That house was a step or two above average for the 50's well planned executive home, even with the mods it still has most of its good features, My Auntie had a milk/mail door like that , used to come home from work and find the milk frozen. The wall phones are second gen, the originals would have bee rotary dial pulse , and changed to button, tone type in the early 80's or late 70''s Thanks for the peek inside.

I 💙💙💙this house Ethan. So simple and tastefully re-done. Absolutely HUGE. I couldn’t even afford toilet paper 🧻 for all the bathrooms. The simplicity of the wrought iron staircases was nice for a change. Even liked the 80’s cabinets that were white with the nickel accents. Just great. Bang up job with this video young man. You made my night. Make your week a good one and we will catch you on your next explore.😊

The first stove top that was very poorly placed was straight grilling... and the jar underneath was to catch grease.
You just simply unscrew it and empty the grease out.
A lot of the grills by Jenn-Air were convertible with cartridges so you could interchange them with a grill, spiral ring cooktop, even a rotisserie, but this one was designed only as a grill.

What's up Ethan?!! Love this house. It's good to open doors because sometimes you can see something from the original house. Built in the 50s you think? Maybe 60s? Definitely updated late 80s early 90s. The wood the wood that wood kills me. Absolutely love it and the staircase with the wood. Good one. Tfs 👍

I no it had to be super cool and it's original state, judging from the bit of wallpaper left behind where the fridge was, and some of the other details. That pink bathroom is truly wow! Thanks , the revisit was just as awesome as the first time! 😎🤩✌️

  • @gentillydanny
    @gentillydanny 2 года назад

That house is as solid as a rock. When you went up the stairs, not a creak. No cracking when you walked through the house on those wood floors. Hopefully they'll use the final days of it's existence to salvage some of it.
A black bathroom may be okay if you're into goth but it'd be hard to clean since hair, etc. would be practically invisible, and anyone using the mirror would look several days past their expiration date.
Get rid of about 90% of the mirrors, the goth black bathroom, some minor repairs, and this would be a very comfortable home.
About the discussion people have regarding pro or con open living space, I think these rooms are a good answer for that. Nice big rooms that have privacy yet can be opened for a sense of space for really large gatherings.
Apparently they didn't drink or maybe used a portable dry bar; I didn't see a built-in bar anywhere.
I like the laundry room on the ground floor. No steps to deal with and no dank little room at the end of a dark hallway.
I was surprised at how unused the basement looked but when I thought about it I saw they really didn't need it with all those rooms on the ground floor. They probably rarely used it and it was finished in the original build.
Too bad no outside shots. Really too bad this solid, well planned house is toast. Good video.
P.S. I see you're up to 80.9k. That's the population of a small city subscribing to you. Goin' good. 'grats.

This house is absolutely beautiful. The inside isn’t in bad shape at all except for the raccoon
activity and that bit of mold in the basement. All of these things can be easily corrected. So
why do they have to demolish this lovely gem? I’m with you about that black bathroom, it’s
ugly and too dark and depressing. The bathrooms with the big white bathtub in it was my
fave. I do think the basement was creepy. You never showed us the outside like you said
you would. The kitchen was nice and big with 2 electric cookies. Just a great revisit. Thank
you Ethan for showing us again this lovely gem. I wonder if they had a pool outside? Stay

FIRST room, I believe that is 90s. Cathedral ceiling, marble fireplace (yes that's real Italian marble), the shutters (whatever they are called!). Brass was a 90s thing.
Yes that is a milk delivery box! Lasted into the 70s depending where you lived.
I believe the double ovens are from the late 60s/early70s.
The kids table on the deck is probably 90s.
That massive great room! I wonder what it was used for!
Master bedroom, I think the window treatments are late 80s/early 90s, and they are definitely custom. The shelves inside the closet are 90s IKEA. I will put money on that. It's the Billy shelves. Whoever lived there in the 90s was cheap or didn't have a ton of cash.
Black bathroom is horrible, I THINK that's late 80s/early 90s but someone can correct me!
The PINK bathroom is probably late 50s/early 60s, it might be original! That floor tile is CLASSIC from that period. That is a DREAM BATHROOM For teenage girls in the early 60s. They needed counter space for things like hot roller sets. They needed shelves to store products. Hollywood lighting is for doing hair and makeup. They were lucky girls!
What is UP with all of their bathroom sinks having that shape?
17:58 70s phones! don't know how it works in Canada, in the states in those days we rented phones from the phone company. In the US we had a style called Trimline, this is not that style.
FINALLY those big white square tiles in the entry are 90s I believe.
THANKS again ETHAN! You're doing important work!
