Great review. I like that you didn't give up on the watch and waited to get the replacement to complete the review. Some reviewers give up at the first misstep and don't complete the task at hand. You are great, GOAT! Best regards
I really appreciate your feedback on this topic, Jorge! 🙏 Authenticity and perseverance are traits I love to role model. Have a great week ahead, my friend! ✌
Thanks for the video!! I purchased a beauty like this not long ago n even though mins n hours got me when setting the time, I still love it for the simple fact that it is different. It has a Swiss Ronda quartz movement n the price is awesome.. is a must have…. Thanks
Super interesting watch! I like it but I'm sure it'll take some time to get my head around the minute/hour track being the opposite way around! The silicone strap would be my preferred option. Great review as always Tim, hope all's well mate 👍
Super interesting indeed! 😁👌 Absolutely - A bit of practice and getting used to it goes a long way with this one. Oh yeah - Absolutely would recommend the Silicone strap 😎🙌 Cheers for weighing in, Rik, I always appreciate your input 🙏
Well worth a look and a review. But personally for me I hate basically every single thing about it. But I’m sure it will find its way into a few collections.
@@channelkerr Interesting suggestion. This would definitely increase the ease of reading the time! 👌 Hahaha, now THAT would be something worth seeing! 😂🙏
@@lukk1789 Thanks for your interest. Since publishing the MR-G build video, I’ve had dozens of people asking me about the parts! Unfortunately it seems that the seller was never able to restock, and the store has since closed down. If you’re a Subscriber, you’ll be notified if the parts ever come back in stock, as I’ll be keeping an eye out for them and will make a new video announcement if so. 👌
Thanks man, it sure is! 👌 Having had it survive a couple of games, I think it should be fine. I'll inevitably end up wearing it to more games in the future - and will update if any issues 😄
I think the “minutes - hours” inversion is intentional and not some kind of design engineering problem. Inside (I would be curious to see it open) there will be something similar to hands or magnetic plates. I assume that the spheres are not made of stainless steel otherwise they would not be magnetic, what are they made of or covered with? Nice review, detailed.
@@deips74 Thanks for your assessment, Fratellini! ✌️ You know, I’d be very curious to find out what it’s like inside too… Perhaps I will crack open the damaged one at some point and take a peek! 👀 Good point, they wouldn’t be magnetic otherwise! Here’s what my search turned up: “Most ball bearings are magnetic but there are options where magnetic bearings are not acceptable. Chrome steel and most stainless steel bearings are magnetic. This will surprise many people in the case of stainless steel but the 440 grade steel used for most stainless steel bearings is very magnetic.”
Very cool watch, I've actually been looking at similar ones for some time. To be honest though, the inverted minutes and hour tracks would really throw me off, which I think would make this more of a novelty watch that you wear occasionally, just for the fun of it, kind of like my all wooden watch. That said, I think I'd still buy it just to have something unique and special to wear on occasion. If you're interested, I'd appreciate a long term update after a few months. I'm curious how the balls and tracks hold up to dirt and grime accumulating after extended use (like the gross soap residue that builds up on the inside of my watch straps). Thanks for the great video. Cheers!
Awesome. 👌 Yeah I can understand your position - I respect that! 🙏 No problem - I'll keep that in mind to provide an update in the future - Maybe as part of a collection update video (Which I am due for soon, though that might be a bit soon for this timepiece) 😉 Thanks for weighing in, and have a great day my friend! ✌
They have some with glass, if you know where to look. Not sure if it is the same brand name, but I have seen them with glass. I am sure it is the cheap mineral glass.
It should be noted that the Eone Bradley has been around for a while. This is an homage to that. I have nothing against homages, but some people prefer to own and support brands the made the original design. And Eone does advertise the Bradley as being able to feel the time by touch. And the Bradley also has the hours and minutes inverted. That post from Reddit is correct. When you look at the hand stack of a watch, the hour hand is on the bottom. So for these watches, they "just" extended the hour hand and shortened the minute hand and stuck magnets on the end of them. It's similar to one hand watches like Luch and Slow. They just extend the hour hand out to the edge.
Thanks for pointing this out, my friend! 🙏 Interesting! I was not aware of this history of the Bradley, or the intricacies of the inner workings. I appreciate your validation of the Reddit comment 👌
Did see on on Amazon and thought what a cool design but the reversal of the hands puts me off. If battery is an issue why not make it rechargeable with a high capacity battery?. Thanks for the honest review.
It's definitely a cool and eye catching design! 👌 People tend to stare at it 😁 The hand reversal does take some getting used to, which slows down your comprehension of the time at first. I'm not sure how much the battery would be impacted if the hands were reversed back, given the extra total distance the balls would travel. It would absolutely be fascinating to find out! No problem, Spike! 🙏 Thanks for weighing in.
Hi Artem, I used to think so too, as "30 meters" certainly makes it sound like it could go 30m underwater without issue! 😅 It turns out this is not the case in terms of WR ratings. To be clear, swimming and showering would require 50m of Water Resistance.
@@artempriadko6974 Would you help me understand this term “ISO Certified”? I didn’t seen this claimed anywhere. Here’s what’s currently listed on the website: “【3ATM Water Resistance】 Our men's magnetic watch has a water resistance depth of 30M (3ATM), suitable for daily use, able to withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. However, it is not suitable for swimming, showering, diving, or snorkeling.”
Cheers for the clarification, Erlkönig! 🙏 I should have been clearer. I'm sure I've heard "Ball Bearing" used to describe the metal balls from within a bearing 😅 I just looked it up, and according to a few online dictionaries it seems the term can be used for either a bearing itself, or one of the steel balls.
