Incredible fishing day for sure you guys know what you’re doing. But you might want to appreciate the bite in the fight versus how much each fishways and enjoy the moment being out in nature.
I know what lake you're fishing. My family has had a cottage on that lake for almost 50 years. Our cottage is just a few cottages south of the cottage in the background at 0:35. I know of an 8+ pound Smallmouth Bass that came out of that lake. This lake also has some huge Muskie in it.
Nice fish Traverse city has some awesome fishing the lakes up there have some great smallmouth fishing without the pressure of St Clair. I just can’t stop going after smallmouth most are into walleye fishing but smallies are just too much fun I would rather go after bass .
Fishing should be getting even better over the next few weeks! I would just try your best to find bait (perch or gobies) and smallies are always right behind them!
At around 350 hours your HPDI will start to idle rough. Time to replace the two mechanical fuel pumps and clean the O2 sensor. Hang it in some Chemtool overnight and clean it with a soft brush. A lot better than buying a new one. Such a deal to live where you can catch the big ones. I live 89 miles from Lake Fork and 120 from Monticello. Both are famous for BIG BASS and I was fortunate to fish whenever I wanted to for the last 40 years. Congradulations on a BANNER DAY.
@@TW14137 Don't have to be shitty, just saying someone from out of the state wants to come fish your waters I'm not expecting you to give your spots up, just asking which bodies of water your fishing.
@@TheFarmerdawg Who's being shitty? Just sayin, put your time in and you will be rewarded... or not. But every outing you should learn something, and maybe next time you will find them, or not. But whichever happens, you can apply what you learn to new water. That's fishing. The new generation doesn't want to fish, they just want to catch fish. They want to drive to the lake, yank 50 fish off beds, and still make it to happy hour to share pics of their new "PB" and tell all the other "dudes" how they "hammered em!" We just don't need fisheries being named by these attention seekers on youtube. Bad enough they feel the need to broadcast every fish they catch, leave it floppin in a net half out of the water while they "dude out", or hold it up for the camera while they tell you their life story. Almost any lake in Michigan, that has smallmouth, will have 5 lb+ fish in it. You just need to find em.
“We all throw them back” that is so far from the truth. Not to mention the extreme mishandling that goes on by social media rejects that just started fishing yesterday….nah man the responsible thing to do for these tubers is to keep locations quiet. You can learn plenty by just paying attention to technique and apply that to most bodies of water.
@@TW14137 That last sentence says it all. There is literally no need to know the "exact" lake these guys are on, if you wish to come to Michigan and catch nice bass. They are quite literally everywhere where small mouth are present up here. Just be respectful of the resource and the fishery, maybe even learn how to catch them when they are NOT spawning(worse thing the DNR did was open the season up for catch and release off the beds...just imo)
Bruh did you watch the vid..? The only time she was out of the water for more than 30 seconds was while I was fighting my 6.5. As soon as we landed the 6.5 we put her back in the net🤔
@@zachnuteoutdoors737 alright bud, this is coming from the guy who’s profile picture is literally him “holding a cool double” of smallies too😂😂. Both of these fish were 100% healthy and kicked off perfectly fine. I appreciate your concern
@@reelobsession mine were held in a livewell with water. Picture taken at the end of a tournament. It's all about fish care buddy. You're getting defensive cuz you know you had that fish out of water for far longer than you should have.
www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/bass-out-of-water/155286 Here’s an article published by In-fisherman that I suggest you read if you think that fish was held out of water for too long. That fish was never out of water for longer than two minutes and in the article, it states that zero fish mortality occurred when held out of water for up to 10 minutes in 70 degree water. In northern Michigan this time of year, you’d be hard pressed to find a body of water that is over 50° meaning that the metabolism of the fish is far slower and they require even less oxygen. I hope that your concern for these fish is with good intention, but the poor fish handling displayed on your Facebook page would lead me to believe that is not the case. It seems that you are using insincere concern for the health of the fish as a disguise for your anger that you did not catch them.
Awesome video! Gotta love smallie fishing
It's hard to beat!!
Very well done! 👏 cool videos Smallies are awesome!
Nothing like big northern smallies🙌🏻

Welcome to northern Michigan, my hometown area
My favorite area to fish for sure!
Don’t understand the pride behind catching Bass with eggs in their belly and then emphasizing their weight?
Share the wealth, We all want to catch tanks, and we all throw them back to catch another day
Put your time in, and go find em. Social media is hard enough on fishing locations even without the water being named.
