- Woodturning - Resin and Branches Lazy Susan
I decided to try making a Lazy Susan and I have to say I am pretty happy with the results. I did plan on the resin being a lot blacker but the ink dye that I used wasn't enough and I didn't have any solid powder black so I used some dark blue (yes - blue again!) 😀
The only real problem I had was using a board as a base that I thought would be easy to remove from the set resin - it wasn't! So I had to turn it off instead.
Otherwise I really like the effect of branches and resin and plan on doing more pieces using this style.
Our 6 Yr old son Ethan wanted to be involved again so I am always happy to encourage him to make things and he really did enjoy his first time using the lathe.
Tell me what you think! Would you like to see more of these kind of pieces in this style?
