I nnever totally subscribe to all the analysis these so called ' gurus' say. I do my own research. I sold all of my Derek Carr and Carson Wentz cards a year ago. They had promising careers with a couple of good years but that's it. Two very inconsistent quarterbacks no where near the elite level of Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes or Brees. You're better off buying RC or second year cards of the elite players I just mentioned. Sell the Carr's and Wentz's, they're gonna drop like a boat anchor over time.
Best to just observe vegas dave and never get involved with anything he’s involved with. He was in a Showtime documentary called “Action” a couple years ago and you can tell he’s shady within minutes of his introduction.

We have right at 30 players that's 25 and UNDER depending on a few of our free agents and what we do.. But yes, Derek Carr and the Raiders are about to take the NFL by Storm! In the videos VD obviously shows the cards off, so at least he's disclosing his assets (unlike other investor channels I see). But then he says he's not selling them. He got lucky with the Trout cards there was other people in the hobby who he was friends with and told Vegas Dave that the Trout cards where under value and told him to buy them after he sold the Trouts he said that it was all his idea and the other people that where his friend in the hobby that told him to buy the Trout's where never mentioned and are longer associated with him.
That's kind of what I was guessing that he got advice about the Trout's and made a "bet" on it and got lucky. Great feedback and info. Thanks for watching!
If he owns the Carr cards, he can do anything he wants with them. Viewer beware. No different than insiders selling company stock periodically even while they promote their company.
You're right he can do whatever he wants with them, but it's completely unethical, and very different than selling a stock that has verified earnings reports, most importantly, insider trading is public record. This video simply provides a public record.
Maybe that how they wash their money buying back their own cards and boosting up the price so when they sell it at a premium in profit. How else will you predict that Derek Carr cards going to Worth 2 mills. Maybe it the same with the record-breaking card that he sold it might just be in his pc still.

Here's the truth, I kept an eye on Vegas Dave's social media. Sometimes Dave gives away his Derek Carr cards. So that seller must have either got free cards from Dave or bought those from Dave.
Ok so if they got them given to them, he gave them at least 4 and they were able to post them and sell 3 of them within 4 days of the video coming out and if he sold them, well then he still sold them. I don’t think this case fits that mold. Thanks for the feedback though.

It's interesting to note that if you plug "Danjess33" in to google search, an entirely different guy's Instagram account shows up, but still featuring several of Vegas Dave's previously showcased Derek Carr cards. I'm guessing VD only sells his cards through this guy to keep his name and location safe.

Its possible He takes a 5% hit of the cost of the sale to ebay seller fees. After buying his own card with a second ebay account. Later on history shows that the cards sold for x amount of dollars. Market manipulation buy vegas dave with multiple ebay accounts. People with millions can afford to manipulate big money cards on eBay.

I collect Derek Carr cards and even understand that Vegas Dave is trying to manipulate the market by bullshiting Carr’s value. Derek Carr was great and very nice when meeting him but his play needs to improve before his card is worth anything as close as Vegas Dave is trying to sell it for.

There are so many variations of them that they will all eventually sink in value imo. This use to be a collect and hold type hobby, now speculators and manipulators seem to rule it. Have you seen his Instagram page lately? Now he says the card market will plummet in 1-2 years. I think he’s salty because most of his predictions that he made public, didn’t happen. He said the Saints would win the Super Bowl this year and now with this video there’s something definitely fishy going on with “his” investments.
I’ve kept up with things. I’m going to stay neutral, but the actual Forbes video is worth watching and a valid take on a complex personality. Thanks for being here!

I dont know the entire story but if i was him and i had all that $ tied up into carr cards id want to sell a few if i could. I dont see much harm in that. But if hes using multiple accounts and things are looking funny he doesnt need to be doing anything fishy with his track record. Hope he stays out of trouble and does things the right way.

Cool. I’m a big Royals fan. I mainly collect 1971 Topps and Ichiro although there are some new guys I’m building up that I would consider a collection. I think I’ll have a lot of Bam Adebayo by the end of the year.

That’s cool. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Derek Carr. I just released the video to show that these cards were being sold at the same time as he was promoting them. Yea it was. He might be right about Derek Carr. (I wouldn’t bet on it) I made the video to show that specific cards from that video were being sold days after it airing.
I watched that Raiders Vegas Dave video and at the end, he says, “your not gonna see this card for a long time” (while he was holding the NT 1/1 RPA). However, I don’t recall him ever saying that he would not sell his Carr’s. 🤷🏼♂️ idk, maybe it was a different carr vd video lol. Cool video and great content!!!

Yeah there’s a point where he says “I control the market and I’m not selling anytime soon” then like 7 days later he made another video showing people which Derek Carr cards to buy. Three of the cards here were sold in between those 2 videos in that 7 day span. I kept being like “No way I’m actually seeing this” 😂

I collect Derek Carr cards and even understand that Vegas Dave is trying to manipulate the market by bullshiting Carr’s value. Derek Carr was great and very nice when meeting him but his play needs to improve before his card is worth anything as close as Vegas Dave is trying to sell it for.
Yeah Derek Carr is underrated, but the Lamar Jackson Cracked Ice auto sold for $6600 last month, so he’s saying that Carr is worth $20k... nah. Thanks for the honest opinion!
He is not the only one doing this, the sports card market is laughable inflated, not to mention card makers seeing the opportunity and flooding the market with this rare card and that rare card. There are so many variations of them that they will all eventually sink in value imo. This use to be a collect and hold type hobby, now speculators and manipulators seem to rule it. Lol to anyone who spends the kind of money not only what resellers want but company's like Topps are laughing all the way to the bank and they make another thousands dollar super blah blah blah set of cards.
If anything it didn't really hurt this hobby because it was long dead before it was turned into this new form of crypto that it has become during this pandemic.

What a joke, people need to beware of this stuff, and don't take everything for granted ......take the time to do some research before you buy something, and if something looks out of the ordinary look into it further because stuff like this happens.....good video man.
