This video is a perfect example of why your channel is doing so well. Great tips and explanation of how to catch more fish and proof that it works. Awesome job and so glad to see you back on the water. Cheers!
Thanks so much for the kind words and support - it’s very much appreciated! That area never disappoints, but then again what area of LSC does? Right?! Tight lines!👊💥🎣
Great video!! Fun day slaying them. Looks like your in the black marsh. For whatever reason largemouth stay stacked in there and always bight early in the season. Best to get em before the weeds grow. 😅
So good to see ya back out on the Skiff Joe! 5 minute mark beast 💪🏻 Nice catch. Then the 7:35 bass. I’ll tell you what though….,that treePounder nailed you pretty good 😂. Great stuff as always brother👊
Thanks Chris! Appreciate your support my man! Gotta say tho man…didn’t feel comfortable throwing your custom out here with all the toothy critters! Bluegill were jumping out of the water fleeing for their lives! I’ll have it set up on a steel leader this week. Let’s see what kinda damage it can do here in MI!👊💥🎣
Thanks Brian, that means a ton and I appreciate the feedback and your support! I love sharing my passion and helping others get bites on our local spots - they aren’t honey holes and ANYONE can access them. I enjoy seeing people succeed in landing big fish and I hope the content I provide can help others out💯 - tight lines!👊💥🎣
🔥🔥 video, brother! You hammered them, and the tips were great! Love seeing those fatties come out. That pro qualifier was the rod I learned how to basitcast with, until I forgot it one day and it was taken lol miss that rod 😆
You’re very welcome! Sorry we missed each other. Don’t give up on it back there and there’s nothing wrong with sticking on that pier. I did a LOT of casting off there last season with Mike Coleman and we were killing it!
Nice job! I've got the Lew's Classic Speed Spool in 6'6" medium and I've paired it with the Shimano SLX DC! That's what ilm be using for my treble hook lures this season
@@live2fishofficial haha just had a really lucky ice season! But love me some open water bass fishing by now...sadly we will have to wait till Mid June!
Way to go Joe!!! That jerkbait definitely shines as coldwater bait!!! Keep doing what your doing brother!!! Definitely makes me want to keep throw the jerk around
Nice to see you out in the ultraskiff Joe. Really looking forward to getting back in the yak, but still about 3 weeks away here. Some fantastic catches in this one
Great video Joe! you caught some good ones! The only problem with the Stunna is the hooks. I had to replace a bunch of them last year because they would break in the same spot yours did. It is a little frustrating for $15. Have a great 2023 season! tight lines.
Thank you - appreciate your support! Looking close at these hooks it’s almost as if they are crimped on rather than soldered. Reminds me of the issue I was having with the ZMan ned keeper when I got a bad batch where they were poorly soldered. I might just go back with Yo-Zuri if it’s now gonna cost me hook replacements. I can’t argue how well they work tho!
Berkley Numba One Stunna!!!! lol Some nice bass, jerkbait fishing has to be my favorite type of bass fishing, especially when it comes to smallmouth. Can't go wrong with bass fishing back there in black creek early season I hear, I may try that location next, hoping there's some big pike back there too. Lot of good bass fishin' up the clinton river too! And if you can make it all the way over to the St. Clair River, there's tiny little streams and canals that weave in and out of the st. clair river that would be dynamite for largemouth this time of year, wonder if there's a place to launch a kayak over there like at Decker's Landing or something.
Thanks man! I would highly recommend it for sure.👍 There’s definitely a LOT of places to launch up around there and don’t forget about Harsens Island this time of year as well. There may be a lot of pan fisherman out that way, but that ought to tell you what else can surely be found!😉 Tight lines man!👊💥🎣
Hahahahahaha! Any resemblance to the ACTUAL location is purely fictional lol! It is time for sure - hope to see you out there soon! We got some bass to catch!👊💥🎣
Dude, they are not just redoing the 3 lane boat launch at burg. Messing w spring fishing is what they’re doing. Altho…if you see me on one of those giant inflatable things casting… mind ya business 😂🎣🙌🏻
Thanks Dave! The winds changed out of nowhere (typical for LSC right?) and the cold got to me quick! I was out just under an hour for this outing. It was my fault for preparing for 50 degrees and not 40 that felt like 30 once I got a little wet…🤦🏻♂️ We gotta hit the banks together soon! Keep in touch!
It’s my first run with them this season, I’ve mostly thrown Yo-Zuri. Very disappointed in these hooks. not so much that they’re light, but the design leaves them open to breaking way too easily. Thanks for the tip and for checking the video out! Tight lines!👊💥🎣
Some butterballs Joe ! Great catches and nice tips for the jerkbait. I have zero confidence in those. Bummer about the hook breaking but those look like some great jerkbaits. Besides the hook they look high quality. Great session! Glad your back out 👊
Thanks man! I have some really large and heavy jerkbaits I save for the smallies on the main lake, with very stout hooks. These definitely need a redesign 💯
Thanks Brett! It would have to be Shimano for me hands down. I don’t have a lot of experience with Quantum, but I do know that Shimano makes a high quality product.
@@live2fishofficial Ok. Thanks for the input. Sounds like I’ll go with Shimano. Seems to be the go to reel ( brand ). Cheers. Keep up the great videos 👍🏻

Wow! Thanks for those kind words my friend and for so much support from halfway around the world! Always appreciate you my friend!❤️🎣
That fish at 5:00 was massive. Jerkbait is definitely the play right now.
Have you been out to Harley? Curious to see what the bank bite is there along those steep drop offs there.
Not in the past few days. Marsh is warmer though right now. Was 41.3-42 when we went out.
@@live2fishofficial Harley ensign has been meh lot of perch fisherman tho
@@chriswood9836 thanks for the update! I’ve had really good luck there early on with the silver bass. It’s warming up soon so hopefully it’ll pick up.
Heck yes!! Nice day on the water
I need one like this for the #RLDL challenge!👊💥🎣
Great job. Great video as always. That's one of my fav spots

Great catches! Love that skiff! Ive been keeping my eyes on that Berkley Stunna! Awesome tips and explanation!
Thanks man! They definitely get it done, but the hooks have much to be desired…
@Live 2 Fish definitely, for the price I'm expecting decent hooks!
Awesome, Joe!! This got me excited to get back out on my kayak!!!
Heck yeah! It’s definitely getting to be that time - let’s gooooooooooo!👊💥🎣
Nice work Joe always slaying ‘em 🔥🤟🏾
Thank you my friend! It was time and I can’t wait to get on them this season. Tight lines!👊💥🎣

Been destroying bass with bobber and fake minnow. Searching for big panfish. Sucks when using 4 pound test having to deal with them tanks.
