- Welcome to the incredible Oman Air A330-300 video in Business Class! Did I say Business Class?
It looks and feels like a First Class, and I even got treated like royalty..
Look everyone, this airline deserves far more credit. I didn’t fly them in some years and somehow they just jumped all the way to my top 5.
Luxury is not just a product but also a feeling and personality. And Oman Air, without trying, just has that.
Those that have visited Oman or met Omani’s will know they might be the most generous and kindest people you might encounter on your journeys. And this essence of hospitality and care is displayed on each step of your journey, be it customs, lounge, ground employees or airline crew.
Join me on this short yet great flight. It will go down in my memory as one of the best experiences I’ve had.
This video doesn’t do the airline any justice so I’ll make sure to fly them again as there is just so much to show you!
A big thanks to all the staff on WY203 as they were just stunning. It the people that make an airline and here they’re worth gold.

I flew from London to Sri Lanka via Muscat return.... TWICE in 2019, it was great. London to Muscat they use their 787, and between colombo and muscat they use their 737MAX. Their Business class on their 787 was their newer one with a 2-2-2 config, with direct aisle access for the window seats, one of the best business class seats after Q suites. Their 737 was a 2-2 config, not a flat bed but a recliner but was very good. Great modern IFE and food was amazing.
And Muscat airport is great, it's relatively new very clean and not too big with just 1 terminal building. But be careful, because i bought some water airside in the terminal building and then couldn't take it past the gate onto the plane because they had an extra security check at the gate where they screen, so had to dump my drink, alot of people got caught out by this. I think this is stupid that you can't buy a drink air side and take it onto the plane

Although Oman Air's aircraft are slightly older than other carriers, they definitely make up for that with other things in the sky!

It’s just this plane that is a bit old but I prefer it, I mean look at the Business Class, it’s First! All other A330’s and aircraft have new interiors. I loved it!

True, I think it was an on the spot mistake. It happens.. You can either stop and think, or stutter, or just say whatever is on your mind 🙃
As there are multiple languages used across India it was probably easier to say 'indian' to the passengers than list of all them.
Most Indians speak several languages. You can find at least one common language. That's what they mean.
@@gosbertchagula7917except that information is highly relevant, these are distinct languages, and in all likelihood the crew probably only speaks one or two. there is no rational justification, it’s just ignorance or idgaf from the crew. most Indians would find it mildly offensive.

Flew this product last week out of Oman. It's an older business class, but still ok & comfortable.

11:29, It happens sometimes when I am flying to a new destination, even on the small plane like Airbus A320, A321 and A321neo.

Great flight review, the airport and lounge are VERY nice, and the seats on that A330, some first class seating isn't as good. The meal for such a short flight looked pretty impressive, and that cocktail you had in the lounge ... I went back and had a look at the ingredients ... it said "Sprite", was there room for any? It looked pretty potent! Safe travels. 🥂
The sprite was just a tiny dash! I didn’t even look at the ingredients, I just saw Oman Air special and took it. Like a Long Island ice Tea on steroids! Too much to handle even for me 😛

Oman is so beautiful. It has always been considered the 2nd cleanest country in the world after Singapore. And Bombay will always be Bombay. My hometown 12,500 km from Toronto.
Oman Air has a pleasant product, despite not being an "in your face all the time" carrier like other airlines in the middle east that pop up on several sites. Might you know why the thrust was reduced again at 16:50 after the first climb thrust selection at 16:30?
That is exactly what I mean, it’s not “in your face” at all. And they’re totally normal about it.
The second time the trust was reduced as we seemed to hold our altitude for a moment and then kept climbing. Perhaps to avoid another traffic.

Where are you flying on the A330? I love that plane. I used to fly a lot before I moved to Dubai. Now it’s mostly B777’s and A380’s.
I prefer Airbus by far. Boeing is great for airline operations while Airbus is great for passengers. Most of the Airbus planes have more comfort.
The ex-Delta Air India might come out later this month, I don’t want too much Mumbai flights to mix it all up 😀

Hey! It is even far better of what I expected! The Etihad A320 video is filmed but I kind of have a backlog as I have some older ones that I want to publish too.. It’s hard to choose! And of course the others are more interesting vs the A320..
I flew J LHR to MNL in December 2022 on a dreamliner and thought it was just 'ok'. The food wasn't particularly good, the cabin crew absent for most of the flight, I wasn't offered champagne, there were no amenity kits on board - nit even a toothbrush and toothpaste! The airport itself is very nice, a haven of calm compared to Dubai, and the lounge is excellent, by far the best lounge I've used. Maybe I got unlucky, but I'd put the overall experience lower than Emirates, Qatar and Etihad.

Another beautiful video lovely to see Oman Air ,Omani according to me are the most hospitable people - Yes like you always like to sit behind the wing ,yes it's more noisey turbulence but what's a flight would be without that , always get to see what action the pilots doing with the flaps and spoilers

And yes, lot’s of action behind the wing! I like to hear the RR Trent’s from the front on take off but during the landing it’s so much better in the back. I’ll always change as long as there are seats, which this time there were plenty 😃

Aloo parathas are best when served sizzling hot right of the pan, along with butter (well traditionally indian households also make butter in house which is the best companion to parathas, rather than mass produced), but if you get a chance in future (maybe a live counter if any, try fresh aloo parathas with some butter

7:09, Why do you like the Trent 700 engines or you just like the sound of the Trent 700 engines. But I prefer the GE90s, PW4000, Trent 1000 and CFM Leap 1 (1B to be specific) engines or Leap 1 (To be specific) engines . Leap 1 has the same engine, but different letter for aircraft type, 1st is the Airbus A320neo and it's power by the Leap 1A engines. 2nd, the Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 and it's power by the Leap 1B engines. And lastly, the Comac C919 is power by the Leap 1C engines.

The Omanis are good and the kindest among Arabian peninsula and more, however i had a bad experience with this airline during covid time to get a refund of my flight ticket scheduled during lockdown period.
It took more than 1 year to get the refund and this process was not easy due to a numerous follow-up through telephone, email, social media pages.
Never expected this kind of approach from a full service airline.
Thanks for writing! Sorry for your experience, but Covid collapsed almost all airline help desks. Imagine every single passenger got their flights cancelled. And you can’t hire enough people.
I was also owed money for a long time from various airlines. All good now, only one didn’t pay me back yet (ITA from Italy 😂)
The Rolls-Royce engine size never justify to the size of an Airbus A330-300, it look under powered to me due to the narrow size.
True Engineering with power of a beast to thrust this heavy frame to the sky.
Don’t judge the size! It might look small but I had the chance to stand right next to it and it’s quite huge, it was bigger then the refueling truck!

I did it on purpose as I think this aircraft is just the best.. No other airline in the world offers such a massive Business Class seat.
The B787’s Business Class product I’ve tried already, Gulf Air has the same. Its nice but this was better, in my opinion 😊

Two contrasting things that surprised me -
1. If Oman Air has such a great business class product, why do they have first class then. I mean the business class looks like first class of many airlines.
2. Such a great business class product, but the IFE interface looks quite old, like Air India. Dont know why it has not been upgraded.
