great work.using the xiaomi cn variant with eu rom Miui stable 13.0.28 gets better battery,no missed notification. I think Miui should lean how eu developers optimize
at 5:40 I respect your preference and it may look natural in the middle but actually the right side is a practical design because when you gaming, you'll cover that camera with your left thumb so it becomes unnoticeable
From looking at the 3D mark test. Seems like the Global Mi12 Pro is tuned better. The Peak score is lower, but more consistent. The RealMe's peak score is higher, but it throttled and ended up slower overall. That's good that Xiaomi realised their mistake. They should fix the Chinese variant though.
Hi techtablets, is realme gt 2 Pro, flagship killer of 2022 still worth buying is 2024. If not which budget/midrange phone in 2024 is better than it in terms of functionality, camera and price. Counting on your response to make a purchase. I would be taking more pictures and videos with the new phone i buy thou. Thank you.
Do enjoy your video comparisons. Watching your review on the Xiaomi 10T Pro convinced me to get it back in 2020. This phone is almost perfect. I'm surprised by the battery standby drain on this 12 you're reviewing. On my 10T Pro over night it's minimal at only a few %. Maybe around 8%. This is the longest I've kept a phone. The audio on your 12 seem disappointing too when compared to my 10T Pro.
Also Xiaomi 10T Pro user, looking for a replacement, the Display is the worst I ever used for my eyes. I have it for almost one year, after 1-2 months I thought I can use it but now I noticed that my eyes are loosing focus when using it. I am afraid I ruined my eyes because of it. And it is strange because LCD should be better than Amoled for eyes.
Xiaomi kind of shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to sound because I noticed that they actually improve the sound of their phones with updates which means they aren't doing the best when out of the box when reviewers check them. The sound of Redmi Note 10 Pro has became significantly more powerful with latest updates.
Used xiaomi for 8years now. The only pro on xiaomi is video recording and night photos with the new awesome sensor. Ordered myself the gt2 pro now because of better battery life, good cameras, no stupid skin softening and the cherry on top, better ui. Lets see about the 3 year android upgrades and 4 years of security patches from realme. Realme is the new xiaomi to me as xiaomi priced itself over apple and on samsung level, yet they are neither of both. Switzerland prices: iphone 13 pro max 1000chf Samsung galaxy s22+ 1079chf Xiaomi 1089chf Oppo find x5 pro 1254chf (totaly overpriced) Realme gt 2 pro 256gb version 830chf, 128gb version 730chf
Damn, BBK/Realme isn't messing around anymore. The GT2 Pro is literally a flagship through and through, but without the four digit price tag. How on Earth did they pull it off? I don't know but I hope Realme sets a trend for others to follow. Oh and Xiaomi isn't having the best year so far.
Average camera and no wireless charging. They are small sacrifices for many people but you have to give up something. I want wireless charging to upgrade from Mix 2s and still haven't found a good replacement yet.
@@Woodzta not even 10% people use wireless charging, and the camera on Realme GT 2 Pro is by no means an average camera, you literally have to be very blind to buy an IPhone or finding an excuse to buy other expensive options, when there's Realme GT 2 Pro available.
@@agnidiptahomroy8656 Did you just randomly pull a number out of your head, or do you have a source on the demographics of people who own phones that are capable of wireless charging but are/aren't using it? @@agnidiptahomroy8656 I don't really care about what percentage uses it or who doesn't. I'm talking about the price difference and compromises. If the Realme GT2 Pro did have wireless charging and a better camera, it would be considerably more expensive.
Thanks techtablets, Confirming my purchase a couple of weeks ago, and even that my GT2PRO is the Chinesse version, with 12 GB RAM it is a monster and nothing to be concern, since it let me download Play Store and run everything like if it was the Global one. Great review again!! Thanks a lot for such a detailed video. A quick question, I have a Mi 11 Ultra and in case if you have compared GT 2 pro and Mi 11 Ultra side by side, which one would you pick purely one for its display and second for it's camera? I am considering getting the GT 2 pro because the Mi 11 Ultra is a bit too heavy for me but not sure if the GT 2 pro can live up to the level of Mi 11 Ultras display and cameras. Please let me know your opinion. Thanks again :)
As I know Xiaomi released also a xiaomi 12 pro version with Mediatek dimensity 9000 and 5000 mah battery and everything else about the model is the same... It would be very interesting to see a review on that, as the Mediatek dimensity 9000 thousand is a very good chip similar to snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and gives better performance and better battery life...
I clicked like as soon as you said you like flat screens not curved. According to me, curved screens are stupid and have many disadvantages. Flat screens are better and sensible.
when watching any of your video first I give the like, then I watch. You always do an amazing job. The best RUclipsr for reviews by far, following you for many years. I am glad you are still here.
I think these are both nice phones. But considering its 2022 now, their performance has not improved as much as I required. I just bought a one plus 8 pro, which is at half the price of these two phones. It is much lighter, cooler, and it has the same screen quality, very responsive with any kind of tasks, better screen hour, better sound quality, and most noticeably better camera performance. The only disadvantage is a slower charging speed at about an hour from 0-100%. I don't think the 888/8gen1's extra computing power matters in any way. And considering they are at a much higher price buying the new flagships is not a good idea.
Performance of sd8 gen 1 is definitely better than 888 and performance has improved alot the only thing mainly to consider is camera performance and if you are not a gamer then you wouldn't find much difference

I would also like to see a comparison between this realme and oppo s X5 pro...nice to see you again Keep up the good work
I would pick realme gt 2 and used the savings on a fantastic holiday. Next I might trade it in ,if the new technology phones are worth it. Well Teslar has been making noise behind the scenes
I am now rocking my Realme GT2... Watchout for the former CEO of one plus and their new device, would it be the ultimate flagship killer like oneplus one? 🤔

great work.using the xiaomi cn variant with eu rom Miui stable 13.0.28 gets better battery,no missed notification.
99,6%👌🏻
Camera seems much better on Xiaomi than on Realme. The colour saturation and science on the Xiaomi
12:32 I noticed that the water in gt 2 pro is blue and in xiaomi 12 pro not blue how?
Great comparison as always. BBK>Xiaomi. Keep it up Chris!
Finally!! Thanks techtablets
You're welcome. Couldn't post it before due to the embargo o the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Even just because of software and battery endurance GT2 Pro is an easy choice.
Overall GT2 pro wins with the exception of night photo, hopefully can be addressed by software udates.
No lol. Xiaomi way better at night
I have watched you like 4-5 years ago and you're still making awesome videos, thank you!
Wow, thanks for watching my videos for so long!
Thank you.
Just wanted to thank you for pushing me over the fence to purchase the Realme GT2 Pro. Can’t wait for it to arrive in about a week!
Hi. How is your battery life/drain on GT 2 pro?
Xiaomi 12 Pro - Realme GT2 Pro 1:3
Great entertainment, Chris 😉👍...
Just wanna say thank you for your reviews and the effort you put in to provide us with the latest releases and comparisons.
My pleasure!
The comparison I've been looking for, thank you so much for this fantastic video 😎
Glad it was helpful!
Great comparison! Where can I get the wallpaper you have on the Realme?
Used xiaomi for 8years now. The only pro on xiaomi is video recording and night photos with the new awesome sensor.
Ordered myself the gt2 pro now because of better battery life, good cameras, no stupid skin softening and the cherry on top, better ui.
Lets see about the 3 year android upgrades and 4 years of security patches from realme. Realme is the new xiaomi to me as xiaomi priced itself over apple and on samsung level, yet they are neither of both.
Switzerland prices: iphone 13 pro max 1000chf
Samsung galaxy s22+ 1079chf
Xiaomi 1089chf
Oppo find x5 pro 1254chf (totaly overpriced)
Realme gt 2 pro 256gb version 830chf, 128gb version 730chf
hows the battery life of gt2pro
I like flat side screen also. So far, the curved edge has been disaster and I hope phone makers dont do it anymore.
Great great job with these two devices.
There is nobody better than you..
From Italy
I personally don't care for wireless charging because I always prefer speed over convenience, but even then I think your statistics are pretty bull.
@@agnidiptahomroy8656 I don't really care about what percentage uses it or who doesn't. I'm talking about the price difference and compromises. If the Realme GT2 Pro did have wireless charging and a better camera, it would be considerably more expensive.
Im goin to buy realme, but damn..xioami 12 pro video is way better in details
Yes better videos and low light on the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
thank you very much. you are the best man in all of effort.
Thanks techtablets, Confirming my purchase a couple of weeks ago, and even that my GT2PRO is the Chinesse version, with 12 GB RAM it is a monster and nothing to be concern, since it let me download Play Store and run everything like if it was the Global one.
Great Job Realme Team! Excellent review Techtablets.
Enjoy! Great phone just needs some improvements to the cameras which I hope will come soon.
I also bought the Chinese version I haven't received my gt2 yet but is there a difference between Chinese and global?
how about the battery life and heating... this is the issue that's preventing me from confirming the order
@@nomad1286 Don't worry about it, no overheating issues with mine. Also try to buy the black one since has Gorilla Glass on the back also. Battery life, OMG, If you see the Tech Chap, he made a battery test and only behind the mighty Iphone 13 Pro Max, was the GT2 PRO; battery champ; and a say not to way behind since with 33 minutes you'll be 100% again with it's 65 W Super Dart Charging; not quite the same with Apple and their 200+ minutes charging ridiculous times... Confirming it, you wont regret it.
@@louiecaro3634 hi, the only thing is chinese bloatware, but you can uninstall them or disable. Have to download the Google playstore and thats it. Runs like a dream.
An interesting thing to point out is that if you go to the settings in the realme you can see that the ui is actually colorOS12, i have not used an oppo device so I have no way to check if its exactly the same but it works great.
When and will you review the Samsung S22 ultra? Can't decide which flagship to get. Torn between Oppo Find x5 pro, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Samsung S22 ultra
Mi 11 Ultra for the cameras and the display the GT2 Pro
@@Techtablets Thank you! I ended up buying the S22 Ultra :)
Yes I would love to see curved screens disappear
Hi there so um was just wondering if you could test out the lenovo legion y700 gaming tablet
For the price I think I will go for GT2 Pro, though I really like the camera setup this time on 12 Pro. Currently using Xiaomi 10T Pro.
10T pro is extremely good in camera. Don't loss it.
when watching any of your video first I give the like, then I watch. You always do an amazing job. The best RUclipsr for reviews by far, following you for many years. I am glad you are still here.
Thank you I’m glad you’re still watching!
Sorry guy but about the screen that NOT the same quality..... the LTPO 2.0 is so much better.
Performance of sd8 gen 1 is definitely better than 888 and performance has improved alot the only thing mainly to consider is camera performance and if you are not a gamer then you wouldn't find much difference
Man 💀 my realme x50 pro has Better camera than my Op 8 pro
And the sound quality man ... I think u hit Ur head or something , i have both old gen realme and oneplus and the realme wins in everything except a Little bit in battery After alot of time but dude ahaha nice joke
Very nice comparison on two very capable phones.... the competition between these two brands goes on with benefits for the consumers...
I also would go for realme, i also like better the selfie at the edge of the display.... I would also like to see a comparison between this realme and oppo s X5 pro...nice to see you again
Keep up the good work
Great review ! Thank you for your effort
Awesome camera comparing as always Chris Sir
Hi Chris, thanks for review! You have next subscriber :) What sound did you use in camera comparison? Trying to find
The GT2 looks better on the front camera but the Xiaomi looks better on the rear camera.
The Realme's chin is also way thinner.
what is that song in the speaker test?
camera is better on xiaomi , but only camera ...everything else on gt2pro...price , display, sound, front camera, baterry
I wish the Realme GT 2 came in a smaller size like the standard xiaomi 12. Anywhere from 5.5-6.4 is a really good sweet spot for phone size imo.
I wish they made them bigger
@no tablets are too big
@no no
Wow didn't think the Speakers are better on the GT2 pro 😋👍🏻
Neither did I it was a shock
great comparison! do u know if xiaomi is gonna fix the what looks like overexposed camera?
Good review Chris! Would you pick the gt2 over the Samsung s22 plus?
I would pick realme gt 2 and used the savings on a fantastic holiday. Next I might trade it in ,if the new technology phones are worth it. Well Teslar has been making noise behind the scenes
I am now rocking my Realme GT2... Watchout for the former CEO of one plus and their new device, would it be the ultimate flagship killer like oneplus one? 🤔
Hello sir thanks for the review, where do I get the wallpaper the one on realme GT 2 pro
Great work, very complete comparison
thanks for such honest review but how about durability and what if gt2 pro contact with sanitizer or other material that might have cause damage please pass comments and opinion about it.
Not sure on that but I think it would be fine. Wouldn’t most people be using a case anyway?
@@Techtablets thanks for the reply, yes of course we'll use case afterall its $650 phone, otherwise if we don't , and how durable it is in comparison to XiaoMi 12 pro, i saw a video test by some ( gupta information systems) from indian youtuber made a bend test, surprisingly it just went like OnePlus 10 pro by jerryrigeverything
Where did you got the wallpaper on the realme gt 2 pro?
It’s one of the live included wallpapers
@@Techtablets Okay, thanks for the response :)
Thank you for a great review! Can you tell pls what is the name of the program that shows battery health?
Antutu
Great conclusion. Thanks Chris!
i dont get it, why doesnt Xiaomi use this video software for their other phones, the vid quality/color came out looking better than realme but the picture still looked better on the realme ... No way I'd drop $1000 on xiaomi
Great comparison by all standards... Couldn't ask for more 💯
Thanks for watching 🤗
Send a direct message right away,I have something for you 🔝🔝🔝
Thanks for the review, although you need to test the antutu for a few times just to test the thermal performance on both of the device.
Well that’s why the 20 minute long 3DMark extreme test is there to test that. It showed the S22 Ultra was fast but then throttled more.
@@Techtablets oh i though it was single time. So it was the stress test. Thank you then haha
It was and it’s very good at reporting exactly how it throttles each phone 😀
Hi mate, absolutely love your reviews. Just one suggestion, can you please go to other places for the camera review, just want to see other parts of your beautiful home town.
It depends on the weatehr and my time. I can't always get out everywhere. But I do try to show bits of the town however it's small there is' only so much I can show. Port, coast, town and main plaza not really much more :)
This phone is a full package. The only downside that keeps me on the fence is the camera. It's not good.
Will the gt2 pro work with MetroPCS? Please help because I want to buy it 😫
thank you i can finally decide which phone that i will buy..
Thankyou for this vid. I really enjoy it. Especially for camera comparison, the down side of realme is no wireless charging and back side build material quality.
Oneplus 9 vs realme gt 2 pleeease
Wich is better ??
Pls does anyone know the app he uses for battery testing. Pls help?
GT2 looks better on the front camera, Xiaomi 12 Pro looks good on the rear camera. Audio was better for GT2 so that will be the overall winner for me, lets see what's in Xiaomi 12 Ultra
Thanks for the review. I owned a Realme X2 Pro for 2 years and loved the hardware of the phone, but the camera was really bad, especially in low light. I've purchased the 12 Pro simply because of the better camera but I'm sad to be leaving Realme.
do you have the same issues in MIUI 13, the random rebooting one? how is the UI experience overall.
I also own a Realme X2 Pro...I can vouch for the camera part but overall it's a great phone & mind you I play pubg alot.switching to MiUi from Realme UI would surely be a downgrade.
@@pranavkolambkar So far so good. The camera is a lot better, but I would still prefer the Realme UI slightly.
@@saubhagya7028 it is a downgrade. Not by much, but MIUI is less easy to use. I only switched phone as my Realme was stolen. Would have been happy with it for another year or so.
@@Donalob Yeah Realme X2 Pro was a crazy offering because it was their first flagship lvl phone. I have also dropped phones like 100 times yet the front glass is flawless. Now I'm waiting for a refined Mediatek 9K phone prolly from Realme or Asus not other Chinese brands. Asus 9z gonna be lit.
Thanks for your opinion♥️
It is so interesting that all tech avoid mention xiaomi signal and connection, it is important for underground and while commuting when you are gaming or watching.
Thanks for watching 🤗
Send a direct message right away,I have something for you 🔝🔝🔝
Yes i agree with this totally. Always lost connection on my phone calls on poco f3. Regretted switching from realme. Now planning to trade in for gt2 pro.
I'll go to GT2 pro 2k flat display all the way and not heavy
In OS sorry to say Realme has good optimization unlike xiaomi's
What app is that battery wear?
bbk phones are generally a little expensive than a xiaomi phone..but the quality of hardware and software from them is a lot better than xiaomi..
Really impressed at you listening to your community and your good work ethic. Kudos
I appreciate that!
The details you provided are unmatched. Thank you 👍
Sir, just for the camera & video quality, which one is better?
Re: camera2 api, does the Realme support all cameras or just the main and front cameras?
bruh, 2api will include all cameras, is just about lib patcher , or some tune on config in gcam
@@aryo2004 Google for "blocks access to auxiliary cameras in third-party camera apps"
@@bprabawabr i dont know what are you talking about, but im tune my gcam(bsg gcam) with my own configs, lib patcher and all camera works 🔥 and you know what ? my ultrawide and macro also work properly with stabilization (eis) and also can 4k( but my 2mp macro can't 4k yeah small resolution). if want to make gcam work properly you must search group of gcam in telegram ( search realme gt 2 pro gcam), they will help you with many kind of configs that can activated ultrawide and another lens
my smartphone is poco x3 pro yaps from xiaomi actually
@@aryo2004 I really don't know why you're commenting here. I'm asking about the GT2 Pro, and I told you to Google to understand the case better. You don't even use a realme or BBK phone. What value do you think you're adding here?
Corner hole punch and flat screen is why picked the GT2P over the Nothing Phone 2 and Oneplus 11.
BEST REVIEW EVER I WATCHED 👍👍👍
Thanks for the review!
Honest review and good job
13:51 - nice OST pick.
About the audio. Was the Realme's audio more detailed? Or was it just louder? And also Realme loses on software support. Just pointing that out.
Both louder and richer which was a surprise.
Xiaomi 12 pro or Motorola x40? I prefer moto x40 but camera and ui makes me think everythink else is super for me. Coming from miui that's why stucked here. Any suggestions?
12 pro @ £1050 in the UK that's apple money, Real me GT2 pro is better in many ways @ £699 , Mi 11 last year had the same screen, speakers as the ultra @ £650 more like the GT pro money. Xiaomi just put in an extra model to hide the fact they moved from a low margin company to thinking they can charge like apple ; )
Xiaomi 12 still has the, by now u can say xioami-typical, proximity issues?
/e: pretty similiar devices but Xiaomi takes the cake in night shooting mode.
not a fan of the 'beauty mode' at 14:51
I have none on mine. Auto brightness works great
Thank you as well , was 50/50 . More 50 for Realme after watched your video :)
Hello. I have a 10 days old GT 2 pro and i have Max of 5 hours of SOT in 13 hours of use. (100 to 0%)i use auto refresh and QHD and AOD is on. How do you have 8 hours of SOT?can you answer and help please?
