Fr. Mike, thank you so much for this sermon. We think we are comforting each other by taking about what someone did to us, but it’s gossiping. Prayers for all.🙏

Confrontation... it has to be done. I agree with you completely Father. When I began communicating directly to those who wronged me, especially those I wronged, I became more at peace. God Bless your words.

The Church should offer training on ."how to confront someone who did you wrong". Many individuals are very well-meant but just don't know how to address a personal issue with someone. Many would rather be non-confrontational and end-up enduring the frustration or the pain than seeing the situation escalate to a state of personal war. They often seek solace in complaining to someone else, which is not the right way to deal with the issue. Other individuals who could also use the same training are those who do confront but in an aggressive, accusatory manner, thus leading indeed to a personal war.

It seems lately that the Lord is really speaking to me in clear and relevant ways. Firstly, he'll say it via the Holy Spirit. And repeat it too. Than I'll hear a sermon, open up the scriptures or open a devotional and sure enough it is exactly what the Holy Spirit was trying to impress in my spirit. It's happening frequently too. So, hmmmm, any surprise that Pastor Mike was Gods mouthpiece? Yes to his comment about not being confrontational. Since I won't get any peace until I do what the Lord commands I do, this is going to be interestingly uncomfortable....

I have no problem with confrontation. I have a problem confronting intellectually dishonest people. If they will not admit it, if they are blinded by bias, it can only be changed supernaturally. So, in these cases, I must persevere with a forgiving heart.

I generally agree in communicating with someone when there's an issue/ problem, but there are some exceptions. Unfortunately, there are UNbalanced people in this world who are UNreasonable and they quickly "fly off the handle." I've dealt with my share. That's just reality. One must use good judgment, commonsense, and choose how to best approach a challenging/difficult person.

But you can end up, not solving the issue, but in a war zone and some people get violent. As a woman, I have to be very careful. Now adressing something with a loved one is different.
