Good to see you back, Mengy. I just turned 69 and still riding. I sold the Victory Vision and bought a BMW R1200 GSA. Wanted to go lighter and get a bike that is good on rough pavement and unpaved road. It is also faster than The Flash. I will be in PA for a friend's Memorial service in Bucks County around May 24th. I plan to ride the Beemer out there and visit some other friends. Just do what you like doing. We will be here.
All Right! Mengy cralled out now spring is hear. I've loving these great weather days. If its not fun its not worth doing. For me its just for fun, and if it wasnt I would stop. Ride Safe!
Thanks for your comment love, @@MotoMengy! Haha, as for what you said about spring, that can't really happen. The seasons aren't something that can just move in and out quickly like that.
Moto Mengy madness is back!! Life is good. More in 24! More rides for enjoyment. Willy nilly. Take a ride to Ambridge or Sewickley. Collect a bunch of ride experiences and patch them all in. Go monthly if you feel like it. Welcome back!
I am Glad I found your channel. Wife and I are going to be in your neck of the woods mid April this year at French Creek State Park and am planning two rides on our 21 Wing Tour Manual based on your Vids. Love that you put the roads you are on! Keep up the great work!
Personally, it's the authenticity of the "old youtube" before everyone started treating it as a business and it became all overly edited, produced, and scripted. I enjoyed the randomness. It made me feel more connected to the creators. Many of the full time youtubers I unsubbed as it felt less authentic and too serious to me. I usually look through my sub feed, click watch later than as I have time I go through it. The date and time isn't a concern.
I agree, I prefer the more authentic motovloggers over the "commercialized" motovloggers. I think its why I find myself watching the smaller motovlogging channels over the large ones.
I am right there with you. I have no set schedule very little subscribers, but I appreciate each and every one of them. Couldn’t envision getting a thousand. Maybe when I retire I would take this serious but at this point I am just Winging it. No Pun intended. Doing this have brought me out of my comfort zone and force me to learn some new things and meet some incredibly passionate people. I post when I can but don’t listen to me. I am a newbie with a smaller channel than yours. Welcome back and ride safe.
Hey buddy, welcome back! It sounds like you're not totally clear on what you want to get out of RUclips man. You really need to be clear on that first. Once you get clear on that, you'll figure out the rest. Over the past 6 months I've only put up 9 new videos. I'm averaging one every 3 weeks. But I'm taking my time on those videos, and those 9 videos brought in 1,500 new subscribers, while my previous 150+ videos only brought in 2,700 new subscribers. Sometimes frequent uploading is the right way, sometimes it isn't. Look at the podcast Dan Carlin's Hardcore History... Sometimes we wait a year or more between episodes... but it's still one of the top 100 topcasts of all time. Dan might only put out one video a year but he will put hundreds and hundreds of hours into making a phenomenally researched, well detailed retelling of a history lesson, with many poignant questions and twists and turns that take you on mental and emotional rollercoaster ride. On the flip side, you can see that frequency is definitely working for others, like Joe Rogan, which is one of the most popular podcasts of all time, but takes an entirely different approach. Which route should you take? That depends entirely on you. PS: Heard you mention @roadreality in your video. I left some thoughts on John's most recent video, I think it's called "Would you still watch if..." or something like that. Might be worth taking a peak at the comments on that video. Ride safe, and glad you're back on two wheels.
Thanks YM, good advice! I'm pretty sure I mostly want to film Road Spotlights mixed with random other motorcycle content. I'll never be a "big" channel like that but meh, I'm just doing it for the fun of it! 😎
I only upload videos when I feel like it because it is just a hobby for me too. I enjoy watching Her Two Wheels channel and she has earned the 186k subs. However, I'm surprised that you don't have that many subs because your channel is very good.
Great to see you back at it, Mengy! I guess I can slow down, now that you're back - the 3/week schedule is BRUTAL! :D FWIW, the "pros" say to miss your schedule if the end product wouldn't be up to your standards - don't just put out content to put out content. "Having more fun at it" is the goal, man :D I'm always trying to have fun at it - and I think that's why I haven't burned out ;) [I take this YT thing too seriously, but not when I'm filming] I'll be paying attention to see how the "willy-nilly" schedule works for you. I've been at 3/week on M/W/F for over 2 years now... so it'll be good to see someone else's experience. HI, MENGY! "Anything you want". There, I said it! PS: If you haven't been watching motovlogs... I, um, have a few you should try and catch up on, LOL...
Welcome back to the party! We missed you! Talking about adding all of the # and tags is hard to specially making the cool thumbnail. It’s kind of a pain in the butt. Did it feel weird jumping back on your bike? For me, that first turn out of the driveway felt weird but other than that, it felt normal.
Actually no, it felt good back on the bike, like I'd hardly taken a break at all. But then I've been riding for 40 years so the muscle memory is probably just ingrained into me by this point! 😁
I'm with you, my videos are a hobby and a pass time.... I make them for fun and when the spirit moves me. This is probably why my channel doesn't grow but I don't care and I definitely don't want making videos to ever become something I "have to do" or lose sleep over 😐 In fact, if this hobby ever becomes not fun, I'll stop ,,,, I like to watch channels where the creators are "themselves" and show genuine enthusiasm for motorcycling(like yours 😉 ) ..I don't care about a posting schedule.. Btw; I can't wait to get the Goldwing out. I've been riding off-road and dual-sport over the winter but I'm anxious to start laying down some miles.
@@MotoMengy most definitely, I'm not talking crap. Honda goldwing is the best and most comfortable motorcycle you can buy. But at some point you're just riding a two wheel car. And that doesn't make sense to me. But that's specifically my own opinion and everyone has their own taste.
Glad to see you back with the Moto Mengy energy in your voice. The route indicated in the upper left corner 👍
Thanks Robert!
YAY!!!! I move to Wind Gap PA on Thursday. So excited. Great to see you back sir.
Wind Gap, very nice! There is great riding up around there, particularly over around the Jim Thorpe area.
Nice to see you again. I enjoy your channel.
Thank you very much!

Can't blame you for the new bike, my brother has a Pan America and loves its versatility.
Happy to See you back

Yep I crawled out from the rock I was under! 😂
Great to see you out. I do the motovlog like telling someone about a good movie or restaurant. Just fun.
Thanks Bob!
Great to see a vid from you, nothing wrong with taking a break.
Thanks Hippo!
"Spring is here, baby!"
In a few days after you posted this, it got here... in fact, just _today_ as I post this (March 20)!
Right after I said this Spring left and hasn't come back yet. Maybe I spooked it? 😬

French Creek is a lovely place, many great roads to ride around that area!
Even with the windscreen way up, I’m amazed with the little wind interference there is with the open faced helmet. By the way, welcome back!
Thanks Dogbone!
nice to see you back out. I was thinking of the old 1k club over the weekend. I'm probably going to do a video about it next time I can get out.

Beautiful day, crisp video and happy attitude on the Goldwing. All good. Let's hope for lots of good riding weather in a week or two.

@@MotoMengy ....Off road is the most fun we can have on a motorcycle 😁Plus, off-road skills make better riders...
💭 ARE YOU PLANNING ON GOING ON ANY ADVENTURES THIS SUMMER ❓💭❓
Yep! Have a few destinations on the list, haven't chosen which ones yet though...
i was out for 6 years now i'm back with a lay back persona i out video when i can
Six years is quite the break, welcome back!
The older (wiser?) I got less I would ride in cold or go to trouble digging the bike out for just a short ride.
I think I ride less now as I got older too. Not sure I like that, but I think its a reality. 😞
One cannot account for why some people have lots of followers and others have fewer.
I think it's a mixture of hard work and random luck. Some motovloggers have both and some like myself have neither! 😁
I don't like motorcycles SUVs
I'm not even sure what that means? 🤔
@@MotoMengy baggers are the equivalent to SUVs.
Ah, okay@@Sir_nick88 I see what you were saying now. I don't think a Goldwing is the same as a Honda Pilot but hey, to each their own! 😎
