One of the many things I like about your homilies, Father Mike, is when you repeat and reenforce the strong points... the virtues we must remember. I'm 71 and began my reversion at age 64. On the 105th (10/13/2022) anniversary of the "Miracle of the Sun" I had a 6 1/2 hour surgery that was only supposed to take an hour and a half. I am not claiming that anything supernatural happened, but I came out of that surgery as peaceful as I've ever been. And I'm so thankful and give thanks to God every single moment I can.

What The World Needs Now Is Love Sweet Love It's The Only Thing That There's Much Too Little Of: Remember this Song from 1965 Sung by Jackie De Shannon it speaks to Us until today this is what our Humanity should and must learn how to do open up their Hearts and Minds and Love Jesus Christ as He Loves Us and Love One Another!

The reason why people act out in rage or show misery or with the youth behaving rebellious is because we were designed to receive love.
If my family isn’t loving then how am I suppose to know how to show love?
We are the ones who know love (God) are suppose to give them that love they have never experienced.
And remember that misery loves company and the devil will try his hardest to try and take the peace of Christ within you. Misery loves company.
Don’t give in to misery and exchange your love for anger. It isn’t worth it.
It is the most valuable treasure on earth.

Oh my, excellent homily Fr. Mike. I am asking myself this question: how am I to bear fruit, if I have so many wounds, a deficit of being loved all childhood and life, mental illness, many sins on me, no role models, some bitterness and resentment against older parents, lack of support with just about everyone in my surroundings either not practising faith or in their own struggles with faith?

@@MarekcatholicCatholicism is the religion of the cross.
And our crosses can be heavy but God is always there to help you through.
My story is very similar to Joseph’s story where his brothers rejected him.
Do know that God loves the lowly? the broken hearted he is near to help lift you up.
Although I’m alone with my family rejecting me I offer up this heartache to God for their salvation.
      I’ll pray for you. Amen

In my case also, my parents weren’t raised with love. They experienced hardship and a different way of growing up so they did not know how to show love except by providing everything especially the Catholic faith which I’m truly grateful for.

@@JWellsUp One of my parents is emotionally abusive , the other is rather cold. I had a breakdown because it was too much. I only want to deal with my bitterness so that it wouldnt eat me alive and I wouldnt continue my family dysfunction , that it would stop with me. whereas about achieving things for Jesus, I just do what I can, mass on sunday, confessions, daily prayer as for other things I dont have the energy. My goal is to go to mass more times during the week. The battles that are happening inside my head dont make it easy. I can relate to being lowly and broken hearted. however what I am afraid is success . Take care and God bless. its not easy to be rejected by your family. God can heal everything.

@@Marekcatholicwarm greetings from Australia 🦘 You might care to listen to the podcasts of Vickie Smith, a very devout Catholic spiritual healer. She has had a lot of trauma in her life but through the grace of God, has been able to let go and forgive. She has been appearing on Queen of Peace Media. She provides healing during the podcast and also provides teachings so that people can be open to healing.
I hope you find this helpful.
