Cocoyam leaves come from the Taro root plant. Although Americans are not familiar with these cocoyam leaves, most familiar with Polynesian culture, have heard of the famous Polynesian food called "Poi" aka Taro root. But poi is the root part of the taro root plant. We see you using it's leaves or cocoyam leaves. Of course the leaves would be packed with nutrients vs a root. It is nice to see another use for this plant. Ty for sharing and teaching us Diasporeans here in the USA our rich cultural traditions, we do appreciate learning from our cousins ! 🤗⚘️❤😇🥳
Cocoyam leaves come from cocoyam not taro leaves. There is a difference. These plants are very common in our African Countries. Spinach can replace the cocoyam 🙏🏽

Im sure its the best soup ever im the world. But it looks disgusting so im never trying it ever.
Using the word disgusting means you don’t respect yourself. Nobody cares about you and no one is forcing you to try it
