Hi, my name is Sharon. I am a Jamaican living in Toronto. I just discovered your channel and binge watched all videos. What a BLESSED family. Jenny and Cesar you inspire me. You ate the Jamaican food well for first timers. We traditionally eat the rice and peas with the oxtail or chicken. The festival with jerk chicken or fried fish. Calaloo is a side or a typical breakfast dish with bread or even the festival. Glad you enjoyed it. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. LOVELY KIDS. Jona is so like my younger son Russell. One Love fam !! 🇯🇲
Happy that you enjoyed our food. Next time you can eat the jerk chicken with the festival at the same time. Try the oxtail with the rice and peas with the gravy along with a bite of the plantain. You'll love it.
The greens he tried is calaloo...but he is correct the same plant in Spanish....So much more delicious foods to try from Jamaica 🇯🇲...Thanks for showcasing a little bit a Jamaica flavor....
The food looks so delicious! I had to look if there’s one close to our house. The closest one is 16 miles in Sacto. Jenn and Gabby look like they’re sisters. Love you guys!
I enjoy watching this video. I oxtail is served with the rice and peas, with some calaloo and fried plantain on the side. Jerked chicken is served with the fertival. Patties are delicious wben served hot or warmed.
Im happy you and your family enjoyed Jamaican food. Going forward, try our national dish which is the ackee and saltfish. Also try our curried goat, manish water, Cow cod soup and other Jamaican dishes. Respectfully. One love ❤️
Thanks for trying our jamaican cuisine,I see you were all enjoying everything to the point where at points some of the siblings eat and talk less. Plantains are different from bananas but hv similarities and grows and reap the same way. Next time put gravey on the rice which tastes better that way. Like your family and I enjoyed the vlogg
You guys should have added the gravy on top of the rice and eat it that way. The festival is good with the jerk chicken and no need to dip the beef patty in any sauce..lol. kinda weird.. Beautiful Family. Stay Blessed
Very nice n polite family.. I am from Jamaica...u guys r making my mouth water.. Next time try the rice n peas with some of the oxtail or chicken gravy!!
All that food looked so good made me so hungry! What has been yalls favorite food so far? To me the jamaican food looked soooooo yummy! Is Filipino food similar to mexican? Great video!
Everything has been so delicious and all the flavors are so different. We’ve loved the Nigerian jollof rice, egusi soup with the pounded yam, red stew and the Jamaican jerk chicken and oxtail. Filipino food and Mexican food are different. We’ll be doing a mukbang on those too. Thank you for watching!
Jamaican food 🇯🇲 is a complete mixture of many cultures, African, Chinese, Indian. Spanish blend...just as our moto of the Island "Out Of Many, One People"....I wish the world could be more like this, just like your beautiful family.
Oxtail is delicious, but greasy. Just like bacon, you should have it in moderation since it’s not exactly nutritious. In NYC, bodegas sell beef patties with cheese and Coco bread. If it’s made right, it’s delicious.
@@missdorr4947 am late, but that person doesn't know what their are taking about, oxtail is not like bacon, and it definitely nutritious and as cartilage and other things
It was a little frustrating watch you eat everything individually instead of enjoying a good plate of everything working together👌🏾...the Oxtail should have its own rich gravey that goes deliciously with the rice n peas with added the sides of callaloo and plantain...the patties are usually ate on their own OR good inbetween a flat roll called coco bread and the jerk chicken would have been nice with rice n peas and the sauce poured over adding moisture to the " dry " rice n peas...and the festivals with its slight sweetness goes well to counteract the spiceness of jerk chicken or any fried fish...its all about getting the balance right then you will really experience a good plate of JA food🤤🤤🤤😋
Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (Jn 3:16" But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17)~
Why did you have to invoke religion here? You have no proof that Jesus or anyone else existed or done any of the things you claimed in the above quotes.
Respectfully... Unless someone is a Native American Taino, Carib, Arawak, (or something along those lines) then their roots aren't really Jamaican. None of the Africans, Indians, Chinese, Syrians, Germans, English, Irish, Spaniards, Dutch, Etc. that are now considered Jamaican, due to there time and history on the Island, really have authentic "Jamaican" Ethnicity, because they all arrived there from other parts of the World. Other than the Natives that were already there, Jamaica is really more of an invention and a geographical location, than an ethnicity. ...This is comment not meant to criticize the video. Just a thought that came to mind while watching.
You are talking crap, that logic goes for everyone on this planet, except for just a few way back in to ancient history, Jamaican and Americans history goes way back before Arawak or others indigenous groups
