  • Join me on a fascinating tour where we will explore the gravesites of the victims of the notorious Manson family murders. Our itinerary includes 6 different locations, each with its own unique story. We'll begin with Ronald Hughes, who was Leslie Van Houten's defense attorney and vanished during the trial. We'll also visit the gravesite of Shorty Shae, a stuntman and wrangler who was reportedly murdered by the Manson family.
    Next, we'll pay our respects to the Cielo Drive victims, Sharon Tate and Steven Parent, before making our way to the final resting place of Leno LaBiana, the owner of Gateway markets. We'll also visit the gravesite of Vincent Bugliosi, the legendary prosecutor who successfully convicted Charles Manson and his followers.
    As an added bonus, we'll stop by the former location of Leno LaBiana's grocery store and pay our respects at the gravesite of George Spahn, the owner of Spahn's Movie Ranch where the Manson family resided for a time. Join me on this journey as we delve into the history and intrigue surrounding these tragic events.

    I paused here at Steve Parent to comment...I once here in las vegas helped a guy doing pool maintenance...he locked his keys in his truck and I got some thing out of my truck and with a long bent wire fished his keys out of the ignition...I asked him if he wanted some more business and he gave me his card...Steve Parent Pool Maintenance...I said wow that name is synonamous with the manson murders...any connection...yes he replied...my parents named me after my uncle Steve Parent...wow what a coincidence for me to meet him! good job on this video!

    Sure enjoyed this walkthrough Dave. I still cannot believe they released Van Houten from prison. Also enjoyed the video from Mr. LaBianca's Gateway Market. Wish we could bring those grocery prices back today. EGGS : 47 CENTS per dozen.....WOW!! I PAY $5 per dozen at our market....but that was last week....they could be $10 tomorrow. SAD all the way around with these senseless murders. May they all RIP.

      Thank you for watching the vids and leaving comments. This was one of my favorites to do because of the La Bianca store. Interestingly to me, I got to all these locations on a Sunday with little traffic. Since this video, I learned that when I worked at Von's briefly in the 80's the store manager was Jesse Malone whose father managed one of Gateway Market's stores but I didn't know this at the time. Would have loved to talk to him about Leno.

      Thanks, Todd. I actually had fun doing this. It was last Sunday. Although sad times to say the least. Only took me a few minutes to find each grave.

    Another movie I saw Sharon Tate in was “12 plus 1” on Showtime Network and it was where some nudity can be seen it, as the late 60’s were a time when strict rules over movies were relaxed, especially when the ratings system for movie came around in 1969 -1970.
    When the Manson family happened I was only around one year old. I was told about how brutal and vicious those murders were, even the book “Helter Skelter” written by Bugliousi was made into a TV movie where at the end Manson was put away. He went to Folsom Prison for a while then was sent to Corcoran State Prison where he stayed there until he died.

    California sure produced a lot of crazies. It makes me realize why the old folks were so against anyone with long hair. Charlie and LHO certainly made up for their short stature in a notorious way! Great research as usual.

    So Dave, to answer you...at the time about 8 or 9 years ago steve was living here in las vegas...I still have his business card...I was working on the house next door which was once custom built and owned by Diana Ross of the Supremes...located in rancho belair a gated community off of rancho road in las vegas...so do you live here in las vegas Dave?

    • @famousgraveswithdiamonddave
      @famousgraveswithdiamonddave  Год назад +1

      Yes, been here 41 years now. I know exactly where you are referring. I think Fletcher Jones lived in there too. I filmed all the famous graves around here, there are 77 so now I go to CA every few weeks to do vids. I'd rather do this then help put more $$ in casinos, lol Cool about the biz card. Steven Parent really was a good kid. I always wondered why Cielo victims didn't hear the shots. And Garretson never heard screams or anything else. I wish I could have had 5 mins w Manson in a locked room. BTW, his first wife is buried in Boulder City.
