

Game would be ok if there were no bots in havoc.. They absolutely ruined the game!!!.. Bots with Aim bots in multiplayer makes the game suck badly. If they put them in main release they can sick my nob, I'll wait for Battlefield instead.

I don't believe that Tarkov is "easily playable solo" compared to this game. On Delta Force I AM THE CHAD. Delta Force is like tarkov on easy mode. So much fun, feels like pubstomping in the cod 4 - mw2 days.

The game is so boring...i feel you just see it everywhere because of paychecks from china. Abi was kinda meh already but this feels like Abi for Fortnite players.
The BF game mode is authentically really good and a great intermediate experience while players wait for the next BF game. The game mode I cover in this video is not the best. The quality of life stuff in the menus is the best part IMO.
