@ridrup Another great video. I don't think you liked getting passed by that girl. She had some solid skills. My very first mountain bike race was a Norba national in Utah, this was years ago. I had been riding for about 4 months and I was fit but not so much from biking. The race starts and I get to the first long climb and this girl passes me going about two gears higher than me and she was about 35 pounds overweight. So I chased her down on the down hill and she passed me back on the next climb and I never saw her again until after the finish. I went over and checked the time sheets and she beat me by 8 minutes. Needless to say my stereotyping days were over after that humbling experience. Thanks for posting the videos.
Nice memories Todd. I still remember losing a 1on1 basketball game in 8th grade to girl who was 5'7 to my 6'2. Shouldn't have let her take so many 3s! :) The lady in this video is super strong and well known in the nor cal scene. In this event I was racing in the 3 person co-ed division so I was freaked out that she too was in the same category. When she passed me on the final climb at the end of the lap, I asked her of she was dong 2s or 3s and she said 2 person female. At that point I could have let her go but you know how it is!
