- Partial highlights from Essex v Leicestershire in the Natwest SF from 1992. This is all I have from this game. If anyone has the first day of this as well as other county matches from this era then please let me know. There are a few matches I'm looking for. Email is paulrparker1978@gmail.com
Very enjoyable to watch again. Is there any chance you have the Essex v Northants match that was televised a year later with Allan Lamb scoring a century? I would be so grateful if you could upload it?

Great upload! This was the match Aggers made a brief comeback and Essex were poor. Still, winning the championship made up for it that season! Do you have any Sunday League matches from the 90’s on the BBC? I remember Essex playing Northants at Valentines Park in 1998 live on Sunday Grandstand!
I probably still have that match somewhere. It was pretty poor coverage though. In those days Grandstand only covered parts of the match and showed other sports as well. Stuart Law basically won the match off his own bat in the first 15 odd overs and that wasn't shown. By the time they showed the game live it was pretty much a non event.
That and the Durham match I've uploaded are the only games from Grandstand I have. I remember some pretty heavy losses against Notts, Worcester and Warwickshire.
I don't suppose you know anyone else who does have BBC county cricket highlights from this sort of era?
@@paulp9557 Have you uploaded the Northants match before? I can’t see it on your channel. Apologies if I’ve misunderstood. Yes some weeks the Sunday League on Grandstand would be top billing, other weeks there were other sports that took the limelight but at least they always (as I recall) showed highlights so nothing was missed. I remember Stuart Law smashing it everywhere as you say! I also remember Nasser getting 50 odd not out in that game. I don’t remember Worcester or Warwicks games on Sunday Grandstand? Perhaps they were both Sky? I remember Essex losing to Warwicks in a Sky Sunday League match in 1997, a heavy defeat that ended the title challenge that year! I also remember the Notts match in 1998 that was on Sunday Grandstand as Essex capitulated that year even worse! Have you got that match too? I think that was the last county match shown on BBC as well! I don’t know anyone who has recordings but I have a couple of the season round-up videos (Cover Point I think?) somewhere from 1995, 1996 and 1998 somewhere!
