You don’t have a mute button? Only reason I watched it is because my mom lives down there. I had no idea where he was or going. At least the news reporter gave the names of hiways and landmarks. I use the mute button and turn on captions, especially on videos with computer generated voices.

It's an old kia sorento. Literally anything made today has better handling than that POS. Everyone is giving the SUV credit but the truth is the guy was driving very carefully, albeit very recklessly. (If that makes any sense.) Doesn't take that much effort to keep a car in a straight line in dirt.

I am in So Cali. I grew up off roading. Some 4 wheel but mostly dirt biking. Started when I was 13 (1967). It is a blast. I have so many fond memories of dirt bike trips, through many years. When my son was old enough we took him with us. We would go camping and take the bikes. One trip was 2 weeks at an Indian Reservation in San Diego County in 1970.
The newscaster was really playing this up. This chase is not at the actual Salt River. It happened on the Salt River Indian Reservation. They were driving around on dirt roads the farmers use for working the farm fields. Not true off roading.
And that is not green grass, those are the plants of whatever crops they are currently growing

There was no hurry in the apprehension as the suspect was not harming anyone and now way out. Law enforcement waited for the driver to make a mistake and then take them without any injuries. Well done to our officers in uniform. Thank you.

One should only use the force necessary to put the offender behind bars. Jumping to conclusions as to the guilt or innocence or why one would degrade a comment commending the police is very strange.
