I moved from Long Island to Charlotte a year ago. I bought a brand new house for 335k. My house it 3400sq ft. It already went up to around 500k in less then a year. I would never move back to NY. I’m actually now thinking of contacting this lady and building this model. Great video. FYI this house is easily 1.7-2.1 million in NY. Especially in Long Island.
I prefer carpet in the bedrooms, when you first get up you want something soft under your feet

I used to think this as well but now i go for what’s easiest to clean. Carpet is not.
Get a pair of slippers I always wear slippers don’t like my feet touching the floor.

The carpet shouts coziness in the bedroom to me. The home is nice!!
Design trends come and go throughout the years. Carpet in a bedroom is not "weird"! It is a flooring choice plain and simple. Carpet in the bedroom provides warmth to your feet when you get out of bed. If you do have hardwood, it is always stylish and provides warmth to use an appropriately sized area rug in your bedroom.
It really is spacious! And the amount of natural light coming into every space is perfect!! Love it

Only kid 500k?!? I absolutely hate living in NY. This home would easily be $800k-1Million where I am 😩 I really need to consider moving.

Trust me when I say it evens out. I live in Charlotte. Most people can’t afford a 500k home. The average household income is 55k in NC. That being said most people with that income can only afford something between 180k-300k; depending on DTI, down payment, and credit score. I make more than the average household (80k) and I was only pre-approved for 350k.
Same for out here in San Diego! I’ll be leaving this beautiful (overly expensive) state in a few years when my daughter is off to college. I can’t wait to make my money go further!!
@@monicafoster5232 wow and is NY’ERS really think NC is cheap until the ppl from there says it isn’t . I think it’s cheap to us because houses within the 5 boroughs go for like 1 mill and better . They charge at least $1,700-2K just a studio &. That’s no space at all. In NY you don’t have a nice spacious back yard , you get a small box and your neighbor right next to you literally . Unless you go all the way out in the country and build your house there .
@@monicafoster5232 You are 100% correct!! The jackpot is for ppl who transfer here and get to keep the northern income. Otherwise, it pretty much balances out cost of living vs wages.

The jack and Jill bath , needs a tub/shower combo. Master bath, should have a deeper tub for soaking and relaxing .But, overall a wonderful home.

Yes, when you Really cook, not just heat up food, the spices, onions, and other scents do get trapoed in the cloth furniture and draperies

@@cb.1212 I have been a conservative for most of my life and I'm very aware of how liberal politics played a large part in the downfall of CA and now the US. I can't say everyone from CA thinks the same though. The media does make it look like CA is only liberal though, but if you go the more southern areas like Orange County the majority there is conservative... In fact there actually more conservatives in just those areas of CA than there are in some states altogether. I get why most people hate us, but all of us definitely don't want to California up other states we just happened to get stuck here and we just want leave and be in better place.
