Thank you for this! I will start pre-k with my 4 year old daughter in the fall. I also have an almost 2 year old boy who is a bit on the "active" side lol. They really struggle to get along so I will be supplementing with an MDO/2 days a week preschool for my sanity. They will each go on separate days one day and then one day together so I can have them together 2 days, separately one day each and then one day to myself. Watching all your videos has really helped me be more confident as a secular homeschooler. All of the resources for my city are Christian and it gets a little overwhelming. I am going through your playlists and learning a lot. Thank you!

This is awesome. My 4yr old is also in Timberdoodle PreK and I was like... this is a lot. I'm glad I'm not the only one that slimmed down the curriculum and made some of the things on the schedule optional.
Hi just subscribed to your channel 😊 love your content! I have a preschooler and a toddler so it's all a bit of a juggling act. My Preschooler loves to move around and be active a lot, so with him I find that curricula that incorporates a lot of hands-on activities are best suited! And while we are working together I have a few activities set up for my toddler in our montessori inspired activity shelf!
May I ask what curriculum was it that you used? Or examples of good ones? I feel like my daughter would like one like that as well, with a lot of activity and hands on type learning

We only do 20-30 minutes max, and usually break those down in a couple of different activities, but they just can’t sit still. They’ll run around, make a mess of what’s on the table, throw stuff (both playfully and in frustration)... when I saw your rice box at first I thought “cool, I should do it too!” but I quickly realized I would find myself with rice all over the house. :D Do you have the name of the Etsy store where you found that packet? And also where did you get the dinosaur print on the easel?
Yes! I clean up rice often. My younger brothers are twins, I doubt my parents ever would have considered homeschooling. 😂 You have got this! Making Everyday Magic thank you! Yes, homeschooling twins is terrifying, but I’m still determined to give it a fair try. Both because of the pandemic, and because I think it’s the best thing for our family dynamics.
We have used the All About Reading program. We used it last year, I think level 3, with my older daughter. This year we are using the AAR Pre-Reading for 4 year old. I do like the program very much. It is a no pressure approach and they involve creative teaching styles, puppets and colorings. They also have several apps which I love. Both of my girls do track to finish the whole program by Christmas break. AAR recommends 20 minutes a day, not teaching to lesson completion. AAR Pre-Reading is on my upcoming list of in-depth look.
Hi, I used children Learning Reading first with my son, once he completed that I moved on to Alpha-phonics and now we are doing all about reading. I would say children learning reading is a great start but my son loves all about reading and that is what we are continuing with.. All the hands-on activities are fantastic for little ones!
We just love the All About Reading program. I love their approach and my kids genuinely think it's fun. We've settled on sticking with it for now. I'm not debating on using their spelling program as well. 🤔

Both of girls started in a 2 day a week MDO. They are still convinced that's what school is like. 🤣 I wish!

Love this! Great ideas. I want school to be hands-on and engaging as well, it's just more fun that way.
