Lemme tell u, I have Realme U1 which was launched in November 2018 when COS 6 and Android 9 was out, U1 launched with COS 5 and A8; and Realme said that they will provide 2 updates, they gave 1 update and never gave the second saying they won't.
Also they brought functionality of Bootloader Unlocking with U1 but after saying that they won't give another update, they even tried to stop Bootloader Unlocking with updates; not to mention many devices got bricked due to that.
Ask Realme 1 and U1 users the pain.
macro camera is very useful for industrial application to get the part number of items like bearings, seals, and many other parts

tbh, as an engineer i could really use that microscope lens cam. i do a lot of electronics failure analysis. and most of my time is taking shots under a microscope. this will REALLY come in handy for me.
QHD 120hz + 5000mah at under 190gms...wow...hope the software and cameras are good enough. If so this is the phone to get in 2022.

I find this phone very interesting.
I bought Realme X2 Pro on the very first day when it launched in France. I am an extremely happy realme customer.
Then after sometime, bought ROG phone 3 (gaming phone) because I started playing PUBG. 🤣
I thought, I will not buy any phone for next few years coz both phones are still in perfect condition and runs buttery smooth. But man, this gt 2 Pro seems very intriguing. I may as well go for it when it launches here again.
Software: honestly, I've found my X2 pro's software without any problem. And their timely update is also a plus point.

For me, it's either telephoto or nothing else. Would have loved a smaller (narrower and vertically smaller) camera bump at the expense of the already worthless 3MP camera.

Realme's update situation is a mess. I got the realme 1 with Android 8 it got just one Android update & just 2 year of security patches. I suggest a friend to buy realme XT same 1 Android update. I mean Samsung is giving 4 years of security patches & 2 Android update minimum even on m series. Don't think I will ever suggest realme to anyone ever again.
I am using realme x2 and it got 2 major android updates and 2 years of security updates. Realme xt aand x2 are basically the same device only diff is the chipset and the front camera.
@@castielseram9028 Yeah but just 2 years of security patches is just unacceptable. Android Version updates are not a big deal now a days as all the features are already present in current versions but you need security patches to keep using the phone. Even Xaiomi with their bugui is doing so much better in terms of security updates.

I actually think Macro lenses are important, especially since I used the Redmi Note 9 Pro, but that was a 5 MP effort. At 2 or 3 MP, it just doesn't feel right, and the images aren't really worth sharing on social media or websites. Every brand should keep 5 MP as the minimum resolution for macro sensors.

The microscope lens is very useful for a physician like me. It actually can help investigate skin lesions.

Using gt neo 2.highly satisfied with that device. Haptic feedback and all basics are done really great. Only thing i hate is 2mp macro, now the next one 3mp microscope.🤦 Battery backup is excellant on gt neo 2. Sometimes getting close to 9hour sot. Always above 8hour. Thats insane for a sd 870 device with haptic feed back and always on display turned on. And next level fast charging. 20 to 100 takes only 30minutes😆🥳. Earlier i used to hate realme on launching so many devices but on gt neo 2 , i like it. Ui is also decent and feels more close to stock if we use google photos, files app etc. Software update is not quick. Thats a negative.still on android 11. No stable 12 released.

Is it worth to buy s22 ultra for more then twice the money over GT2 pro?
I don't use the camera much so it is not my priority. I just want to have a good overall experience with the device. Lag free and bug free software and no hangups while using the device.
I consume lots of media on my device so screen is my first priority. The screens of both devices look at par in videos. Please suggest which has a better screen.
Design wise i am ok with both.
All in all just for screen and software efficiency is it worth to spend twice the amount on samsung, as from what i have seen it looks like even color os is very good?
Currently i am using iqoo7 which is a snappy device with ok ok software and terrible display.

Realme ui has a performance mode under settings. Use it to get higher scores in benchmarks. It's in auto mode to avoid severe thermal throttling
It would great if the long term detailed review also covers the battery drain due to the 'more powerful' chip(sd gen1)..sd 888 was pretty bad in thermal performance and lot of phones suffered from it ( Op 9, Samsung S 21 series,etc.,)..in the end everyone uses a 'mobile' phone so that is convenient to carry,doesnt drain every few hours and lets you stay connected..

Hey ash, your video presentation has improved a lot since last 2 years or so. Now, they are much more engrossing and thrilling. Instead of regular reviewing every bit of phone details, if you could feature the interesting parts of it, and the drawbacks of it. These should be given more priority because that's how every phone's content will be unique. All the spes should be mentioned, but the common specs like gorilla glass, etc are better displayed in just text....rather than spending time speaking lines about it.
Anyways, i liked the video overall, keep growing ash. You deserve the success !!

I've had realme x, X2 & own X2 Pro and i finally stopped buying realme phone. I dont mind realme UI (it's still better than MIUI) the real problem with realme is that the performance and the camera quality drops with each update as soon as the next phone launches.
Agree. Plus realme phones are not readable on many car audio USB systems
@@pranjal70 i haven't checked that. Luckily my phone still has 3.5mm audio jack. ( One of the things influenced my decision when i chose X2 pro over OnePlus 7t. 50w charger was another 😜)
@@mohammedtabrez9703 same here but my car audio doesn't have bluetooth. The 3.5 mm jack required you to change songs on phone screen and while driving that's a huge distraction
@@pranjal70 Yes at times you're forced to listen to songs which you normally would skip at the 3rd second :D however the perk being the audio quality on 3.5mm which you loose on bluetooth.

hey man, long time viewer and had a suggestion, care to make dedicated video for models which specifically has a micro sd slot? headphone jacks removal can't be helped but expandable memorys removal is outrageous considering 256gb cards are dirt cheap now.

I like wat realme is doing with premium mid range and flagships. But I still don't like the realme me ui much. I am recently seeing ads in file manager. While something's have been implemented well. It comes with stock Androids phone app and messaging app which I don't seem to like . There is a glitch with notifications quite often. Not sure if it's only with me. Overall I have used couple of Chinese phones lately. And felt Samsung's one ui the best
