We're at Thunder Canyon Campground right now and it's everything John and Mercedes have said it is and more. We have a beautiful site, it has been so relaxing to be here. Everyone has been so friendly (and helpful when the AC went out on our rental Class C in 98 degree weather!). We'll definitely be back. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality! :)

I think you have really hit on a unique and wonderful idea for a campground, there is nothing else like it anywhere! In many cases replacing the thermocouple (cheap) on old gas appliances will bring them back to life. Older mechanical equipment was built to last almost forever. The new mass-produced devices....appliances, cars, electronics....5 to 10 years max life.
The electronic circuit boards that go into every device will often fail within a few years due to latent material defects and low quality standards in "country of origin" production facilities such as those in China.
We just did our first breakfast this morning and the griddle struggled….we need more help
Have watched you from the beginning. Love to see how you have grown through this project. Looking forward to see the adventures to come. We are home for the summer due to the great hail storm on May 1, 2022 in Amarillo Tx repairing things. 5th wheel goes in mid August for a new roof. Looking forward to some travel in the fall.

unfortunately, as a founder, I could not do more than fund the project. Due to family issues over this last year we could not visit the campground. I'm hope that sometime in the next few months we may be able to make the trip. Campgound looks amazing. Keep up the good work. Hope to meet in person some day soon.

Howdy gang. I first want to say, that my time at Thunder Canyon last week was great. Nugget and I had fun and we met some really nice folks both in the camp ground and also in Ider. I was there during the Preparation H event and have to say I was in tears watching this vid. Best of luck moving forward and hope Skippy heals fast. I WILL be returning to Thunder Canyon. I agree with John, this should be a State Park.

Well, I have been following you, folks, for years and I am disappointed. You say over and over how great this place is and now you are wanting to pass it to others and head to another. Have you considered stopping "chasing something better" and making that place your home? It is a ton of work and if you let others "take care" it will not be your dream. What would happen if something happened to one of you and you are trying to flip the next campground. I think you are tired because it is too much work. I am speaking from experience by doing work for farm, getting bigger farm because "the first was not enough" and I wore myself plum out and I had to sell my dream and pretty much cannot do physical labor. All because I constantly strove for more and better and did not enjoy it once I got there. But, I am sure you won't agree and can't see it. It's your life.

What a great and wonderful idea to use undeveloped land to make more campgrounds for people to go to and learn about RVs before they spend thousands of dollars on purchasing an RV. The RV Odd Squad community sounds like ABSOLUTELY the MOST GENEROUS and KINDEST PEOPLE EVER! God is AWESOME!
I would love to see some vegetable garden boxes. This is perfect to grow there and to help folks learn to grow their own vegetables. With the world changing people need to go back to the core and learn what it is like to hunt, grow and forage for their food.

I would like to rent your RV or cabin. My husband will not get a camper so I want to experience Thunder Canyon. I have followed you all the way back when you started your You Tube channel and love everything you both stand for. I will buy a membership to Thunder Canyon as long as you do not need to be an RVer to have one. John I was a Brownie then Girl Scout all the way up to a Cadet. As a mother of 2 boys I became a Cub Scout leader., so I know very well your dedication to God, family and country. That's great Wish I could be there with you all on the 4th. Unfortunately I had to put my RV life on hold due to 5 Vertebrae compression fractures in 2021, I am so blessed it happened before I got on the road. God was saying not now, and I am so glad He did before I left home which I was going to do the week after it happened.

So I’m guessing what you guys call the fellowship hall is where The Jones had a restaurant for the public for a brief time. Their Thunder Burger was bigger than a mule’s head! Great memories there as a kid and teenager. It’s jason from Howard’s that night

turning Thunder Canyon around from what it was to what it is now definitely required someone with contractor experience and knowledge of many of the same skills needed for commercial/home building. Maintaining the campground is important too but can be done at a slower pace. Looking forward to your next Campground renewal project starting.
