So I've defeated two shinys during the run of the main game and I haven't seen them reappear after that I've done the same raid multiple times and the bosses haven't spawned since so I'm just asking if that means it's a one and done situation
@@weebnerd9280 nope. Bosses spawn randomly and on top of that to recruit a shiny. You must have a friend bow equipped to the pokemon knocking them out. Some pokemon will not spawn on lower levels. An example would be rapidash, doesnt spawn until the last 2-3 levels of their dungeon. This isnt the same for every pokemon though. What you can do. Is get a pokemon with notorious fasting abilty and xray specs (only needed for floors that dony actively show all the pokemon on that floor.) And you'll hold R and A i believe. Which will speed up time and spawn in pokemon. That way you can sit in one spot until you have to leave the floor lvl due to wind. I recommend watching my never fail a shiny pokemon again video. It'll help a lot.
15:44 if you’re ever in that position, instead of luring a shiny to you and hoping your partners don’t attack. Trap them. Using that set up as an example. Leave sceptile where he is. Control magneton and move him up until he’s standing at the end of the party behind wurmple. Go back to using blastoise and change your team to “WAIT HERE” magneton and sceptile will stay exactly where they are and the others will be trapped in the corridor inbetween them. Mag and Scep will still attack but only whatever comes near them. If a shiny spawns in the top left corner of a map, trap them in a corridor in the bottom right. Good luck 👍🏻
Yup, no problem. Also keep in mind. If you use a inviting orb and the pokemon affected by it gets knocked it. It may lose its inviting orbs stats. So make sure to get the pokemon near K.o. before using it. Also, yiu can use a petrify orb, to freeze that pokemon. So when you use the inviting orb, it doesn't attaxk you right after
I believe you don't need the pokemon with friendly to do the finishing blow for recruiting pokemon. It already said in the description that it affects the whole team. But I still made my Absol friendly though. I didn't have false swiper starters such as cubone or treeko so I just used the auto-recruited Absol in the plot for this use.
No you dont, you just need it on your party. My espeon has it. I use a pokemon with squad up as the attacker. i probably miss said something on accident. It effects the whole team as you said. I have a new updated video om how to never fail shinys if you wanna see it.
Note: When you have a rare skill on Pokemon, it effects everyone, so that means if you have a Pokemon on your team with Friendly, it's effecting your leader. That goes for all skills and is heavily reminded each time you see a new skill. Even though you can have all these these on, I hear people still fail, but someone in another video said it was 100%, but I'm not sure what is correct and if some of those people had all of the boost you can get
Yeah I’ve had a squad up zangoose I believe with a full team, false swipe as a finishing move (helps increase chances of joining), and an inviting orb and yet these shiny Pokémon still elude joining my team. It’s rather depressing.
I decided to come back to playing DX a week ago and after beating the game, I decided to try to shiny hunt. This is because before I beat the game I already have encountered 5 shinies. Right now, I have failed all my shinies, and my current number of shiny encounters just hit 45 yesterday. Finally decided to watch guides to see what I missed. Glad I did, hopefully I can get future shinies now. Now I can finally go after shinies Edit: 46, just encountered a shiny Aipom while trying to clear Solar Cave
Honestly how I shiny hunt is by going with Absol with False Swipe and Swords dance so I can almost always get a 1 or 2 shot making reviver seeds unneeded. And the other two pokemon are filler with the rare qualities Steamroll and Friendly/Squadup with Absol having the third. Having Stamina band on one pokemon you'll control up until you get to a floor you're comfortable farming on, you can use a joy ribbon on the 3rd item to hold just to get some extra exp to a member lacking behind. use an inviting orb and a rare quality orb. Lasso orbs are nice too but not always needed. You'll also minimize the amount of apples and oran berries you need since i personally dont like wasting good resources. But thats just me lol.
I actually found a few new ways to make way easier this is very outdated and foind a way to never fail a shiny again too. While also being able to easily farm them, if you wanted to do that.
@@sonicx711 ill have a video explaining it maybe later today. And if you stop by a stream i can tell you more in detail. You need nintendo online. Once you get to a shiny. Push the home button. Then push the (+) button pm the game. Go to cloud save data. Turn off the automatic save. Then click save back up. Say yes. It will close your game and save that file to the cloud. So then load up the game. Rry and recruit, if you fail. Push the home button. Push (+) button again. Go to clous sava data again. Now this time click download save. It wll ask do you wanna delete the save ln the console. Say yes. Now open your game, it will load up were you did the save back up. So when you get the shiny. Now, before you knock it out. Petrify it, with petrifying wand or orbs. Now, aim at a wall or go into an open place and use a lot of random moves and run around for a bit. This will now will have a new chance at recruiting it. Becusse this game is based on frames. Once you spawn the shiny. As an example we will say. Your at frame. #1. Now lets say frames 1-10 are successful recruitments. Frames 11-20 are fails. Everytime you use a move or walk. It advances the frames. So you load up battle in front of the shiny. Your at frame 1. You do quick attack, now your at frame 2. You do tackle, your at frame 3. You move one spot, your at frame 4. lets say your now at frame 10. And you use false swip and it takes you to frame 11. And this false swipe knocks them out. You will now fail it, because your at the recruitment fail frame. Lets say you do the same thing. but this time your at frame 8. You use false swip, your at frame 9 and it knocks out, you now can recruit it because your at frame 9, not 11-20. you need to advance the frames out of the recruitment fail zone. If you fail the shiny. Best way is to walk around before the battle and change the frames. All players frames ars diffrent. You might have shint frames that are 1-100 successful rerecruitments. And 101-112 as fails. it all varies each time and not really trackable.
@@sonicx711 you can also do it to manipulate monster house and momster orbs got a few shiny pokemon on stream last night like that. Or you can load up a map, bring a pokemon with xray specs and notorious farting i think. Get a whole squad, for squad up boost. Then go to the next floor. Save like that cloud method. Load up the game hold down R and A. it will now fast forward the game. So you dont needx to run vack and fourth. This way when you drain your belly from time skip, you wont have to fill it and it wont Hurt you. Time skips summons pokemon at random got a sudowodo that way

For people who picked pikachu as there starter if you use a gummy that you can get squad up as a special quality and I choose pikachu and eevee because why not.
I came across a shiny Lickylicky without hunting it (I was doing a mission) didnt recruit it, and then the same again for a shiny Noctowl, two shinies in a row, them odds have gotta be pretty low.
I just finished Articuno and I have a team with Squad Up and False Swipe. Just ran into my first shiny (Noctowl) and he didn't even give me the time of day lol
I actually found a friend bow before the story was done, went through ancient relics and beat all of the regis first to get the music box and didnt finish the dungeon but went back to recruit them and when i got to floor 99 there was 6 evo stones and 4 deluxe boxes and a friend bow
Unless the story is super short and all of the legendary recruiting stuff is post game, im still getting cutscenes and missions so im guessing it’s still story stuff
I’m not really trying to shiny hunt but this was helpful.I’ve seen shinies every now and then but I’m honestly just trying to recruit the strong foe in general. Also I found out that the scizor in sky tower have false swipe

I recruited a shiny sudowoodo and then the next floor there was a second one lmao Then on the other hand Metagross and Dragonite never show shiny after the dozens of runs through their dungeons...
cody thankfully they arnt that rare, i failed 3 before i finish the main story. This isnt the first time you can befriend wild shiny pkmn that spawn in dungeons in the pmd series, i wish you the best in the post game.
Hey man, just learned this game came out and I've been playing like crazy. I fucked up and lost my friend bow, do you know how to get another after you took the solar cave one?
Do a FULL GUIDE on recruiting mew in Pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team dx, because like the originals it’s still pretty unclear just how you find it. The basics are simple get the music box from buried relic and then find it but I swear people either say it’s floors 40.50.60.70.80 and 90 or it’s just a low chance from floor 36 to 99.
Yeah its the floors 40. 50. Ectn . Im sure it doesn't spawn as a boss. So you wont be able to tell if it spawns, unless you walk up to it. So, you need to equipd some one with xray specs. Itll show alll items and pokemon in that dungeon. when you get on those dungeon floors just randomly run around as you try and spawn it. Leavel the floor before the wind nlows you out. Some one on my stream last night got it. He failed one before because partner pokemon knocked it out.
Mister thief *_Note: i hadnt try the dungeon let in DX so idk how much change._* But for getting Mew in the original once you enter the dungeon the floor mew will be on is already determine from the start and will only be on *_one_* floor different every time from floor36-99 some of my trys from pmd1 has been 71, 82, 86, ect. If Mew happens to be on that very floor walk around a bit and a message will appear as soon as you get on that floor in the chat log saying "Mew transform" giving away that Mew is on that floor. If you knock Mew out and it doesnt want to be friends you can then just escape orb out of there if you dont care for the rewords at the end of the dungeon (as Mew wont spawn on any future floors for the rest of that run until you re enter the dungeon) I just unlock the dungeon in DX and staying away from spoilers of how some dungeons had changed so idk if its different from what it was back then so just a heads up.
Sorry but I feel the need to vent.. just today I failed a shiny Exeggutor while using every single method simultaneously. Friend bow on leader, false swipe, friendly, squad up with 8 members, rare quality orb and inviting orb, on top of putting the exeggutor to sleep. Sometimes these guys dont even show up at all, let alone as a shiny. Kinda frustrating..
is it like a chance thing with munchlax? cause I have only gotten the munchlax belt, the one that has his color? I've seen and given him apples 4 times by now
I have been trying to get the right belt for so long and it's damn-near impossible. I have seen munchlax literally 16 times (I counted) and he has given me like 7 of the other equipment item, but not one tight belt
The point of Squad Up is that the more Pokemon you have on your team, the easier it is to recruit more. So idk why you're coming to the conclusion that the more Pokemon with squad up, the easier it is to recruit.. you just need one mon with squad up. The purpose is that with squad up, you'll be able to recruit more the more you have
Your nor understanding what i said. So lets say you have one pokemon with squad up and 8 pokemon on your team. Each pokemon, will increase the recruitment rate by 1%. So you'll be at 8% recruitment rate. Niw if you had 2 pokemom with squad up. And 8 pomemon. You'll have 16% recruitment. I wasnt sure at the if it stacked on each other. As some rare quailty and items do. So have more squad ups with a full time might increase the rate more. But i was recently informed they dont stack. Its like eating a perfect apple. You go to 150%belly. Use abother youll go to 200%
@@askthetruth5574 im well aware of that now, knowen for a few days. Certain items stack, and wont say the stack in the text. So i thought it had a possibility of it stacking.
Just a heads up, if you use a inviting orb and that pokemon dies. It loses the invitinf orb buff. Only use inviting orb right before you're gonna knock out a shiny pokemon!
Wait, so can you recruit shinies if you haven't beaten the game? I was farming ampharos trying to get one to join my team and the second one I encountered was shiny. Sadly it didn't join my team, but does that mean they won't if I haven't beaten the game?
I dont thin so. you really need to have friend bow, false swipe, along witha ll the other stuff like inviting orbs and rare quality orbs, squad up and friendly rare quality

Question, the music box that you receive from the regis is a item that has to be store with the rest of items? Is the second time I pass that cave and mew doesn't appear.
I believe the music box just doesn't appear as an item in the toolbox. I had recruited mew in my second attempt in the cave, but it appeared on the 90th floor.
Same thing happened to me, first mystery dungeon game that I've played so I didn't know what to do, had no idea shiny Pokémon were even in the game lol

You can also get false swipe tm from the kecleon in town. Only saw it a few times so it is probably rare.

I got like three shiny strong foes in a row: 2 Spinda and a Lickilicky. Not great shinies but shinies nonetheless

Munchlax gave it to me when I have him back the apples he dropped
Best pokemon for False Swipe is probably Scyther/Scizor since it'll get buffed with technician and it's learned naturally at an early level
I got super lucky, I was just doing the post game without going ham to the shiny hunt. Still got Shiny Dragonite, Ditto and Aipom.
I found three shiny dragonites in a row and I didn’t catch any 😭😭😭
You don't catch in Mystery Dungeon, you recruit. You catch in mainline games, go, Colosseum, xd , etc... But NOT in Mystery Dungeon

Ive spent about 10 in game hours looking for a shiny metagross, and id say 80% of runs I dont even find a single metagross. This might take awhile
Have you tried finding the stairs of each floor and holding R and A? That makes spawns easier to deal with

I actually found a friend bow before the story was done, went through ancient relics and beat all of the regis first to get the music box and didnt finish the dungeon but went back to recruit them and when i got to floor 99 there was 6 evo stones and 4 deluxe boxes and a friend bow
Unless the story is super short and all of the legendary recruiting stuff is post game, im still getting cutscenes and missions so im guessing it’s still story stuff

For the apples bit, why use the valuable apples? Hungry pokemon will still join 100% of the time no matter what apple you give, even tiny

I recruited a shiny sudowoodo and then the next floor there was a second one lmao Then on the other hand Metagross and Dragonite never show shiny after the dozens of runs through their dungeons...
Each floor, find the stairs and hold down R and A it'll speed up time.
And spawn mons. This is the best way to hunt those two.

cody thankfully they arnt that rare, i failed 3 before i finish the main story. This isnt the first time you can befriend wild shiny pkmn that spawn in dungeons in the pmd series, i wish you the best in the post game.

In the older games your natural percentage to recruit pokemon increased as your level went up. Is this still the case here?
Found a shiny azurmarill and shiny noctowl, I didn’t have this setup so once I knocked them out they just died
Do a FULL GUIDE on recruiting mew in Pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team dx, because like the originals it’s still pretty unclear just how you find it. The basics are simple get the music box from buried relic and then find it but I swear people either say it’s floors 40.50.60.70.80 and 90 or it’s just a low chance from floor 36 to 99.

. Im sure it doesn't spawn as a boss. So you wont be able to tell if it spawns, unless you walk up to it. So, you need to equipd some one with xray specs. Itll show alll items and pokemon in that dungeon. when you get on those dungeon floors just randomly run around as you try and spawn it.
Leavel the floor before the wind nlows you out.
Some one on my stream last night got it. He failed one before because partner pokemon knocked it out.

But for getting Mew in the original once you enter the dungeon the floor mew will be on is already determine from the start and will only be on *_one_* floor different every time from floor36-99 some of my trys from pmd1 has been 71, 82, 86, ect. If Mew happens to be on that very floor walk around a bit and a message will appear as soon as you get on that floor in the chat log saying "Mew transform" giving away that Mew is on that floor. If you knock Mew out and it doesnt want to be friends you can then just escape orb out of there if you dont care for the rewords at the end of the dungeon (as Mew wont spawn on any future floors for the rest of that run until you re enter the dungeon)
I just unlock the dungeon in DX and staying away from spoilers of how some dungeons had changed so idk if its different from what it was back then so just a heads up.
Sorry but I feel the need to vent.. just today I failed a shiny Exeggutor while using every single method simultaneously. Friend bow on leader, false swipe, friendly, squad up with 8 members, rare quality orb and inviting orb, on top of putting the exeggutor to sleep. Sometimes these guys dont even show up at all, let alone as a shiny. Kinda frustrating..

munchlax didnt give me a tight belt tho he just gives me other food increaseign reducing items

I have been trying to get the right belt for so long and it's damn-near impossible.
I have seen munchlax literally 16 times (I counted) and he has given me like 7 of the other equipment item, but not one tight belt
The point of Squad Up is that the more Pokemon you have on your team, the easier it is to recruit more. So idk why you're coming to the conclusion that the more Pokemon with squad up, the easier it is to recruit.. you just need one mon with squad up. The purpose is that with squad up, you'll be able to recruit more the more you have
Your nor understanding what i said.
So lets say you have one pokemon with squad up and 8 pokemon on your team.
Each pokemon, will increase the recruitment rate by 1%.
So you'll be at 8% recruitment rate.
Niw if you had 2 pokemom with squad up. And 8 pomemon. You'll have 16% recruitment.
I wasnt sure at the if it stacked on each other. As some rare quailty and items do.
So have more squad ups with a full time might increase the rate more.
But i was recently informed they dont stack.
Its like eating a perfect apple.
You go to 150%belly.
Use abother youll go to 200%

Just a heads up, if you use a inviting orb and that pokemon dies. It loses the invitinf orb buff. Only use inviting orb right before you're gonna knock out a shiny pokemon!

I dont thin so. you really need to have friend bow, false swipe, along witha ll the other stuff like inviting orbs and rare quality orbs, squad up and friendly rare quality

Question, the music box that you receive from the regis is a item that has to be store with the rest of items? Is the second time I pass that cave and mew doesn't appear.
I believe the music box just doesn't appear as an item in the toolbox. I had recruited mew in my second attempt in the cave, but it appeared on the 90th floor.
