I like that Ford F-150 4x4 pickup that John Travolta drove in Urban Cowboy. That pickup was either a 1978 or 1979 year model because 1978 was the first year for the square shaped headlamps & 1979 was the last year for those 6th generation F-series pickups.
I don’t remember seeing the front of the Ford truck Travolta drove in that movie, but on a side note the ‘78’s actually had round headlights & the 79’s had the square ones. That’s basically the only way to distinguish between a 1978 & 1979 Ford Pickup Truck. Then in 1980 it was a whole new body style & dashboard/interior.
Today is the 40th anniversary of the release of *Urban Cowboy*. And the film turned quite the profit for Paramount it made over $50 million on a budget of $10 million.
Sherwoods ice house was down the street from gilleys . I delivered beer to He's not here, sherwoods , and several other bars in Pasadena. Old man Sherwood was an asshole and was a mute , he just grunted at you. Lol
My favorite character on Urban Cowboy was old Steve you know he was really a bartender out there quite a character he is crazy he's the same person he was in that movie
