FINALLY taking down my fulani goddess twists after 4 weeks! This really just became my absolute favorite protective style lol but it's about time to bring these curls back!

Pro Tip: Life gets better with every decade! I dreaded turning 30! I dreaded turning 40! I was low-key depressed turning 50. But 50 has been the best decade!
I feel strange saying 50 has been the best decade considering it was a decade of caregiving then losing both my parents…but God has blessed me with a great life.
A girlfriend I’ve been friends with since we were 12, asked if I could go back to any age, what age would it be. I immediately answered that I would chose NOW… age 57.
It was in that moment that I realized I’m happy with my life. I’ve developed a true relationship with God. I’ve developed a true relationship with myself. I have the best job of my entire career and I’m excited to start each workday. I paid off my house. I remodeled my house from top to bottom, wall to wall. I have three amazing fur babies. And I have friends who have become family. I start each day with a prayer of gratitude and I am walking in full appreciation.

I have never seen hair taken out of a braided style….so that part of this vlog was a real eye opener for me. I learned a LOT just watching the process. The amount of hair that was shed looked like a normal amount for 4 weeks (based on my personal shedding). But, I would never have been as calm about seeing it in one big bunch the way you were!!! Your curls looked great but I really learned more about the kind of extra care that coming out of braids requires. I just put my hair in twists (I think they would be considered sort of mini-twists) and I plan to keep this way for 2 full weeks. I even put some of those little silver band decorations on several of the twists so that I can go without a head wrap or cap. I am able to wear the twists “out” this year bec I’ve had great growth….but, I’ll get a great mask and protein treatment ready for when I take them out. Thanks for this vlog!!!! I really learned so much!!! ❤️
